  • Problem simulating HTTP POST using HttpClient

    - by user560904
    I am trying to programatically send a HTTP Post request using HttpClient to http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/en/s/planjourney/query but it is not liking the request I send it. I copied the headers and body from what Chrome browser sends so it is identical but it doesn't like what I send as the HTML mentions there's an error. <div class="padding"> <h1 class="sifr"><strong>Sorry</strong>, something went wrong</h1> <div class="error-message"> <div class="error-message-padding"> <h2>There is a problem with the page you are trying to access.</h2> <p>It is possible that it was either moved, it doesn't exist or we are experiencing some technical difficulties.</p> <p>We are sorry for the inconvenience.</p> </div> </div> </div> Here is my Java program which uses HttpClient: package com.tixsnif; import org.apache.http.*; import org.apache.http.client.HttpClient; import org.apache.http.client.entity.UrlEncodedFormEntity; import org.apache.http.client.methods.HttpPost; import org.apache.http.impl.client.DefaultHttpClient; import org.apache.http.message.BasicNameValuePair; import org.apache.http.protocol.HTTP; import java.io.*; import java.util.*; import java.util.zip.GZIPInputStream; public class WebScrapingTesting { public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception { String target = "http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/en/s/planjourney/query"; HttpClient client = new DefaultHttpClient(); HttpPost httpPost = new HttpPost(target); BasicNameValuePair[] params = { new BasicNameValuePair("jpState", "single"), new BasicNameValuePair("commandName", "journeyPlannerCommand"), new BasicNameValuePair("from.searchTerm", "Basingstoke"), new BasicNameValuePair("to.searchTerm", "Reading"), new BasicNameValuePair("timeOfOutwardJourney.arrivalOrDeparture", "DEPART"), new BasicNameValuePair("timeOfOutwardJourney.monthDay", "Today"), new BasicNameValuePair("timeOfOutwardJourney.hour", "10"), new BasicNameValuePair("timeOfOutwardJourney.minute", "15"), new BasicNameValuePair("timeOfReturnJourney.arrivalOrDeparture", "DEPART"), new BasicNameValuePair("timeOfReturnJourney.monthDay", "Today"), new BasicNameValuePair("timeOfReturnJourney.hour", "18"), new BasicNameValuePair("timeOfReturnJourney.minute", "15"), new BasicNameValuePair("_includeOvertakenTrains", "on"), new BasicNameValuePair("viaMode", "VIA"), new BasicNameValuePair("via.searchTerm", "Station name / code"), new BasicNameValuePair("offSetOption", "0"), new BasicNameValuePair("_reduceTransfers", "on"), new BasicNameValuePair("operatorMode", "SHOW"), new BasicNameValuePair("operator.code", ""), new BasicNameValuePair("_lookForSleeper", "on"), new BasicNameValuePair("_directTrains", "on")}; httpPost.setHeader("Host", "ojp.nationalrail.co.uk"); httpPost.setHeader("User-Agent", "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_4; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.10 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/8.0.552.231 Safari/534.10"); httpPost.setHeader("Accept-Encoding", "gzip,deflate,sdch"); httpPost.setHeader("Accept", "text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,**/*//*;q=0.8"); httpPost.setHeader("Accept-Language", "en-us,en;q=0.8"); httpPost.setHeader("Accept-Charset", "ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7"); httpPost.setHeader("Origin", "http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/"); httpPost.setHeader("Referer", "http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/"); httpPost.setHeader("Content-Type", "application/x-www-form-urlencoded"); httpPost.setHeader("Cookie", "JSESSIONID=B2A3419B79C5D999CA4806B459675CCD.app201; Path=/"); UrlEncodedFormEntity urlEncodedFormEntity = new UrlEncodedFormEntity(Arrays.asList(params)); urlEncodedFormEntity.setContentEncoding(HTTP.UTF_8); httpPost.setEntity(urlEncodedFormEntity); HttpResponse response = client.execute(httpPost); InputStream input = response.getEntity().getContent(); GZIPInputStream gzip = new GZIPInputStream(input); InputStreamReader isr = new InputStreamReader(gzip); BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(isr); String line = null; while((line = br.readLine()) != null) { System.out.printf("\n%s", line); } client.getConnectionManager().shutdown(); } } I keep the JSESSION ID updated if it expires but there seems to be another problem that I cannot see. • Dependency Properties and Data Context in Silverlight 3

