    Imagine a code: search = Project.search( :title_or_description_or_child_name_or_child_age_or_inspiration_or_decorating_style_or_favorite_item_or_others_like_any => keys, :galleries_id_like_any => @g, :styles_id_like_any => @st, :tags_like_any => @t ) search.all returns the rows correctly. But search.descend_by_views returns nil. Is this gem buggy? What else should I use then?

  • PHP page load seems to be requesting itself and misinterpreting the result

    I'm working on a messy PHP page by another developer and I was analyzing the resource view in the Webkit developer tools and noticed that the page (index.php) makes an HTTP requests for itself and then interprets the results as an image despite it being sent with the text/html header. Because of this it throws the warning: Resource interpreted as image but transferred with MIME type text/html. Looking at the time graph the call comes after the <head> because it has already requested images for the body. Sometimes there are even two 'bad' requests. Can anyone explain what might be happening and/or suggest how to fix this? Could these be related to PHP includes?

    I'm storing several versions of a file based on a digest of the original filename and its version, like this: $filename = sha1($original . ':' . $version); Would it be worth it to cache the digest ($filename) in memcache as a key/value pair (the key being the original + version and value the sha1 hash), or is generating the digest quick enough (for a high traffic php web app)? The matter is that when I write the "R" at koza(), it has the correct values, however it ends up with a empty list in my_avalia when I call it like this: my_avalia("Koza",R). My recursion might be incorrect but I don't really know what's wrong with it. Thanks in advance.

  • Android AlertDialog wait for result in calling activity

    I am trying to use an AlertDialog in my app to select the quantity of an item. The problem is that the activity that calls the AlertDialog doesn't wait for it to update the item before it adds it to the SQLite Database and change intents. At the moment, the QuantitySelector (AlertDialog) appears, then disappears straight away and changes the MealActivity class (which is just a ListView that reads from the database) through the intent change with an update to the database with quantity 0. I need the Activity to wait for the AlertDialog to close before it updates the database. What would be the correct way of implementing this?     I'm retrieving a row with php from mysql and it has fields like: name_en, name_es, name_de... I want to retrieve the right field base on my $lang variable (en, es, de...). If the $lang variable is 'es', I'd need to get $row['name_es']. I've tried this (based on this thread), but it's not working: $name = $row->{'name_'.$lang}; Any idea how can I use a variable as the name of the field of a row? Thanks in advance for your help!

    I have an ssis (2005) package that uses the web service task to download to a file destination. The file contains a string of xml data. After downloaded the file looks like this. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?> <string>--here is XML data with escaped characters--</string> My thought was I could then use the XML source data flow source to pull the <string> data, but when I set this up the XML source will not read the <string> as a column. It will generate an xsd and it seems normal, but no luck seeing the column. Any ideas on getting this to work? Or would there be a better way to pull the data within the file generated from the web service? Thanks.

  • Delphi Shell IExtractIcon usage and result

    What I do: Try to extract thumbnail using IExtractImage if that fail I try to extract icons using IExtractIcon, to get maximum iconsize, but IExtractIcon gives strange results. Problem is I tried to use a methode that extracts icons from an imagelist but if there is no large icon (256x256) it will render the smaller icon at the topleft position of the icon and that does not look good. That is why I am trying to use the IExtractIcon instead. But icons that show up as 256x256 icons in my imagelist extraction methode reports icon sizes as 33 large and 16 small. So how do I check if a large (256x256) icon exists?     I have the following object Node: private class Node implements Comparable<Node>(){ private String guid(); ... public boolean equals(Node o){ return (this == o); } public int hashCode(){ return guid.hashCode(); } ... } And I use it in the following TreeMap: TreeMap<Node, TreeSet<Edge>> nodes = new TreeMap<Node, TreeSet<Edge>>(); Now, the tree map is used in a class called Graph to store nodes currently in the graph, along with a set of their edges (from the class Edge).     Hi I've been searching for a way to do this, but could not find anything I want to have a: a disabled input text field, called #XX. This input will store the selected value from datepicker (as this input is disabled I won't be able to use this to trigger the datePicker) A button, besides #XX. When user clicks this button, datePicker will show. User will select the date, and this date will be assigned to disabled input #XX. I want this so user can't change manually -by typing crap- the selected date Also, should I validate if date was entered using #XX.val()? or is there a better way? Thanks
