  • Redirect Log output to sdcard on customer's phone

    My customers are having a problem with my app, and I have been unable to reproduce the problem on my development phone. How to debug this problem? The android Log class is great, but my customers do not know how to use 'adb' or the USB debug cable. Is there some way to redirect Log output to a file on the phone's SD card? Then the customer could easily email the log file to me. Even if this redirection requires programming on my part, I could at least distribute a 'debug' version of the app. Thanks, Tom

  • Can not make the settings from the sidebar gadget get applied

    Hey guys, OK, I am not an expert at Sidebar Gadgets, but I have this project I will have to make for school. Have tried to solve it on my own but I got really stuck. I will have to use the Cirip API (Cirip.ro being a kind of Twitter), and for the use of the API I have to input the username. I do so by means of the Settings, but when closing the settings there is no effect. Here is the code, but it's pretty messy.   • AxWindowsMediaPlayer does not play audio/video from url ?

    HI, I am using activeXMediaPlayer to play files from url but each time I pass a url to it shows the message , "either the file is corrupted or player does not support the file format u are playing." But when i run the same url on browser the file is downloaded and this downloaded file can be played on the media player. I am not able to find out what the problem is . Because the same cod plays the local file and the downloaded files but not file from url Although the same code worked few months ago for the urls So is this my fault or some server related issues can affect this thing.     While accessing the server, the error comes: Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again. I am logging in from Administrator in XP machine, able to access server from other machines. Is there any problem with administrator profile??

For general formatted debug output, though, I want to use ::NKDbgPrintfW directly and wonder if someone knows if it compiles to a nop in optimised release builds or if my own macro wrapper around it with #ifdef DEBUG is still needed?

    same as in title? I have a test server with mentioned OS and my app is .net 3.5 based. I do want to know if win 2008 r2 comes with service pack 1 for .net 3.5 from the box. And does it come with .net 3.5 sp1 family update as WELL, since after I downloaded the update, the installer says I do not have software required to update. Could some win 2008 guru perhaps explain it to me? thanks luke

    I need to validate an Irish phone number but I don't want to make it too user unfriendly, many people are used to writing there phone number with brackets wrapping their area code followed by 5 to 7 digits for their number, some add spaces between the area code or mobile operator. The format of Irish landline numbers is an area code of between 1 and 4 digits and a number of between 5 to 8 digits. e.g. (021) 9876543 (01)9876543 01 9876543 (0402)39385 I'm looking for a regular expression for Javascript/PHP.   • Where to store things like user pictures using Azure? Blob Storage?

    I have just migrated a project of mine for test cases to Microsoft's azure. But for functionalities similar to an avatar upload I need write access to the files on the harddrive. But this is a cloud, so this is not possible. How can I build such functionalities instead? Should I use the Blob Storage or is there a better solution? Does it make sense to store all website images (f.e. layout images) in the Blob Storage? So I would have a Cookie-free Domain for my static content?

However.. when I run an app on Eclipse, it still insists on opening it up in an emulator rather than my phone. How can I fix that?

  • More memory usage for IIS 6 asp.net 2.0 on webserver 2003

    Running a webserver 2003 SP2 (x86) with IIS 6 and asp.net 2. The box is running mostly dynamic asp pages connecting to a sql 2008 server. At any given time there is over 1 gig of memory available out of the 2 gig in the box. It seems like there would be a way for it to make better use of the free memory. It is using a default machine.config file and default http.sys. I would like to maximize incoming internet connections and database connections. Is there something I can do to make better use of the available memory?

    I am working on a .NET 2.0 application targetting the WM5 SDK, what is the correct way to disable the gesture functionality when running on a WM6.5.3 device that only affects the forms I am using? This is causing an issue when I have a signature capture control inside a tab control - when the signature is entered it's quite common for the tab control to switch tabs as WM6.5.3 picks it up as a gesture. I don't want to disable the gesture functionality device wide, nor can I upgrade the application to target the WM6.5.3 SDK as it still needs to work on older devices. Cheers
