The rule is to simply hide what's behind the edges of the shapes from the point of view of the entity. The image clarifies everything: I need it either as an input to the artificial intelligence either graphically, to show it for a specific entity while it moves.. Any cool ideas?

I read it in the scala programming book, that there is a cool for-yield construction, but I probably haven't understood the way it works correctly, because my code doesn't compile. Here it is: val d = for { i <- 0 until 4 j <- 0 until 4 } yield { c = new Constraints c.gridx = j c.gridy = i } I want to generate a List[Constraints] and for every constraint set different x,y values so later, when I later add the components, they're going to be in a grid.

    Hello, I'm working in a course's project to predict the velocity and position of the solar system planets (and other objects). It will be really cool if I can visualize the predicted objects data, if it's possible generating 3D images, if in video that's amazing. Do you know any library that lets me to use this data to generate an image or video?   • Ideas for student parallel programming project

    I'm looking to do a parallel programming project in C (probably using pthreads or maybe OpenMP) for a class. It will done by a group of about four students, and should take about 4 weeks. I was thinking it would be interesting to attack some NP-complete problem with a more complex algorithm like a genetic algo with simulated annealing, but I'm not sure if it would be a big enough project. Anyone knew of any cool problems that could benefit from a parallel approach?

  • Jquery Effect Onunload

    I would like to use the jquery slideUp effect when the user navigates away from the page just to make the page look cool as it closes. I assume that I should use the onunload event but how can I delay the page closing long enough for the effect to run to completion. One of the options that came to mind is effectively hijacking the page closing function, storing it in some variable and then executing it once I had run my effect but I have no idea how I would do that. Any suggestions or alternative ideas are more than welcome

I really like mindmapping as a way to organise information and I think it would be really cool to have a piece of software that allowed you to organise bookmarks into a dynamic mind map.     Hello, I've stumbled upon this flash map http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/special/nation/unemployment-by-county/ it looks like they used this map to construct the website. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:USA_Counties_with_FIPS_and_names.svg I am curious as to what people have done or any blogs that describe what can be done with flex and simple maps like this (not google maps style maps) but simple all-in-memory maps like this one. It would be cool to see what/ and how flex can do in terms of maps. thanks!