    - by Noam
    Hello, I am working with Silverlight 3 beta, and am having an issue. I have a page that has a user control that I worte on it. The user control has a dependency property on it. If the user control does not define a data context (hence using the parent's data context), all works well. But if the user control has its own data context, the dependency property's OnPropertyChanged method never gets called. Here is a sample: My Main Page: <UserControl x:Class="TestDepProp.MainPage" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:app="clr-namespace:TestDepProp" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Width="400" Height="100"> <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" Background="White"> <Border BorderBrush="Blue" BorderThickness="3" CornerRadius="3"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <StackPanel Orientation="Vertical"> <TextBlock Text="Enter text here:" /> <TextBox x:Name="entryBlock" Text="{Binding Data, Mode=TwoWay}"/> <Button Content="Go!" Click="Button_Click" /> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Data}" /> </StackPanel> <Border BorderBrush="Blue" BorderThickness="3" CornerRadius="3" Margin="5"> <app:TestControl PropOnControl="{Binding Data}" /> </Border> </StackPanel> </Border> </Grid> </UserControl> Main Page code: using System.Windows; using System.Windows.Controls; namespace TestDepProp { public partial class MainPage : UserControl { public MainPage() { InitializeComponent(); MainPageData data = new MainPageData(); this.DataContext = data; } private void Button_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { int i = 1; i++; } } } Main Page's data context: using System.ComponentModel; namespace TestDepProp { public class MainPageData:INotifyPropertyChanged { string _data; public string Data { get { return _data; } set { _data = value; if (PropertyChanged != null) PropertyChanged(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs("Data")); } } public MainPageData() { Data = "Initial Value"; } #region INotifyPropertyChanged Members public event PropertyChangedEventHandler PropertyChanged; #endregion } } Control XAML: <UserControl x:Class="TestDepProp.TestControl" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:app="clr-namespace:TestDepProp" > <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" Background="White"> <StackPanel Orientation="Vertical" Margin="10" > <TextBlock Text="This should change:" /> <TextBlock x:Name="ControlValue" Text="Not Set" /> </StackPanel> </Grid> </UserControl> Contol code: using System.Windows; using System.Windows.Controls; namespace TestDepProp { public partial class TestControl : UserControl { public TestControl() { InitializeComponent(); // Comment out next line for DP to work DataContext = new MyDataContext(); } #region PropOnControl Dependency Property public string PropOnControl { get { return (string)GetValue(PropOnControlProperty); } set { SetValue(PropOnControlProperty, value); } } public static readonly DependencyProperty PropOnControlProperty = DependencyProperty.Register("PropOnControl", typeof(string), typeof(TestControl), new PropertyMetadata(OnPropOnControlPropertyChanged)); private static void OnPropOnControlPropertyChanged(DependencyObject d, DependencyPropertyChangedEventArgs e) { TestControl _TestControl = d as TestControl; if (_TestControl != null) { _TestControl.ControlValue.Text = e.NewValue.ToString(); } } #endregion PropOnControl Dependency Property } } Control's data context: using System.ComponentModel; namespace TestDepProp { public class MyDataContext : INotifyPropertyChanged { #region INotifyPropertyChanged Members public event PropertyChangedEventHandler PropertyChanged; #endregion } } To try it out, type something in the text box, and hit the Go button. Comment out the data context in the controls code to see that it starts to work. Hope someone has an idea as to what is going on.

  • jQuery Bounce ignores positioning

    - by ashansky
    I'm having a problem trying to use the jQuery effect "bounce" on an absolutely position div inside of a relatively positioned div. The #Bounce div is positioned to be slightly above the container div and when a certain message is received it is supposed to bounce on top of it. But what ends up happening is that the #bounce div drops down into the container div and bounces inside of it till it stops and then correctly repositions itself on top of the container div. This same code is working in Firefox but doesn't seem to be working in Webkit or IE. Can anyone help me understand why this is happening? if (jQuery("#Bounce").data("bouncing") == false || jQuery("#Bounce").data("bouncing") == undefined) { jQuery("#Bounce").show().effect("bounce",{times:10,distance:50},300,function(){jQuery("#Bounce").data("bouncing", false);}); jQuery("#Bounce").data("bouncing", true); } <div id="Container" style="height: 28px; float: right; position: relative; top: 2px; cursor: pointer; padding-top: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 3px; "> ... <div id="Bounce" style="bottom: 28px; right: 0px; height: 26px; width: 26px; z-index: 989; display: none; position: absolute; ">...</div> </div>

