• Android Xperia X10 SoundPool

  Hi All, I have had some reports from users of my android app that there is no sound being played on the X10. I'm a bit confused as it works on all other phones that I have tried, Neus One, Hero, Droid. I'm using the SoundPool class to play sounds, has anybody else had similar issues with the X10? • Why doesn't git commit -a add new files?

  I'm a bit new to git, and I fail to understand why git commit -a only stages changed and deleted files but not new files. Can anyone explain why is it like this, and why there is no other commit flag to enable adding files and committing in one command? BTW, hg commit -A adds both new and deleted files to the commit

  Can someone please explain what the "partition by" keyword does and give a simple example of it in action, as well as why one would want to use it? I have a SQL query written by someone else and I'm trying to figure out what it does. • Loading DLL in Java - Eclipse - JNI

  I am trying to load a dll in java using the following code System.loadLibrary("mydll"); The project is placed in D:\development\project\ and i have placed the dll on D:. I then gave following VM argument in eclipse configuration -Djava.library.path=D:/ But when i run i get UnsatisifiedLinkerError. After googling a bit, I used System.load("D:\mydll.dll"); but again getting the same problem, could someone can help?

  Afternoon, Bit of a tricky question this one, I have a website and need to translate the pages into french, I am using google translate API to do the translation. What I am doing is loading in the HTML templates into a string using PHP and then need to translate the text copy on the pages and then save as for example: fr_master_header.html de_master_header.html The problem I have is identifying the text copy on the page ignoring the HTML, replacing the copy in the extact place and then saving the file with the HTML tags and trasnlated text copy. • gtk2 auto translation is choosing the wrong language

  Not sure if yall can help this time, as I'm just using this particular program not coding with it... I downloaded Deluge, a free torrent app, and it requires GTK2 Runtime which I've also installed. Unfortunately, on my English WinXP with East Asian Language support Deluge sets itself to Chinese menus and has no option to alter the language. A bit of poking around on the internet suggests this is due to GTK2 selecting the wrong default language. Does anyone know how I can override this?

  Considering the negative effects of document.write(), why are most tracking/marketing tags written using document.write()? I've thought about it quite a bit, and the only respectable idea I've come up with is that by writing it client side, we're guaranteed the browser won't try to cache the resource. Is that it? Any other ideas?

  Hi; I'm trying to create a multi-sheet excel document, and thus far I'd been doing it in PHP - but using PHPExcel was eating up 70MB of RAM for about 60,000 spreadsheet cells total. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with Spreadsheet::WriteExcel and if it has problems with creating very large documents. I'd just give it a shot but I'm very inexperienced with Perl and it could take me quite a bit of time to get this up and rolling even if for a test, and I thought someone here might have insight for me.

  Trying a bit of AJAX, and I find that much of my data is littered with underscores! Documentation confirms that this is working as intended. Any way to pass my form information to PHP in tact? I'm using code igniter, so my pass looks like /controller/function/variable, receiving controller: controller{ function($v=0){#what once was hello world is now hello_world...} } I can't very well do an undo, data might contain an underscore.   How good is the new Ruby Installer for Windows? I asked before about why Ruby was so slow on windows and now I've seen some impressive benchmarks showing marked speed improvements with the minGW compilation used in the new installers and am curious how it has worked for people who have tried it?
