  • Online Sports betting website using Drupal

    - by Saurabh
    I wanted to know how suitable is Drupal for making a sports betting website similar to http://www.sportsinteraction.com/ . I am aware that there are modules like Bookmaker in Drupal which could help . However, I am puzzled about how to handle the user accounts can be extended to keep a track of the money in each individual account. Also I have with me betting scripts purchased from http://sportbettingscript.com/ . Can the same be integrated with Drupal? Wish to know your thoughts. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • jQuery hold form submit until "continue" button pressed

    - by Seán McCabe
    I am trying to submit a form, which I have had working, but have now modified it to include a modal jQuery UI box, so that it won't submit until the user presses "continue". I've had various problems with this, including getting the form to hold until that button is pressed, but I think I have found a solution to that, but implementing it, I am getting a SyntaxError which I can't find the source of. With the help of kevin B managed to find the answer was the form was submitting, but the returned JSON response wasn't quite formatted right. The response was that the form wasn't being submitted, so that problem is still occurring. So updated the code with the provided feedback, now need to find out why the form isnt submitting. I know its something to do with the 2nd function isnt recognising the submit button has been pressed, so need to know how to submit that form data without the form needing to be submitted again. Below is the new code: function submitData() { $("#submitProvData").submit(function(event) { event.preventDefault(); var gTotal, sTotal, dfd; var dfd = new $.Deferred(); $('html,body').animate({ scrollTop: 0 }, 'fast'); $("#submitProvData input").css("border", "1px solid #aaaaaa"); $("#submitProvData input[readonly='readonly']").css("border", "none"); sTotal = $('#summaryTotal').val(); gTotal = $('#gptotal').val(); if(gTotal !== 'sTotal'){ $("#newsupinvbox").append('<div id="newsupinvdiagbox" title="Warning - Totals do not match" class="hidden"><p>Press "Continue", to submit the invoice flagged for attention.</p> <br /><p class="italic">or</p><br /> <p>Press "Correct" to correct the discrepancy.</p></div>') //CREATE DIV //SET $("#newsupinvdiagbox").dialog({ resizable: false, autoOpen:false, modal: true, draggable: false, width:380, height:240, closeOnEscape: false, position: ['center',20], buttons: { 'Continue': function() { $(this).dialog('close'); reData(); }, // end continue button 'Correct': function() { $(this).dialog('close'); return false; } //end cancel button }//end buttons });//end dialog $('#newsupinvdiagbox').dialog('open'); } return false; }); } function reData() { console.log('submitted'); $("#submitProvData").submit(function(resubmit){ console.log('form submit'); var formData; formData = new FormData($(this)[0]); $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "functions/invoicing_upload_provider.php", data: formData, async: false, success: function(result) { $.each($.parseJSON(result), function(item, value){ if(item == 'Success'){ $('#newsupinv_window_message_success_mes').html('The provider invoice was uploaded successfully.'); $('#newsupinv_window_message_success').fadeIn(300, function (){ reset(); }).delay(2500).fadeOut(700); } else if(item == 'Error'){ $('#newsupinv_window_message_error_mes').html(value); $('#newsupinv_window_message_error').fadeIn(300).delay(3000).fadeOut(700); } else if(item == 'Warning'){ $('#newsupinv_window_message_warning_mes').html(value); $('#newsupinv_window_message_warning').fadeIn(300, function (){ reset(); }).delay(2500).fadeOut(700); } }); }, error: function() { $('#newsupinv_window_message_error_mes').html("An error occured, the form was not submitted"); $('#newsupinv_window_message_error').fadeIn(300); $('#newsupinv_window_message_error').delay(3000).fadeOut(700); }, cache: false, contentType: false, processData: false }); }); }

  • jQuery AJAX request (Rails 3) gets redirected and returns empty message body!

    - by elsurudo
    I'm trying to do a manual jQuery AJAX request the following way: $("#user_plan_id").change(function() { $("#plan_container").load('/plans/' + this.value); }); I have the "rails.js" file included in my header, and a "<%= csrf_meta_tag %". I see from my log that the request IS getting to the server (although without the authenticity token... does rails.js even do this?), but the response is a 302 (Found) rather than 200, and no data actually gets rendered. Any ideas? Edit: I now see that the first request redirects, and the proper partial gets rendered on the redirect. However, the 2nd response's body (on the client-side) is still empty. I'm guessing jQuery uses the first response and doesn't have a listener set up for the redirect. How do I get around this? Also, another note: the page doing the requesting is an HTTPS page. Here is what my log says: Started GET "/plans/221168073" for 127.0.0.1 at Tue Jun 15 01:24:06 -0400 2010 Processing by PlansController#show as HTML Parameters: {"id"=>"221168073"} DEPRECATION WARNING: Using #request_uri is deprecated. Use fullpath instead. (called from ensure_proper_protocol at /Users/ernestsurudo/Sites/vidfolia/vendor/plugins/ssl_requirement/lib/ssl_requirement.rb:57) Redirected to http://vidfolia.com/plans/221168073 Completed 302 Found in 1ms Perhaps it has something to do with the deprecation warning?

