    I'm trying to create hidden iframes in my page dynamically to load 3 other pages so that i can grab all the HTML and combine them into 1 in a new window. However i'm stuck at this. tHe frames are created fine. But whenever the javascript runs to the part of function openNewWindow() { var printWindow = window.open("",""); printWindow.document.open(); printWindow.document.write(HTMLfromFrames); printWindow.document.close(); } i get this error: TypeError: Result of expression 'printWindow' [undefined] is not an object. but if i generate a button to call this function seperately, it works fine. however i need it to run all in one click event Anybody has any idea what's wrong?     I made this Applescript script to create symbolic links. Appart from POSIX path of, how can I get the file name, without the path, of the dropped file? on open filelist repeat with i in filelist do shell script "ln -s " & POSIX path of i & " /Users/me/Desktop/symlink" end repeat end open PS: I know this expects many files to be dropped and tries to create many links with the same name, which gives an error. Actually I copied this example from a website and as I don't know almost anything about Applescript, I don't know how to do this for a single file, help on that would be appreciated too.

  • Does OpenCL allow concurrent writes to same memory address?

    Is two (or more) different threads allowed to write to the same memory location in global space in OpenCL? The write is always changing a uchar from 0 to 1 so the outcome should be predictable, but I'm getting erratic results in my program, so I'm wondering if the reason can be that some of the writes fail. Could it help to declare the buffer write-only and copy it to a read-only buffer afterwards?

  • Need to display my code in stack trace. I see only System... lines.

    Sometimes when I get an Exception while debugging in Visual Studio, all the code lines in the stack trace belong to the System.. name space. It doesn't display my line of code which was responsible for the exception. Is there a way to be make the stack trace show more lines or to ignore stack trace from the system namespace? Something like Just-My-Code for stack trace?

    I recently encountered an IOError writing to a file on NFS. There wasn't a disk space or permission issue, so I assume this was just a network hiccup. The obvious solution is to wrap the write in a try-except, but I was curious whether the implementation of print and write in Python make either of the following more or less likely to raise IOError: f_print = open('print.txt', 'w') print >>f_print, 'test_print' f_print.close() vs. f_write = open('write.txt', 'w') f_write.write('test_write\n') f_write.close() (If it matters, specifically in Python 2.4 on Linux).

  • What is a good metaphor for c memory management?

I've heard pass-by-reference/value talked about quite well with postal service usage, but not so much for allocation/deallocation.   • DataSet binding problem

    I've got in-memory dataset with some table defined and I populate this table in a following way: for(...) ds.Fields.AddFieldsRow(++j, 0, heading, "Char", "", "", "Input", 0, "","",""); On the GUI I've got DataGridView bound to that table inside TabControl (bound through BindingSource). Very strange thing is happening: if I open tab pane with this grid and populate table with some data then I see changes in grid. On the other side if I'm at other tab, populate table, and then switch to tab with grid I've got following exception: "DataMember property 'Fields' cannot be found on the DataSource". In similar way I've got 2 tab panes with grid in each that are bound to the same datatable using different datasources and I open one of them, populate, see the changes, then switch to second tab and get crash. What am I missing?