  • Problems with Android Fragment back stack

    - by DexterMoon
    I've got a massive problem with the way the android fragment backstack seems to work and would be most grateful for any help that is offered. Imagine you have 3 Fragments [1] [2] [3] I want the user to be able to navigate [1] > [2] > [3] but on the way back (pressing back button) [3] > [1]. As I would have imagined this would be accomplished by not calling addToBackStack(..) when creating the transaction that brings fragment [2] into the fragment holder defined in XML. The reality of this seems as though that if I dont want [2] to appear again when user presses back button on [3], I must not call addToBackStack in the transaction that shows fragment [3]. This seems completely counter-intuitive (perhaps coming from the iOS world). Anyway if i do it this way, when I go from [1] > [2] and press back I arrive back at [1] as expected. If I go [1] > [2] > [3] and then press back I jump back to [1] (as expected). Now the strange behavior happens when I try and jump to [2] again from [1]. First of all [3] is briefly displayed before [2] comes into view. If I press back at this point [3] is displayed, and if I press back once again the app exits. Can anyone help me to understand whats going on here? And here is the layout xml file for my main activity: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:orientation="vertical" > <fragment android:id="@+id/headerFragment" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" class="com.fragment_test.FragmentControls" > <!-- Preview: layout=@layout/details --> </fragment> <FrameLayout android:id="@+id/detailFragment" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" /> Update This is the code I'm using to build by nav heirarchy Fragment frag; FragmentTransaction transaction; //Create The first fragment [1], add it to the view, BUT Dont add the transaction to the backstack frag = new Fragment1(); transaction = getSupportFragmentManager().beginTransaction(); transaction.replace(R.id.detailFragment, frag); transaction.commit(); //Create the second [2] fragment, add it to the view and add the transaction that replaces the first fragment to the backstack frag = new Fragment2(); transaction = getSupportFragmentManager().beginTransaction(); transaction.replace(R.id.detailFragment, frag); transaction.addToBackStack(null); transaction.commit(); //Create third fragment frag = new Fragment3(); transaction = getSupportFragmentManager().beginTransaction(); transaction.replace(R.id.detailFragment, frag); transaction.commit(); //END OF SETUP CODE------------------------- //NOW: //Press back once and then issue the following code: frag = new Fragment2(); transaction = getSupportFragmentManager().beginTransaction(); transaction.replace(R.id.detailFragment, frag); transaction.addToBackStack(null); transaction.commit(); //Now press back again and you end up at fragment [3] not [1] Many thanks

  • Returning ifstream in a function

    - by wrongusername
    Here's probably a very noobish question for you: How (if at all possible) can I return an ifstream from a function? Basically, I need to obtain the filename of a database from the user, and if the database with that filename does not exist, then I need to create that file for the user. I know how to do that, but only by asking the user to restart the program after creating the file. I wanted to avoid that inconvenience for the user if possible, but the function below does not compile in gcc: ifstream getFile() { string fileName; cout << "Please enter in the name of the file you'd like to open: "; cin >> fileName; ifstream first(fileName.c_str()); if(first.fail()) { cout << "File " << fileName << " not found.\n"; first.close(); ofstream second(fileName.c_str()); cout << "File created.\n"; second.close(); ifstream third(fileName.c_str()); return third; //compiler error here } else return first; } EDIT: sorry, forgot to tell you where and what the compiler error was: main.cpp:45: note: synthesized method ‘std::basic_ifstream<char, std::char_traits<char> >::basic_ifstream(const std::basic_ifstream<char, std::char_traits<char> >&)’ first required here EDIT: I changed the function to return a pointer instead as Remus suggested, and changed the line in main() to "ifstream database = *getFile()"; now I get this error again, but this time in the line in main(): main.cpp:27: note: synthesized method ‘std::basic_ifstream<char, std::char_traits<char> >::basic_ifstream(const std::basic_ifstream<char, std::char_traits<char> >&)’ first required here