  • Does Uploadify support jQuery 1.4?

    - by marcgg
    Does uploadify supports jQuery 1.4? The site states that it needs: jQuery v1.2.x or greater ... but the demo runs on 1.3.2 and I don't feel like trying to get everything to work just to realize that it's some feature I want later is not compatible with my version of jQuery.

  • I need some pointers on how to implement inertia

    - by gargantaun
    Ok, so I've created a little plugin that takes a bunch of elements and creates a sort of never ending list. I'll try to explain... I have a div, and it's got about 20 elements tags in it. When the user scrolls up, the top element moves out of view and is moved to the bottom of the list. And vice-versa so that when the user scrolls down, the bottom element is moved to the top of the list. This is specifically for Mobile Safari (iPad, iPhone) web content and you can see the work in progress here... http://appliedworks.co.uk/files/times/SVGTests/drumView/drum.html You'll need an iPad or iPhone top see the scrolling in action. You can see the plugin code here... http://appliedworks.co.uk/files/times/SVGTests/drumView/drumView-0.1b.js What I would like to do is implement inertia so the scrolling slows to a halt in response to how fast or slow the user is scrolling when their finger leaves the screen. Just like the inertia commonly found in the iPhone / iPad UI. The problem is, every time an element moves to the top or the bottom of the list, the scollTop value for the parent div is adjusted to make it look like all the elements are staying in the same place. Which means the scrollTop value is never more than the top elements total height. So there's no value I can think of that I can keep on manipulating to give the illusion of inertia. I'm stumped. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • How do I fully reload my Sencha Touch App when tapping 'refresh'?

    - by torr
    My list view layout is similar to Pinterest, with absolutely positioned blocks. Unfortunately, this seems to require a full re-initialization at refresh. If reload only the store (as below) the new blocks are incorrectly positioned. How do I reload the app when the user clicks on refresh? This is my View: Ext.require(['Ext.data.Store', 'MyApp.model.StreamModel'], function() { Ext.define('MyApp.view.HomeView', { extend: 'Ext.navigation.View', xtype: 'homepanel', requires: [ 'Ext.dataview.List', ], config: { title: 'Home', iconCls: 'home', styleHtmlContent: true, navigationBar: { items: [ { xtype: 'button', iconMask: true, iconCls: 'refresh', align: 'left', action: 'refreshButton' } ] }, items: { title: 'My', xtype: 'list', itemTpl: [ '<div class="post">', ... '</div>' ].join(''), store: new Ext.data.Store({ model: 'MyApp.model.StreamModel', autoLoad: true, storeId: 'stream' }), } } }); }); Model: Ext.define('MyApp.model.StreamModel', { extend: 'Ext.data.Model', config: { fields: [ 'post_id', 'comments' ], proxy: { type: 'jsonp', url: 'http://My.com/app', reader: { type: 'json', } } } }); and my Controller: Ext.define('MyApp.controller.RefreshController', { extend: 'Ext.app.Controller', requires: [ 'Ext.navigation.View' ], config: { control: { 'button[action=refreshButton]': { tap: 'refresh' } } }, refresh: function() { // Ext.StoreMgr.get('stream').load(); // here I'd like to reload the app instead // not just the store } });

  • Show only one validation error-message using replaceWith

    - by timkl
    I am currently working with the jQuery validation plugin, and I want to show only one error-message before the form itself. Right now the validation shows all the error-messages on top of each others as they stack up, as you can see in my live example: http://timkjaerlange.com/foobar/stack-stuff/validate-test.html This is my jQuery: $(document).ready(function() { $("form").validate({ rules: { // bunch of rules here, left out to keep it simple }, messages: { // messages goes here }, errorElement: 'div', errorClass: 'error', errorPlacement: function(error, element) { error.insertBefore('form'); // this is what I've got $('div').replaceWith(error); // trying to replace the prev error } }); }); Anybody know how to this? Is this the best way to show only one error-message? Any help is highly appreciated.

