• Back button of Navigation Controller does not work!

  For some reason, if I try to go back to the main menu using the back button on the upper left corner, only the title returns to the previous menu, but not the view controller. View controller would return to the previous menu only if I explicitly call popViewControllerAnimated using some other button. Is there anyway to solve this? I think I've coded something wrong. Tried googling but couldn't find any cases like mine.

  I have a Vote domain class from my grails application containing properties like article_id and note I want to HQL query the Vote domain class in order to retrieve the 5 best rated articles having at least 10 votes. I tried : SELECT v.article_id, avg(v.note), count(*) FROM vote v where count(*) >= 10 group by v.article_id order by avg(v.note) desc limit 5; But unfortunately the insertion of where count(*) >= 10 throws an error. How can I do that in a simple way? Thank you for your help.

  I'm using MEF with ASP.NET MVC as demonstrated at http://blog.maartenballiauw.be/post/2009/06/17/Revised-ASPNET-MVC-and-the-Managed-Extensibility-Framework-(MEF).aspx. When I try to use Ninject, it seems that nothing gets injected. I did some debugging, and when I reverted to the original controller factory the injection worked. What needs to be changed, or what does Ninject need in terms of controller factories for it to work?

I am using the Requestmap concept by storing each role, user and requestmap inside the database only... Now my requirement is to provide the menu items based on the users assigned roles... For e.g.: If my "User" Main Menu have following Items : Dashboard Import User Manage User And if I have assigned a roles of Dashboard and Import User to the user with a username "auditor" then, only following Menu items should be displayed on the screen : User (Main Menu) - Dashboard (sub menu) - Import User (sub menu) I have explored the Spring Security ACL plugin for the same, but it's using the Domain classes to get it working...   Hi all, I'm struggling with a Grails service. The service gets AJAX calls from the clients and behaves like a simple local cache for remote objects: void **someCallFromClient**() { // extract params def results = remoteService.queryService(params) results.each{ // try to fetch result object from local DB def obj = SomeClass.findBySomeField(result.someField) if (!obj){ obj = new Result(params) obj.save() } // do stuff on obj } } The service works fine when only one client is connected, but as soon as 2 or more clients start bombing the server with requests, I start getting: 2010-05-24 13:09:49,764 [30893094@qtp-26315919-2] ERROR errors.GrailsExceptionResolver - Row was updated or deleted by another transaction (or unsaved-value mapping was incorrect): [ some object #892901] org.hibernate.StaleObjectStateException: Row was updated or deleted by another transaction (or unsaved-value mapping was incorrect): [ some object #892901] // very long stactrace It probably happens when 2 calls are trying to create the same object concurrently. I suppose this is a rather typical situation to end up in. Could you recommend any pattern/good practice to fix this issue? For example, is there a way to say to one of the service instances to hang on and wait for the other to finish its stuff and try again? Cheers!

Take a look: def visitors = Client.withCriteria{ visits{ use ( TimeCategory ) {between('date',date,date+1.month-1)} } sizeGe("visits",params.from) sizeLe("visits",params.to) fetchMode("visits", FM.JOIN) }; I need only those clients, which has number of visits in month between from and to bounds. But now size* restrictions is being applied to all visits. So if client has one visit in this month, and visit in previous month. And if I set from=2, this client will be in result.   I want to store the exact country name using g:countrySelect. Example Germany instead of DEU. It is the value in the drop down menu. The drop down text is Germany but when it saves it to the database it changes back to the country code. Sorry if I am somewhat naive but I have been searching for almost 3 hours for solutions and it isn't well documented at the grails website. I could opt for any alternative even ajax. Just to have an easy way to display a list of countries and will be able to store the REAL NAME of the country NOT country code. Thank you!

This current URL "myappname://" takes the user to the initial view controller, FirstTableViewController, but I was wondering if it would be possible to modify that URL scheme so it I can have one that takes the user to a certain view controller, such as ThirdTableViewController.