  • JNI problem when calling a native library that loads another native library

    - by TheEnemyOfQuality
    I've got a bit of an odd problem. I have a project in C++ that's basically a wrapper for a third party DLL like this: MyLibrary --loads DLL_A ----loads DLL_B I load DLL_A with LoadLibrary(), wrap several of its functions and generate my own DLL. I've tested this in a C++ project and a C# project. Both do everything they're supposed to do: load DLL_A, make a couple of function calls, and indirectly load DLL_B. The problem is when I build a DLL for java and make the calls through JNI. Everything runs like it should (no java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError), but when it comes time for DLL_A to load DLL_B it doesn't work. From debugging, the loading of DLL_B happens on a function call in DLL_A that takes a callback. When called from Java, this function call seems to fail (the function pointer is fine and the actual call goes off without a hitch), and I get an odd pop-up window saying DLL_B failed to load, and my program is left waiting for a callback that never happens. I can explicitly load DLL_B just fine (both from Java and from C++) and I've checked every possible path, path variable, and tried placing the dlls everywhere to see if it could be looking somewhere funny. I'm pretty sure it's not a path problem. Ultimately I don't know how DLL_A is loading DLL_B and I can't figure out why everything works fine in C++ and C#, but not in Java. I'm absolutely flummoxed. It could still be something specific to my setup (although I've looked as hard as I can look), but I'm throwing this scenario out there to see if anyone has run into a similar problem. -Dave

  • Nested dereferencing arrows in Perl: to omit or not to omit?

    - by DVK
    In Perl, when you have a nested data structure, it is permissible to omit de-referencing arrows to 2d and more level of nesting. In other words, the following two syntaxes are identical: my $hash_ref = { 1 => [ 11, 12, 13 ], 3 => [31, 32] }; my $elem1 = $hash_ref->{1}->[1]; my $elem2 = $hash_ref->{1}[1]; # exactly the same as above Now, my question is, is there a good reason to choose one style over the other? It seems to be a popular bone of stylistic contention (Just on SO, I accidentally bumped into this and this in the space of 5 minutes). So far, none of the usual suspects says anything definitive: perldoc merely says "you are free to omit the pointer dereferencing arrow". Conway's "Perl Best Practices" says "whenever possible, dereference with arrows", but it appears to only apply to the context of dereferencing the main reference, not optional arrows on 2d level of nested data structures. "MAstering Perl for Bioinfirmatics" author James Tisdall doesn't give very solid preference either: "The sharp-witted reader may have noticed that we seem to be omitting arrow operators between array subscripts. (After all, these are anonymous arrays of anonymous arrays of anonymous arrays, etc., so shouldn't they be written [$array-[$i]-[$j]-[$k]?) Perl allows this; only the arrow operator between the variable name and the first array subscript is required. It make things easier on the eyes and helps avoid carpal tunnel syndrome. On the other hand, you may prefer to keep the dereferencing arrows in place, to make it clear you are dealing with references. Your choice." Personally, i'm on the side of "always put arrows in, since itg's more readable and obvious tiy're dealing with a reference".

  • KeepAliveException when using HttpWebRequest.GetResponse

    - by Lucas
    I am trying to POST an attachment to CouchDB using the HttpWebRequest. However, when I attempt "response = (HttpWebResponse)httpWebRequest.GetResponse();" I receive a WebException with the message "The underlying connection was closed: A connection that was expected to be kept alive was closed by the server." I have found some articles stating that setting the keepalive to false and httpversion to 1.0 resolves the situation. I am finding that it does not yeilding the exact same error, plus I do not want to take that approach as I do not want to use the 1.0 version due to how it handles the connection. Any suggestions or ideas are welcome. I'll try them all until one works! public ServerResponse PostAttachment(Server server, Database db, Attachment attachment) { Stream dataStream; HttpWebResponse response = null; StreamReader sr = null; byte[] buffer; string json; string boundary = "----------------------------" + DateTime.Now.Ticks.ToString("x"); string headerTemplate = "Content-Disposition: form-data; name=\"_attachments\"; filename=\"" + attachment.Filename + "\"\r\n Content-Type: application/octet-stream\r\n\r\n"; byte[] headerbytes = System.Text.Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(headerTemplate); byte[] boundarybytes = System.Text.Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes("\r\n--" + boundary + "\r\n"); HttpWebRequest httpWebRequest = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create("http://" + server.Host + ":" + server.Port.ToString() + "/" + db.Name + "/" + attachment.Document.Id); httpWebRequest.ContentType = "multipart/form-data; boundary=" + boundary; httpWebRequest.Method = "POST"; httpWebRequest.KeepAlive = true; httpWebRequest.ContentLength = attachment.Stream.Length + headerbytes.Length + boundarybytes.Length; if (!string.IsNullOrEmpty(server.EncodedCredentials)) httpWebRequest.Headers.Add("Authorization", server.EncodedCredentials); if (!attachment.Stream.CanRead) throw new System.NotSupportedException("The stream cannot be read."); // Get the request stream try { dataStream = httpWebRequest.GetRequestStream(); } catch (Exception e) { throw new WebException("Failed to get the request stream.", e); } buffer = new byte[server.BufferSize]; int bytesRead; dataStream.Write(headerbytes,0,headerbytes.Length); attachment.Stream.Position = 0; while ((bytesRead = attachment.Stream.Read(buffer, 0, buffer.Length)) > 0) { dataStream.Write(buffer, 0, bytesRead); } dataStream.Write(boundarybytes, 0, boundarybytes.Length); dataStream.Close(); // send the request and get the response try { response = (HttpWebResponse)httpWebRequest.GetResponse(); } catch (Exception e) { throw new WebException("Invalid response received from server.", e); } // get the server's response json try { dataStream = response.GetResponseStream(); sr = new StreamReader(dataStream); json = sr.ReadToEnd(); } catch (Exception e) { throw new WebException("Failed to access the response stream.", e); } // close up all our streams and response sr.Close(); dataStream.Close(); response.Close(); // Deserialize the server response return ConvertTo.JsonToServerResponse(json); }