  • IE7 is making my life miserable! Getting gaps between html table columns (w/ colspan) with css togg

    - by Art Peterson
    Copy/paste this html code snippet and try it out in IE7. When you toggle the hidden columns it leaves a gap between the columns. In Firefox it works fine, the columns touch when minimized. Haven't tried IE8 yet, would be curious to hear how it works there. Any ideas? I've tried a bunch of things in the CSS like table-layout:fixed but no luck. Note: Not looking for a different toggling method because the table I'm really dealing with is 50+ columns wide and 4000+ rows so looping/jquery techniques are too slow. Here's the code - if someone can re-post a working version of it I'll instantly give them the check and be forever in your debt! <DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> <html> <head> <script> function toggle() { var tableobj = document.getElementById("mytable"); if (tableobj.className == "") { tableobj.className = "hide1 hide2"; } else { tableobj.className = ""; } } </script> <style> table { border-collapse: collapse; } td, th { border: 1px solid silver; } .hide1 .col1 { display: none; } .hide2 .col2 { display: none; } </style> </head> <body> <input type="button" value="toggle" onclick="toggle();" /> <table id="mytable"> <tr> <th>A</th> <th colspan="2">B</th> <th colspan="2" class="col1">B1</th> <th colspan="2">C</th> <th colspan="2" class="col2">C1</th> </tr> <tr> <td>123</td> <td>456</td> <td>789</td> <td class="col1">123</td> <td class="col1">456</td> <td>789</td> <td>123</td> <td class="col2">456</td> <td class="col2">789</td> </tr> </table> </body> </html>

  • jQuery: Trouble inserting DOM elements

    - by Rosarch
    I want to add a set of lists to the children of another DOM element: var req_subsets = $("#req_subsets"); $.each(subsets, function(index, subset) { var subset_list = $("<ul></ul>"); // add DOM elements to subset_list req_subsets.append(subset_list); }); However, only one DOM element is ever added. This makes me suspect that when I assign a new value to subset_list, the old one is overwritten. If that is the problem, how do I avoid it? If not, what else am I doing wrong? UPDATE: I changed something else, and I'm almost entirely certain that this is fixed.

  • IE not triggering keyboard event on a form with ONE FIELD

    - by raj
    I'm seeing my Friend's code here... <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE> Check action </TITLE> <script> function detectEvent(){ if(window.event.keyCode==13) { alert("you hit return!"); } } </script> </HEAD> <BODY> <form name="name1" onkeyup="detectEvent()" action="page2.html"> <p> Field1 <input type="text" id="text1"/> </p> </form> </BODY> </HTML> and when he tried entering a value in the textbox and pressed enter, it did not call the detectEvent(). I said, it'll always call onSubmit on enter button..... and he surprised me, <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE> Check action </TITLE> <script> function detectEvent(){ if(window.event.keyCode==13) { alert("you hit return!"); } } </script> </HEAD> <BODY> <form name="name1" onkeyup="detectEvent()" action="page2.html"> <p> Field1 <input type="text" id="text1"/> </p> <p> Field1 <input type="text" id="text2"/> </p> </form> </BODY> </HTML> Now press enter, The function gets called.....   • jQuery sortColumns plugin: How to sort correctly with rowspan

    - by Thang Pham
    Following this post jQuery table sort (github link: https://github.com/padolsey/jQuery-Plugins/blob/master/sortElements/jquery.sortElements.js), I am successfully sort columns, however it does not work in the case of rowspan: For example, case like this Grape 3,096,671M 1,642,721M Apple 2,602,750M 3,122,020M When I click on the second column, it try to sort Apple 2,602,750M 1,642,721M Grape 3,096,671M 3,122,020M which as you can see is not correct, please any jQuery guru help me fix this problem. Here is my code var inverse = false; function sortColumn(index){ index = index + 1; var table = jQuery('#resultsTable'); table.find('td').filter(function(){ return jQuery(this).index() == index; }).sortElements(function(a, b){ a = convertToNum($(a).text()); b = convertToNum($(b).text()); return ( isNaN(a) || isNaN(b) ? a > b : +a > +b ) ? inverse ? -1 : 1 : inverse ? 1 : -1; },function(){ return this.parentNode; }); inverse = !inverse; } function convertToNum(str){ if(isNaN(str)){ var holder = ""; for(i=0; i<str.length; i++){ if(!isNaN(str.charAt(i))){ holder += str.charAt(i); } } return holder; }else{ return str; } } Question: 1.How do I sort this with rowspan. THE NUMBER OF ROWSPAN IS NOT ALWAYS THE SAME. The above example both Grape and Apple have rowspan of 2, but this is not always the case. 2.Can any explain this syntax: return ( isNaN(a) || isNaN(b) ? a > b : +a > +b ) ? inverse ? -1 : 1 : inverse ? 1 : -1; So I can see that if either a or b is not a number, then do string comparison otherwise do number comparison, but I dont understand the inverse ? -1 : 1 : inverse ? 1 : -1;