    Update/Note: I think what I'm probably looking for is to get the captures of a group in PHP. Referenced: PCRE regular expressions using named pattern subroutines. (Read carefully:) I have a string that contains a variable number of segments (simplified): $subject = 'AA BB DD '; // could be 'AA BB DD CC EE ' as well I would like now to match the segments and return them via the matches array: $pattern = '/^(([a-z]+) )+$/i'; $result = preg_match_all($pattern, $subject, $matches); This will only return the last match for the capture group 2: DD. Is there a way that I can retrieve all subpattern captures (AA, BB, DD) with one regex execution? Isn't preg_match_all suitable for this? This question is a generalization. Both the $subject and $pattern are simplified. Naturally with such the general list of AA, BB, .. is much more easy to extract with other functions (e.g. explode) or with a variation of the $pattern. But I'm specifically asking how to return all of the subgroup matches with the preg_...-family of functions. For a real life case imagine you have multiple (nested) level of a variant amount of subpattern matches. Example This is an example in pseudo code to describe a bit of the background. Imagine the following: Regular definitions of tokens: CHARS := [a-z]+ PUNCT := [.,!?] WS := [ ] $subject get's tokenized based on these. The tokenization is stored inside an array of tokens (type, offset, ...). That array is then transformed into a string, containing one character per token: CHARS -> "c" PUNCT -> "p" WS -> "s" So that it's now possible to run regular expressions based on tokens (and not character classes etc.) on the token stream string index. E.g. regex: (cs)?cp to express one or more group of chars followed by a punctuation. As I now can express self-defined tokens as regex, the next step was to build the grammar. This is only an example, this is sort of ABNF style: words = word | (word space)+ word word = CHARS+ space = WS punctuation = PUNCT If I now compile the grammar for words into a (token) regex I would like to have naturally all subgroup matches of each word. words = (CHARS+) | ( (CHARS+) WS )+ (CHARS+) # words resolved to tokens words = (c+)|((c+)s)+c+ # words resolved to regex I could code until this point. Then I ran into the problem that the sub-group matches did only contain their last match. So I have the option to either create an automata for the grammar on my own (which I would like to prevent to keep the grammar expressions generic) or to somewhat make preg_match working for me somehow so I can spare that.     Hi This is pretty hard to explain but i'll give it a shot. Working with Safari to create an extension as is now possible with Safari 5 - how would I go about getting the URL of the current page with using JavaScript and the Safari API? I would also like to be able to get a hyperlink that is selected. For instance in Safari when you right click on a hyperlink and it says open in a new tab, open in a window etc - clicking opens that hyperlink. What part of the API is used to get access to the link itself, and how does it know its a link in the first place? I hope thats clear enough. Thanks

  • Alternative way to notify the user of an error

    I have a winform software that communicates with hardware through a protocol. Sometimes error in communication happens and i would like to notify the user. Errors could be for example: timeouts, crc errors, physical disconnection etc... I have a communication window in which i show these errors, but by default this is hidden. The user can open it though the menubar. Popups are annoying to the user (and to myself) so i would like a un-invasive way to notify the user that an error has occurred. Perhaps a info bubble like when XP tells you updates are ready for your computer? I know that NotifyIcon can help put things in the system tray, which i do not wish to have. I'd rather keep it within my MDI. I'm open to other creative ideas as well.

  • R.java doesn't exist...but it does! Problem started after installing ADT 10.0.0

    I get this error when I try to clean a project: ERROR: Unable to open class file ....R.java: No such file or directory So I can't build my projects any more. But R.java is there in the gen folder and looks fine when I open it. This happens to every one of my projects. I tried completely deleting the Eclipse folder and reinstalling it (Helios on Windows) and Android ADT. No luck. I have also tried moving my workspace to a different drive. No luck. I made sure all folders in my workspace are not read only. This worked the first time, but immediately the error came back when I cleaned my project. This all started right after installing ADT 10.0. I am wondering if it somehow is building R.java as a read-only file. EDIT: Is deleting the eclipse directory sufficient to reset all of its configuration?

    Hi I am trying to create some code that first reads the existing contents of the file in and then adds the new line of code on a new line but the code i am using just adds it on the new text on to the already existing line instead of the new line... But the distribution doesn't by default come with the C development environment and I am facing some issues when trying to install the gcc. Is there any other small Linux distribution which by default has the required packages for the C development.   • Any way to reserve but not commit memory in linux?

    Windows has VirtualAlloc, which allows you to reserve a contiguous region of address space, but not actually use any physical memory. Later when you want to use it (or part of it) you call VirtualAlloc again to commit the region of previously reserved pages. This is actually really useful, but I want to eventually port my application to linux - so I don't want to use it if I can't port it later. Does linux have a way to do this?

  • Debugging PHP in Aptana 2.0

    I'm a real newbie when it comes to PHP debugging so forgive my stupidity. I have a simple html form that submits to a PHP script and I want to debug that script and see what's being sent from the form. My Aptana has two two PHP interpreters installed; Zend Debugger on port 10001 and XDebug on 9000 I have the Firefox Aptana Addon installed I have my HTML page on the following url, running locally; http://3i/latest.html In the IDE I open the PHP script and add some breakpoints, I then open the latest.html and I click on the debug button. It launches the HTML page in a local webserver running at; http://127.0.0.1:8000/3i/latest.html I then fill out the form and submit at which point the debugger tells me the JS Debugger has terminated but it doesn't stop at my break points. I've had a good read around and I can't find anything which helps me, which makes me think it's something pretty easy and I'm being a bit dumb.