  • Shellcode for a simple stack overflow: Exploited program with shell terminates directly after execve

    - by henning
    Hi, I played around with buffer overflows on Linux (amd64) and tried exploiting a simple program, but it failed. I disabled the security features (address space layout randomization with sysctl -w kernel.randomize_va_space=0 and nx bit in the bios). It jumps to the stack and executes the shellcode, but it doesn't start a shell. The execve syscall succeeds but afterwards it just terminates. Any idea what's wrong? Running the shellcode standalone works just fine. Bonus question: Why do I need to set rax to zero before calling printf? My listener list.setOnItemClickListener(new OnItemClickListener() { public void onItemClick(AdapterView<?> arg0, View arg1, int arg2,long arg3) { //create new intent Intent item = new Intent(getApplicationContext(), Item.class); // Close all views before launching logged //item.putExtra("name", ((TextView)arg1).getText()); //item.putExtra("uid", user_id); item.addFlags(Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_CLEAR_TOP); startActivity(item); // Close Login Screen onPause(); } }); My activity is here(not much to do it just launches the layout) public class Item extends Activity{ protected SQLiteDatabase myDB=null; protected String name; protected int uid; TextView yeart,year,itemname,comment,commentt,value,valuet,curr,currt; protected void onStart(Bundle savedInstanceState){ super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.herp); /*name=getIntent().getStringExtra("name"); uid=Integer.parseInt(getIntent().getStringExtra("uid")); itemname=(TextView) findViewById(R.id.itemName);//itemname.setText(name); year=(TextView) findViewById(R.id.itemYear); yeart=(TextView) findViewById(R.id.year); comment=(TextView) findViewById(R.id.itemComments); commentt=(TextView) findViewById(R.id.comments); curr=(TextView) findViewById(R.id.itemcurrent); currt=(TextView) findViewById(R.id.current); value=(TextView) findViewById(R.id.itemValue); valuet=(TextView) findViewById(R.id.value);*/ Database openHelper = new Database(this); myDB = openHelper.getReadableDatabase(); myDB=SQLiteDatabase.openDatabase("data/data/com.example.login2/databases/aeglea", null, SQLiteDatabase.OPEN_READONLY); }} And finally my XML layout <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:orientation="vertical" > <TextView android:id="@+id/itemName" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="asdasd" android:gravity="center" android:layout_marginBottom="10px" android:textAppearance="?android:attr/textAppearanceLarge" android:textColor="#fff" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/current" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Current" android:textSize="20dp" android:textStyle="bold" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/itemcurrent" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="asdasd" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/year" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Year" android:textSize="20dp" android:textStyle="bold" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/itemYear" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="asdasd" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/value" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Value" android:textSize="20dp" android:textStyle="bold" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/itemValue" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="TextView" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/comments" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="Comments" android:textSize="20dp" android:textStyle="bold" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/itemComments" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="TextView" /> </LinearLayout>

  • Jquery Flexslider - can't see navigational images (manualControl)

    - by Kim Thomas
    I've spent a lot of time looking at the post on 3/13/12 re: manual controls, but isn't getting me all the way there...probably because I don't know jquery. Sorry, newbie on board. I'm trying to get the right/left arrows to show, as well as the 1, 2, 3...at the bottom. They are there, I see the lists on Firebug, just don't know how to add them to the "hook" (?) so they appear. • jQuery sequence and function call problem

