  • How to display CodeRush menu item in VS ?

    I just installed CodeRush to my VS and when I run VS for the first time after installation it showed me a dialog asking if I'm experienced user. While the dialog was visible I could see that there was new menu item in VS named DevExpress. There was a small check box on that dialog saying something about menu items that I probably should have checked. As I did not the menu items disappeared just after I clicked OK. I cannot make that menu item reappear. Can somebody help me with this ?

  • More 'Edit' navigation item

    I am using a UITabBarController as well as a UINavigationController on my app. In my UITabBarController I am using more than 5 items so I automatically get the 'More' item. I've managed to add a saving procedure so the order of those items will be kept in case somebody changes the order etc. With 'More' active I get the More navigation controller with the 'Edit' item positioned under my UINavigationController. Both navigation controller are visible. When I click on 'Edit though the More navigation controller disappears and seem to be hiding under my UINavigationController and therefore I can't see/use the 'Done' function to save my new order What did I miss?     I have a databound Listbox bound to a generic list as follows (Provider is a very simple class that just includes a single property (Name). ProviderList = new List<Provider>(); //Populate list Providers.ItemsSource = ProviderList; I can save the selected item with no problem but I can't manage to set the selected item from code afterwards. I am trying to do so as follows: int x = Providers.Items.IndexOf((Provider)_Settings["provider"]); However IndexOf() is always returning -1. If I inspect both Providers.Items[1] and _Setting["provider"] at runtime using the immediate window they both return {StoreRetrieveData.Provider} Name: "Greenflag" Am I doing something wrong (well clearly I am)?

    Why is the Child class's copy constructor called in the code below? I mean, it automatically converts Base to Child via the Child copy constructor.   • Move/copy files/folder in linux/solaris using only bash built-ins

    There was a situation when somebody moved the whole rootdir into a subdir on a remote system, thus all the system tools like cp, mv, etc didn't work anymore. We had an active session though but couldn't find a way to copy/move the files back using only bash built-ins. Do somebody know of a way to achieve this? I even thought about copy the cp or mv binary in the currentdir with while read -r; do echo $LINE; done and then redirect this to a file, but it didn't work. Guess because of all the special non printable chars in a binary file that can't be copied/displayed using echo. thanks.

    I have the below sample of preference items <CheckBoxPreference android:key="chkSound" android:summary="Sound is Off" android:title="Sound" /> I use a theme in the res/values to change the Summary text color <style name="ThemeDarkText"> <item name="android:textColor">#000000</item> </style> And in the code I write this line setTheme(R.style.ThemeDarkText); Its working fine in Android 2.1 but when I tried to run it on a different os (ex Android 4.0) It didn't change the summary text color just the title color only..!! Any help?

    what i need is i have linked my project with the cruise control, so when ever a build happens i want to copy the bin folder to a seperate destination folder with version number. That is when the project build happens for the second time i dont want to replace the bin folder of the first build i want to save this with another version number. How can i do that. Right now i got the thing how to copy the folder but it was overwriting the previous one. i dont want that to happen please help me how to implement the concept of versioning.

    I have a simple nav made up of the following HTML; <div class="inner"> <div class="button"><img class="portal" src="images/portalbutton.png" /></div> <a href="#"><div class="prod_description">&nbsp;</div></a> </div> There are a number of items (All set to float left along side each other) to make up a nav bar. When I hover over .button and/or .prod_description I want the .inner <div> to have the class .hover added to it. This is so I can set a background image around the whole thing (Kind of like highlighting the nav item). I only then want to remove .hover when another .button or .prod_description is hovered over, in which case this nav item takes the .hover class.

  • How do I take a copy of my working copy to share with others?

    I did a ton of changes to our code and before I commit, I would like a friend to review. Is there a way with SVN to take a copy of my working copy (to bundle everything in a package) and apply the changes I have made so far to another machines without having to commit? In the past, with another source control system, I was able to do the following to "pack" and "unpack" my changes.     Hello, I want to copy files from one directory to another (subdirectory) using Java. I have a directory, dir, with text files. I iterate over the first 20 files in dir, and want to copy them to another directory in the dir directory, which I have created right before the iteration. In the code, I want to copy the review (which represents the ith text file or review) to trainingDir. How can I do this? There seems not to be such a function (or I couldn't find).   • Excel can't remember how to copy/paste

    So, maybe someone else has an idea why this happens. I have a full-fledged version of Office 2007, works fine and all that jazz. However, if I try to copy and paste query results from SSMS, or anywhere else for that matter, I have to have an instance of Excel open and then paste. I can't copy, open Excel, and then paste. The little 'wait' circle pops up for a split second but nothing is pasted. I have never ran across this with any other program. Any good explanation for this? FFIW, it's Excel 2007 running in compatibility mode.

    I ran across this article on copy ellision in C++ and I've seen comments about it in the boost library. This is appealing, as I prefer my functions to look like verylargereturntype DoSomething(...) rather than void DoSomething(..., verylargereturntype& retval) So, I have two questions about this Google has virtually no documentation on this at all, how real is this? How can I check that this optimization is actually occuring? I assume it involves looking at the assembly, but lets just say that isn't my strong suit. If anyone can give a very basic example as to what successful ellision looks like, that would be very useful I won't be using copy ellision just to prettify things, but if I can be guaranteed that it works, it sounds pretty useful.

    Hi, I have a drop down list inside an update panel that is populated on postback from a sql data source. It has a parameter which is another control. I sometimes need multiple postbacks, but what happens is that each time the update panel refreshes, items are added to the dropdownlist. So the dropdown list ends up having data that is incorrect, or repeated data. I have the AppendDataboundItems property set to true because I need the first item to be blank. How can I overcome this problem? Is there another way to have a blank first item? (This dropdown is in an asp.net2.0 web app, and codebehind is in c#) Thank you.

  • Can VBScript determine the most recently modified (or added) file in a particular folder?

    Hello, I have a script (or more accurately WILL have a script) that checks a folder and copies a file from this folder to a different location (will run once per day). The fileName that I'd like to copy from, however, changes based on the date. Basically, instead of setting the "strFilePath" to "C:\somePath\somePath2\myFile.txt" I would like to simply take the most recently modified (or added - does this make a difference in terms of the script??) in the "somePath2" folder and copy it to the destination. Bonus (but not completely necessary) would be to check in the script if the file was modified/added in the last 24 hours and only copy it over in that case. Thanks for your help!

    I radically re-edited the question to explain better my application, as the xample I made up wasn't correct in many ways as you pointed out: I have one pointer to char and I want to copy it to another pointer and then add a NULL character at the end (in my real application, the first string is a const, so I cannot jsut modify it, that's why I need to copy it).   • how to update off screen pivot item

    I want to have a pivot with many PivotItems. However, doing so will impact memory. So I bind pivot to my ViewModel, which has 3 item, and pivot will generate 3 PivotItems. My ViewModel is of type ObservableCollection and my item does implement INotifyPropertyChanged. This works fine. But when I update my ViewModel, only the current PivotItem, and the right PivotItem is updated. The left PivotItem, which is off screen, is not updated. You can see it when you drag pivot to the left. How to fix this? Or WP7 doesnot update off screen PivotItem ?
