  • Custom Item in ListActivity on Android

    Hello everyone, I've spent hours reading through the SDK reference, googling and reading tutorials - but I still can't figure it out. I would like to know how to create a custom list item in the ListActivity widget on Android. Something similar to a Twitter client interface. Each list item has different types of text, possibly an icon, etc. Does anyone know of any resources that would help me understand the process of creating something like that? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

    Does anyone have a macro that copy data from one sheet to another based on the current date? I am working with a single workbook of three sheets. Sheet one will hold the manual input of daily production figures for multiple plants, sheet two is to hold ongoing daily data, keyed on sheet one. The macro will be associated with a button, so that once clicked it would search for every row that has a date of today, and copy that row to the next available blank row on sheet two. Sample Data...   • Trapping events within list box item templates in WPF

    I've got listbox that employs an item template. Within each item in the list, as defined in the template there is a button. When the user clicks the button I change a value in the data source that defines the sort order of the list. Changing the datasource is not a problem as this is working just fine within my application template. However my next step is to reload the listbox with the new sorted data source. I've tried doing this from the tempalte but it apparently doesn't have access (or I can't figure out how to get access) to the parent elements so I can reset the .ItemSource property with a newly sorted data source. Seems like this is possible but the solution is eluding me :(

  • How can I copy from the browser and paste to vim without unicode problems

    This happens to me all the time: I copy something from a rich text screen (usually a browser) and then paste it into vim. Usually its a code block and then when I go to compile or run or what have you I get all kind of bazaar errors. I scratch my head, and then spend half an hour trying to figure out what is wrong before I realize I've copied some non ASCII characters: dashes, left and right quotes, long underscores, multiplication signs in place of x's, etc. So I ask you: how can I copy non-ASCII into my VIM session without error? Is there a paste mode that automatically 'down samples' unicode to ASCII? Is there a quick/dirty search for non ASCII characters in a file?

  • Java how to copy part of a file

    I have to read a file and depending of the content of the last lines, I have to copy most of its content into a new file. Unfortunately I didn't found a way to copy first n lines or chars of a file in java. The only way I found, is copying the file using nio FileChannels where I can specifiy the length in bytes. However, therefore I would need to know how many bytes the stuff I read needed in the source-file. Does anyone know a solution for one of these problems?

    Given a list of items x1 ... xn and associated probabilties p1 ... pn that sum up to 1 there's a well known procedure to select a random item with its associated proabability by sorting the list according to weight, choosing a random value between 1 and 0, and adding up to a culmination sum until it exceeds the value selected and return the item at this point. So if we have x1 - 0.5, x2 - 0.3, x3 - 0.2, if the randomly chosen value is less than 0.5 x1 will be chosen, if between 0.5 and 0.8, x2, and else x3. This requires sorting so it needs O(nlogn) time. Is there anything more efficient than that?

    I am currently working on a checked out SVN project along with some plugins for that project. I want to keep all of this work - including the current version of my SVN checkout within a single git repository. I thought I had achieved this by checking in the SVN working copy to git. However, when I did a pull on a new computer the SVN working copy had been corrupted. In particular it seemed that git had not checked it any of the .svn/tmp/ and .svn/props/ folders. I have now made a fresh checkout of the SVN project. Is there a way for me to add the ignored folders to my git repo (git status ignores them even though my .gitignore is empty) or force SVN to regenerate them?

  • Using windows CopyFile function to copy all files with certain name format

I am updating some C code that copys files with a certain name. basically, I have a directory with a bunch of files named like so: AAAAA.1.XYZ AAAAA.2.ZYX AAAAA.3.YZX BBBBB.1.XYZ BBBBB.2.ZYX Now, In the old code, they just used a call to ShellExecute and used xcopy.exe. to get all the files starting with AAAAA, they just gave xcopy the name of the file as AAAAA.* and it knew to copy all of the files starting with AAAAA. now, im trying to get it to copy with out having to use the command line, and I am running into trouble. I was hoping CopyFile would be smart enough to handle AAAAA.* as the file to be copied, but it doesnt at all do what xcopy did. So, any Ideas on how to do this without the external call to xcopy.exe?

  • Sending a 'copy' command in cocoa

    Is there any way to send a copy (command-c) instruction without using a cgEvent to mimic the keystrokes? I don't have access to the text field in the application I want to take text from, so need to replicate manually copying to the clipboard, and there seemss to be a bug with cgevent posting. According the Quartz documentation, to type a capital Z I should use: CGEventRef event1, event2, event3, event4; event1 = CGEventCreateKeyboardEvent (NULL, (CGKeyCode)56, true); event2 = CGEventCreateKeyboardEvent (NULL, (CGKeyCode)6, true); event3 = CGEventCreateKeyboardEvent (NULL, (CGKeyCode)6, false); event4 = CGEventCreateKeyboardEvent (NULL, (CGKeyCode)56, false); However, if I attach this set of instuctions to an NSTimer, it only works the first time it is fired. example output: ZzzZzzzzZZzzZ (vs expected ZZZZZZZZZ). How else might I send a copy command to the active window?

    I have been experimenting with async Linux network sockets (aio_read et al in aio.h/librt), and one thing i have been trying to find out is whether these are zero-copy or not. Pretty much all i have read so far discusses file I/O, whereas its network I/O i am interested in. AIO is a bit of a pain to use and i suspect is non-portable, so wondering whether its worth persevering with it. Zero-copy is just about the only advantage (albiet a major one for my purposes) it would have over (non-blocking) select/epoll..

    In a application of mine that is developed in C# I have the following code: byte[] resb = new byte[Buffer.ByteLength(blockAr) + Buffer.ByteLength(previous)]; Array.Copy(blockAr, 0, resb,0, blockAr.Length); Array.Copy(previous, 0, resb, blockAr.Length, previous.Length); It's a very simple code to concatenate two byte arrays. The problem is that in some particular situation that I don't know I have that exception: ArgumentOutOfRangeException: sourceIndex is less than the lower bound of the first dimension of sourceArray. I cannot see any of strange in my code and I am not able to reproduce the exception. Could anyone help me to identify the problem? thanks

    I want my users to be able to mark one or more items from an index view as "Active" or "Inactive" using a link. The text for the link should be state aware - so it might default to "Mark as Active" if the corresponding attribute was false or null, and "Mark as Inactive" if true. Once the user clicks the link and the attribute is updated in the controller, the link-text should update based on the new state. I am WAY off here, but this is a small sample of the code I have been trying...     I have a data view webpart of some other list on my Dispform.aspx page. I have added edit and create new links in it. Create new item link is workin fine but when I m clicking on edit, its showing me error: No item exist at http:....listname/Dispform.aspx?ID=1&Source=http://...listname/Allitems.aspx. It may have been deleted or renamed by other user. I found this post related to it. http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointcustomization/thread/e368d7c7-8878-4f74-a62b-9ebad50c6b9a But now in my case the problem is I don't wanna customize Allitems.aspx, and what I have understood in the above post guys have suggested that to change the query string.I can only customize DispForm.aspx. Now the query string which is passing by default is ID=@ID from Allitems.aspx to DispForm.aspx...and I have to use this ID query string variable in my parameter if I m passing it on to the next page. Anyone knows how to fix this? Thanks in advance,
