  • Adding a transparent bitmap to a windows button

    It's a while since I've done this, but I'm trying to add a custom button graphic to a windows button, with some transparent areas. I've tried various schemes but can't seem to get the transparent areas to show. Here's my code: hbmpUpDisabled = LoadImage(instance,MAKEINTRESOURCE(IDB_UPARROWDISABLED), IMAGE_BITMAP, 0, 0, LR_DEFAULTSIZE | LR_LOADTRANSPARENT | LR_LOADMAP3DCOLORS ); SendMessage(GetDlgItem(hWndDlg, IDC_MOVEUP),BM_SETIMAGE,(WPARAM)IMAGE_BITMAP,(LPARAM)hbmpUpDisabled); Does anyone notice any problems here? It works if my bitmap is a 1-bit bitmap. I couldn't get a 32 bit bitmap to work, and I'm not sure how to setup a 24 bit or 8 bit bitmap to do it.... I tried a custom 255,0,255 color (which IIRC is a default transparent value), but so far no joy....

    I'm trying to add a behaviors element to my client config file so I can specify maxItemsInObjectGraph. The error I get is: The element 'system.serviceModel' has invalid child element 'behaviors'. List of possible elements expected: 'bindings, client, extensions'. I have an assignment that says that i am to create a class called Persons and in that class set the values from the text fields in variables and add this to a list of type Person. So far: in the Person class: string strSocialSecurityNumber = string.Empty;//---( This will not be used now.) string strFirstName = string.Empty; string strLastName = string.Empty; string strFullName = string.Empty; string strAge = string.Empty; string strAll = string.Empty; int intAge = 0; List<Person> lstPerson = new List<Person>(); public void SetValues(string FirstName, string LastName, int Age) { strFirstName = FirstName; strLastName = LastName; strFullName = strFirstName + " " + strLastName; intAge = Age; strAge = Convert.ToString(intAge); strAll = strAge + " " + strFullName; } public List<Person> Person() { lstPerson.Add(strAll); return lstPerson; } Error message: "can not convert from string to Person" The assignment says that the list is to be of the type Person so i am suppose to add strings to it and ive looked how to do this but I dont know how. I have seen that there are options like "ConvertAll" But im not sure if I am allowed to use it since the list should be of type Person. Thank you!

    I'd like an image to take up all of a navigation bar. This is the navigation that comes with a navigation based app. It appears on the RootViewController with the accompanying UITableView. I've seen some examples of how this might work. Set navigation bar title: UIImage *image = [UIImage imageNamed:@"TableviewCellLightBlue.png"]; UIImageView *imageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:image]; [self.navigationController.navigationBar.topItem setTitleView:imageView]; The problem there is it only covers the title rather than the entire navigation bar. There is also this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=9254241#9254241. Towards the end, the solution looks to use a tab bar, which I'm not using. It is that complicated to set a navigation bar background? Is there some other simpler technique? I'd like to have a background for the navigation and still be able to use title text.

    Hi all, In Mac, in skype when we add users to an existing chat, by clicking '+' button on top, a beak like window appears carrying a token field like control. When an user types some name in it and a match is found then a list appears carrying user icon , status icon and his/her name. Also the width of dynamic list is same as beak window.     I have a Profile model/controller in my cake app as well as an index.ctp view in /views/profiles. Now, when I go to add a column to my table that is already filled with data, and then add the corresponding code to the view to pick up this column's data, it just gives me an empty result.   • SQL Server adding a record record manually to a view

    I have a view which contains the data seen in the image below. The view is showing me how many working days are available in each month for the current financial year taking away any school/bank holidays. As the month of August has zero days available it has excluded this month from the view. As the total number of days available will always be zero for the month of August, then it seems acceptable to hardcode the SQL to always have 0 for August, and also an April-August record which will be the same as April-July.   • Adding a search box to a windows forms web browser control that highlights text

    I have a windows forms (using c#) application. It displays a webpage and has a textbox/botton combination which can be used to search for text displayed to the user. Currently I search the inner text of all elements for the text in the textbox. And then I weed out the elements that are redundant (for example a word could be in a 'p' and 'b' element where the 'b' is a child element of 'p' so the element returned should be 'b'). Finally I run the ScrollIntoView(true) method on the found element. I'd now like to add a function that highlights the text (like if you search for a term in a real webbrowser). My first thought was to just inject html and or javascript code around the text but that seems like a messy solution. Any ideas on how I should do this? Thanks for your help!

    I have created a custom PhpBB3 style and desperately since a few hours tried to add a background image to a specific comment text area. With firebug I checked if the comment text area had a class and it does, so I tried some css variations and finally tried: sn-inputComment { background: url("{T_THEME_PATH}/images/pencil.png") repeat-x left top #FFFFFF;} { I also tried to find and manipulate the php generated text area but no success. Non of my methods worked. I will provide you all with a tinylink url to my forum with a test user and password access. I understand that I could do this all in jQuery and add the styles in there, but would rather leave the native :hover in the CSS. I'm just wondering if there is a way for this to work: $("#div1").live("mouseenter", function() { $("#div2").trigger("mouseenter"); }); I'd like to call it by doing something like this, but it isn't working. So im using cache to hold the selectteditem from the dropdownlist. Problem: The process is going fine. But if i try to refresh the page no items are selected in the dropdown list but the cache is not getting clear so using this cache value dynamic control are creating.
