    I am using Excel interop object and trying to find a date in a specified range by below method Excel.Range rngFind = WS.get_Range(strFromRange, strToRange).Find(strFind, Type.Missing, Excel.XlFindLookIn.xlFormulas, Excel.XlLookAt.xlPart, Excel.XlSearchOrder.xlByRows, Excel.XlSearchDirection.xlNext, false, false, false); but i get rngFind as null always my strFind = "Sep-08" i tried with both Excel.XlFindLookIn.xlFormulas and Excel.XlFindLookIn.xlValues my excel file looks like this Sep-08 Oct-08 Nov-08 Dec-08 Jan-09 Feb-09 Mar-09 Apr-09 May-09 Jun-09 Jul-09 where as wheni click on Sep-08 cell i get 9/1/2008 in the formula field in Excel i have also tried searching for 9/1/2008 but it varies system by system as per the RegionalSettings Date format... Please help me. basically i am doing to get the cell address of the finding string

  • Strategy in exporting to Excel with formatting from ASP.NET?

    So this is another exporting to Excel question. I have a page that has a table with formatting by stylesheet. When I export the page by setting the ContentType to application/excel and Content-Disposition to attachment, I can export the table to Excel (not CSV). However, it loses all formatting. I think it's because Excel does not load CSS and I guess that's reasonable. So, in a scenario where I have to show the table on the web and also export to Excel, both with similar (even if not exact) formatting, what would be the best approach without using something like NPOI? I am trying to minimize the work and keep the single template if possible. Is it necessary for me to create two separate templates: one with stylesheet, the other with embedded style in the table itself for Excel? Having a single template with conditional formatting inside would be very messy. Any ideas?

  • Redimming arrays in VBA

    I have 3 arrays of data, that are filled by reading off of an excel sheet, some of the points of data are missing and as such have just been entered into excel as "NA" so I want to look through my array and find each instance of these NA's and remove them from the array since the information is useless. I need to update all three arrays at the same time. My toolbar is initializing at the workbook load up event. I noticed that the image is loading to the toolbar button, but in a fraction of second it disappears and only item text is displayed. My image is 16x16 pixel bmp one. Any help appreciate to get around this problem Thank you

    I have a Excel Workbook that I use as a report template. I change the datasource on each pivot and datatable in a C# app. When I change the datatable datasource it tweeks the columns. It never occurs on ActiveCell.Validation.Delete which I find weird? I have been all over google trying to find a solution, and most suggest that it is caused by running dynamic validation code from a button which hogs focus despite the Activate call, but I am running on sheet change event rather than on button press so I don't think this is my issue - any ideas? I've wasted basically a whole day on this! :(

It does print the correct value that's in cell B3 to the console. When closing it asks if I want to replace the existing file. I click yes. When I open the spreadsheet in Excel, the value is still in cell B3 despite the cell.ClearContents(). Any thoughts?

    I have some "clever" users who have written an excel spreadsheet that automates some of their tasks on our intranet/timesheet. It seems as if the instance of Internet Explorer that is created is not doing everything I expect a browser to do, e.g. set cookies. Is there a way to detect if a user is hitting a web site with a VBA com object instance of Internet Explorer? I can't keep users from building creative solutions but I want to be able to handle them. thanks

Applying lock on the rectangle locks the object as well as the text. Does anyone know how I can achieve this?

To avoid confusion, I don't mean the "Cell" commandbar menu, but the second floating toolbar with formatting buttons. e.g. is it possible to add a Styles dropdown, or have any other text alignment option than centre?
