  • Any good jQuery plugins to awesomify my pagination?

    I have a basic pagination system that looks something like that: First | < Previous | 1, 2, [3], 4, 5 ... 100, 101, 102 | Next > | Last Nothing fancy really. I am looking at various plugins to improve the way the user would browse this, but so far I haven't found anything really new or interesting except: http://tympanus.net/jPaginate/ : interesting way of browsing between pages but still very classical in the realization http://cpojer.net/Scripts/Pagination/ : totally new way of doing pagination, but the implementation isn't perfect and it's not really usable. Do you guys have ideas on how I could improve the way my users browse through navigation? Are there any good jQuery plugins out there already doing that?

  • Back-to-back ajax long poll without a recursive callback function.

    I'm trying to make long poll ajax calls, back to back. The problem with the current way I'm doing it is that I make each successive call from the callback function of the previous call. Is this a problem? Firebug doesn't show any of my ajax calls as completed, even thought the data is returned and the callback is executed. The recursive structure seems inefficient. Any ideas?

As you can see I allow user to select multiple Items. I want to open on Submit button click as many popup windows as many Items he selected in a list. Each popUp window should open some url like www.example.com/test.php?id=OPTION_SELECTED . And here I mean by PopUp Window a real browser window. So for each of the selected options I ll get a pop up window whith diferent url. Please Help.

    I'm developing an iPhone application in Titanium, and need to append a row to a particular TableViewSection. I can't do this on page load, as it's done dynamically by the user throughout the lifecycle of the application. The documentation says that the TableViewSection has an add method which takes two arguments, but I can't make it work. Here's my existing code: for(var i = 0; i <= product_count; i++){ productsTableViewSection.add( Ti.UI.createTableViewRow({ title:'Testing...' }) ); } That is just passing one argument in, and that causes Titanium to die with an uncaught exception: 2010-04-26 16:57:18.056 MyApplication[72765:207] *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'Invalid update: invalid number of rows in section 2. I've looked through the KitchenSink app, but there are no examples that I could find of adding a row to a TableViewSection. Any help is appreciated.

I suspect its where i use var product = $(li); or perhaps with the expression on the loop itself. Either way - I need to loop through the <li> items in the <ul> labelled #productList

Afer going into the source code of the page, I found that those drop-down areas are contained in divs with class fOut. It turns out that this is being done with MooTools.     I have a web app that has several tree views. When the page loads i see the unordered lists and after a small latency the styling of the tree is rendered into the DOM. Is there a way to mask the webapp, and have a spinner in the middle of the screen, and when everything on the page is fully rendered the spinner goes away and the mask fades out? Kind of like a semi transparent mask that you would see on a lightbox pop-up dialog.

Preferably using the annotated timeline Google has (since it has a nice wrapper plugin for rails): http://code.google.com/apis/visualization/documentation/gallery/annotatedtimeline.html However, there doesn't seem to be a way to create a step chart using the annotated timeline or any other chart in the Google API. I'm looking to make a plot like this: If there is no way to do this with the google API, is there an alternative graphing library that can handle such a task?

    I have a small quiz app, which is a cross-platform mobile app, that I plan for it to run on Android, iOS, and WP8. I want to store a local highscore, where it will keep track how many points the user had, and if he/she does better than the already stored highscore, update the current highscore. Though, I want the highscore to be persistent, what I mean is, every time the user opens the app I want the last highscore to be present and it to be compared with the new quiz score. Meaning, I don't want the highscore to be deleted after each time the app is closed. I also want for the first time when the app is ran, the highscore to be set to 0, so obviously the first time the user finishes the quiz gets a new highscore. I have those codes so far: scoredb.js // Wait for device API libraries to load document.addEventListener("deviceready", initScoreDB, false); // Device APIs are available function initScoreDB() { window.localStorage.setItem("score", 0); highscore = window.localStorage.getItem("score"); } main.js var correct = 0; var highscore; // In between I have some code that keeps incrementing // correct variable for each correct answer. if (correct > highscore) { window.localStorage.setItem("score", correct); highscore = correct; } It does seem to work okay once the app is started. I did the quiz three times, in the simulator, and it keeps the score as it should. Though, each time I open the app, highscore is reseted to 0. I guess it is due to the fact that I call initScoreDB when the device is ready, and I initialize the score to 0 there and give that value to highscore. Can someone help me to initialize the score to 0 only when the app is ran for the first time, and all the other times to keep the latest highscore as the current highscore and compare it each time with the score that is achieved when the quiz is finished. If someone can help me, I would be glad.

    In Internet Explorer 7, this code executes consistently in 47 ms: function updateObjectValues() { $('.objects').html(12345678); // ~500 DIVs } however, this code executes consistently in 157 ms: function updateObjectValues() { $('.objects').html('12345678'); // ~500 DIVs } Passing a number is over 3x faster than a string. Why are these results so dramatically different? And, is there any way to help the performance of the string?

  • Jqyery Bugs?? Long decimal number after two numbers multiply...

    Hi all I am working on a shopping site and I am trying to calculate the subtotal of products. I got my price from a array and quantity from getJSON response array. Two of them multiply comes to my subtotal. I can change the quantity and it will comes out different subtotal. However,when I change the quantity to certain number, the final subtotal is like 259.99999999994 or some long decimal number. I use console.log to check the $price and $qty. Both of them are in the correct format ex..299.99 and 6 quantity.I have no idea what happen. I would appreciate it if someone can help me about it.   • jQuery AJAX request (Rails 3) gets redirected and returns empty message body!

    I'm trying to do a manual jQuery AJAX request the following way: $("#user_plan_id").change(function() { $("#plan_container").load('/plans/' + this.value); }); I have the "rails.js" file included in my header, and a "<%= csrf_meta_tag %". I see from my log that the request IS getting to the server (although without the authenticity token... does rails.js even do this?), but the response is a 302 (Found) rather than 200, and no data actually gets rendered. Any ideas? Edit: I now see that the first request redirects, and the proper partial gets rendered on the redirect. However, the 2nd response's body (on the client-side) is still empty. I'm guessing jQuery uses the first response and doesn't have a listener set up for the redirect. How do I get around this? Also, another note: the page doing the requesting is an HTTPS page. Here is what my log says: Started GET "/plans/221168073" for 127.0.0.1 at Tue Jun 15 01:24:06 -0400 2010 Processing by PlansController#show as HTML Parameters: {"id"=>"221168073"} DEPRECATION WARNING: Using #request_uri is deprecated.     Hello! I'm stuck on a problem and, after what seems like days of searching for a solution, I'm reaching out to Stack Overflow for help. I'm trying to replace a standard dropdown form element with a Textbox and a Div containing an unordered list. I'd prefer to have the solution be based on jQuery, but am open to alternatives. I've found a couple jQuery plugins that -almost- do what I need, but are far enough from being a real solution that I need to keep looking. Here's an image of what I'm going for: I'd like the dropdown to look as pictured, and when an element is selected (with mouse or keyboard), have just the first line handed back into the textbox (and not be editable). I'd also like to populate a hidden input field with a value that will be used on Submit. I'm pulling my hair out over this one. Any help and guidance will be most appreciated! Thanks! ~PF

  • copy an element as HTML to clipboard

    I've managed to write some jQuery to find an element and copy it's html to the clipboard (ie only). The problem is that when I paste this into a rich text box area in sharepoint it pastes the HTML as text only. How do i replicate the user action of highlighting a link on a page and pressing copy. When I do this manually and then paste the clipboard contents the rich text area realises that it is markup and replicates the link as an anchor in the text content.

I tried specifying margin:0;padding:0 with CSS to no avail.