  • Assign click event to addon icon on navigation bar

    - by Charsee
    We have created a chrome extension for our app. Where we call a METHOD from a "js file" on CLICK event of the "extension icon" placed on the navigation bar. For this we use message passing between the app.js (file containing the METHOD to be called on icon click) and background.html (using a js file included in this html). The script used to pass message is:(from background.html) chrome.browserAction.onClicked.addListener(function (tab) { chrome.tabs.sendMessage(tab.id, "showPopup"); }); and to listen the message :(in app.js) chrome.extension.onMessage.addListener(function(request) { if (request === "showPopup") { showPopup(); } }); The click event works as expected. But now we want to do same thing in mozilla extension. and we can't pass message to app.js on the click of the icon,so that it can execute the containing methods. We have also added the app.js using pageMod, something like this exports.main = function(options, callbacks) { pageMod.PageMod({ include: ["*"], contentScriptWhen: 'start', contentScriptFile: [data.url('jquery-1.7.1.min.js'),data.url('app.js')] }); createAndAddNavBarButton(); }; function createAndAddNavBarButton() { var navBar = document.getElementById('nav-bar');//assume document has been defined if (!navBar){return;}; var nbBtn = document.createElement('navbaricon'); nbBtn.setAttribute('id', 'navButton'); nbBtn.setAttribute('image', data.url('icon_16.png')); nbBtn.onclick = function(){ showPopup(); return true; } navBar.appendChild(btn); } But the click event does nothing and showPopup() is undefined. When a new page loads event associated with it in the app.js executes without any error but the click event doesn't work. Is there a method from where we can assign click event directly to this icon, as we have done in the case of chrome extension.

  • Backbone.js Collection Iteration Using .each()

  • What is the best way to limit text input entry to numbers, lowercase letters, and certain symbols?

    - by Adam Maras
    Without using jQuery, what is the best way to limit text entry of a textbox to numbers, lowercase letters and a given set of symbols (for example - and _)? If the user enters an uppercase letter, I would like it to be automatically converted to a lowercase letter, and if the user enters a symbol not within the given set, I would like to be able to instantly show a validation error (show some element adjacent to or below the text box). What's the cleanest cross-browser way of doing this without the aid of jQuery?

  • Update table rows in a non-sequential way using the output of a php script

    - by moviemaniac
    Good evening everybody, this is my very first question and I hope I've done my search in stack's archive at best!!! I need to monitor several devices by querying theyr mysql database and gather some informations. Then these informations are presented to the operator in an html table. I have wrote a php script wich loads devices from a multidimensional array, loops through the array and gather data and create the table. The table structure is the following: <table id="monitoring" class="rt cf"> <thead class="cf"> <tr> <th>Device</th> <th>Company</th> <th>Data1</th> <th>Data2</th> <th>Data3</th> <th>Data4</th> <th>Data5</th> <th>Data6</th> <th>Data7</th> <th>Data8</th> <th>Data9</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <tr id="Device1"> <td>Devide 1 name</td> <td>xx</td> <td><img src="/path_to_images/ajax_loader.gif" width="24px" /></td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> </tr> <tr id="Device2"> <td>Devide 1 name</td> <td>xx</td> <td><img src="/path_to_images/ajax_loader.gif" width="24px" /></td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> </tr> <tr id="DeviceN"> <td>Devide 1 name</td> <td>xx</td> <td><img src="/path_to_images/ajax_loader.gif" width="24px" /></td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td>&nbsp;</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> The above table is directly populated when I first load the page; then, with a very simple function, i update this table every minute without reloading the page: <script> var auto_refresh = setInterval( function() { jQuery("#monitoring").load('/overview.php').fadeIn("slow"); var UpdateTime= new Date(); var StrUpdateTime; StrUpdateTime= ('0' + UpdateTime.getHours()).slice(-2) + ':' + ('0' + UpdateTime.getMinutes()).slice(-2) + ':' + ('0' + UpdateTime.getSeconds()).slice(-2); jQuery("#progress").text("Updated on: " + StrUpdateTime); }, 60000); </script> The above code runs in a wordpress environment. It comes out that when devices are too much and internet connection is not that fast, the script times out, even if i dramatically increase the timeout period. So it is impossible even to load the page the first time... Therefore I would like to change my code so that I can handle each row as a single entity, with its own refresh period. So when the user first loads the page, he sees n rows (one per device) with the ajax loader image... then an update cycle should start independently for each row, so that the user sees data gathered from each database... then ajax loader when the script is trying to retrieve data, then the gathered data once it has been collected or an error message stating that it is not possible to gather data since hour xx:yy:zz. So rows updating should be somewhat independent from the others, like if each row updating was a single closed process. So that rows updating is not done sequentially from the first row to the last. I hope I've sufficiently detailed my problem. Currently I feel like I am at a dead-end. Could someone please show me somewhere to start from?
