    I'm getting an output data file of a program which looks like this, with more than one line for each time step: 0.0000E+00 0.0000E+00 0.0000E+00 0.0000E+00 0.0000E+00 0.0000E+00 0.0000E+00 0.0000E+00 0.0000E+00 0.0000E+00 7.9819E-06 1.7724E-02 2.3383E-02 3.0048E-02 3.8603E-02 4.9581E-02 5.6635E-02 4.9991E-02 3.9052E-02 3.0399E-02 ....     I have a combo box with a row source based on an SQL query about like SELECT DISTINCT Database_New.ASEC FROM Database_New WHERE Database_New.Date= DateSerial([cboYear], 1, 1) And Database_New.Date<= DateSerial([cboYear], 12, 31); the trouble is that if I change the value of cboYear, the values in the drop down cboASEC do not update. I have to open the query, save it and close it to get the thing to update while I have the form open. Is there a way to get the cboASEC to update somehow? maybe a little tidbit of code in the cboYear - afterupdate?

    I'm creating a custom keyboard layout. The SDK allows changing the width of keys in a row (as in ThickButtons), but ideally I'd like to be able to vary both the height and width of keys within a row (and still have the keys occupy all the available space.) Another way of looking at this is that I want to allow some keys to be in more than one contiguous row. Any ideas would help. Thank you.

It does print the correct value that's in cell B3 to the console. When closing it asks if I want to replace the existing file. I click yes. When I open the spreadsheet in Excel, the value is still in cell B3 despite the cell.ClearContents(). Any thoughts?

That is the first time i am writing a script in Ubuntu, Can you tell me what am i doing wrong ? Is it possible for Linux to identify the gid from the ID command ? if not what is the alternative option? Can someone please advise ?

    for a school project I am trying to make an android application that, once started, will perform a spectrum analysis of live audio received from the microphone or a bluetooth headset. I know I should be using FFT, and have been looking at moonblink's open source audio analyzer ( http://code.google.com/p/moonblink/wiki/Audalyzer ) but am not familiar with android development, and his code is turning out to be too difficult for me to work with. So I suppose my questions are, are there any easier java based, or open source android apps that do spectrum analysis I can reference? Or is there any helpful information that can be given, such as; steps that need be taken to get the microphone input, put it into an fft algorithm, then display a graph of frequency and pitch over time from its output? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    I want to open a word document and edit it I am opening the word document from the server and at that time it's opening with garbage values (perhaps it's not being properly converted to UTF-8). When I delete those garbage values and insert something from a textarea to that file it is going to insert and from then on it opens properly.     I usually see Ruby on Rails books using script/generate model Story name:string link:string which is a singular Story, while when it is controller script/generate controller Stories index then the Story now is Stories, which is plural. Is this a standard on Ruby on Rails? Is it true in other MVC frameworks too, like CakePHP, Symfony, Django, or TurboGears? I see that in the book Rails Space, the controller is also called User, which is the same as the model name, and it is the only exception I see.

    Hi, First of all it is a UI design question! Which is the best design practice for edit data in RIA, for example in Flex or Silverlight? I would like to show customer's details, but there will be an edit window, than the datas of customer will be editable. I would like to show a new form where the data can be edited. What is the simplest way to show this form. I can make my ui tabbed, so I can open the form in a new tab, or I can open the form in a popup/modal dialog (Save-cancel). Maybe I can use in line editing. What is the most user friendly solution in a Silverlight or Flex GUI? What is your opinion? Thanks!

  • How do you get the File:// protocol to work in IE8?

    I am running a website on my local machine ("http://localhost/asdf") and trying to get some file:// protocol links to work. In reality I'm trying to open a folder, not a specific file, but I can't get either to work. I've put localhost in my "trusted zone", I've tried every combo of "file" ,":", some number of "/" and then a whole bunch of different paths, but encoded and not encoded. Nothing I do causes anything to open when I click on the link. If I copy the link destination, and paste that in the browser address window, then it works as expected. Anyone know the secret?

I tried the "Add existing framework" method - but cannot find the file in folder "Frameworks". Am I looking in the wrong place? Wrong filename? Wrong space/time continuum? I also did a search for the file - to no avail. Not in /System/Library/Frameworks/ Do I have to download it?

    Say I have a text area, user enters information exactly like styled below: Ice cream Chocolate then submits this information, I want to retrieve the information EXACTLY like so: Ice cream, Chocolate Is this the best way to do it: $arr = explode("\n", $var); $arr = implode(",", $arr); When doing it like this, it puts the information out like so: Ice cream , Chocolate Note the space after cream, will a simple trim() fix this?