    - by Jonas
    Hi everyone, I'm very new to jquery and programming in general but I'm still trying to achieve something here. I use Fullcalendar to allow the users of my web application to insert an event in the database. The click on a day, view changes to agendaDay, then on a time of the day, and a dialog popup opens with a form. I am trying to combine validate (pre-jquery.1.4), jquery.form to post the form without page refresh The script calendar.php, included in several pages, defines the fullcalendar object and displays it in a div: $(document).ready(function() { function EventLoad() { $("#addEvent").validate({ rules: { calendar_title: "required", calendar_url: { required: false, maxlength: 100, url: true } }, messages: { calendar_title: "Title required", calendar_url: "Invalid URL format" }, success: function() { $('#addEvent').submit(function() { var options = { success: function() { $('#eventDialog').dialog('close'); $('#calendar').fullCalendar( 'refetchEvents' ); } }; // submit the form $(this).ajaxSubmit(options); // return false to prevent normal browser submit and page navigation return false; }); } }); } $('#calendar').fullCalendar({ header: { left: 'prev,next today', center: 'title', right: 'month,agendaWeek,agendaDay' }, theme: true, firstDay: 1, editable: false, events: "json-events.php?list=1&<?php echo $events_list; ?>", <?php if($_GET['page'] == 'home') echo "defaultView: 'agendaWeek',"; ?> eventClick: function(event) { if (event.url) { window.open(event.url); return false; } }, dayClick: function(date, allDay, jsEvent, view) { if (view.name == 'month') { $('#calendar').fullCalendar( 'changeView', 'agendaDay').fullCalendar( 'gotoDate', date ); }else{ if(allDay) { var timeStamp = $.fullCalendar.formatDate( date, 'dddd+dd+MMMM_u'); var $eventDialog = $('<div/>').load("json-events.php?<?php echo $events_list; ?>&new=1&all_day=1&timestamp=" + timeStamp, null, EventLoad).dialog({autoOpen:false,draggable: false, width: 675, modal:true, position:['center',202], resizable: false, title:'Add an Event'}); $eventDialog.dialog('open').attr('id','eventDialog'); } else { var timeStamp = $.fullCalendar.formatDate( date, 'dddd+dd+MMMM_u'); var $eventDialog = $('<div/>').load("json-events.php?<?php echo $events_list; ?>&new=1&all_day=0&timestamp=" + timeStamp, null, EventLoad).dialog({autoOpen:false,draggable: false, width: 675, modal:true, position:['center',202], resizable: false, title:'Add an Event'}); $eventDialog.dialog('open').attr('id','eventDialog');; } } } }); }); The script json-events.php contains the form and also the code to process the data from the submitted form. What happens when I test the whole thing: - first user click on a day, then time of day. Popup opens with time and date indicated on the form. When user submits the form, dialog closes and calendar refreshes its events.... and the event added by the user appears several times (from 4 to up to 11 times!). The form has been processed several times by the receiving php script?! - second user click, the popup opens, user submit empty form. Form is submitted (validate function not triggered) and user redirected to empty page json-events.php (ajaxForm not triggered either) Obviously, my code is wrong (and dirty as well, sorry). Why is the submitted form, submitted several time to receiving script and why is the javascript function EventLoad triggered only once ? Thank you very much for you help. This problem is killing me !

  • Canvas rotate from bottom center image angle?

    - by Tom
    How do you rotate an image with the canvas html5 element from the bottom center angle? See http://uptowar.com/test.php for my current code and image: <html> <head> <title>test</title> <script type="text/javascript"> function startup() { var canvas = document.getElementById('canvas'); var ctx = canvas.getContext('2d'); var img = new Image(); img.src = 'player.gif'; img.onload = function() { ctx.translate(185, 185); ctx.rotate(90 * Math.PI / 180); ctx.drawImage(img, 0, 0, 64, 120); } } </script> </head> <body onload='startup();'> <canvas id="canvas" style="position: absolute; left: 300px; top: 300px;" width="800" height="800"></canvas> </body> </html> Unfortunately this seems to rotate it from the top left angle of the image. Any idea? Edit: in the end the object (space ship) has to rotate like a clock pointer, as if it is turning right/left.

  • x86 instruction encoding tables

    - by Cheery
    I'm in middle of rewriting my assembler. While at it I'm curious about implementing disassembly as well. I want to make it simple and compact, and there's concepts I can exploit while doing so. It is possible to determine rest of the x86 instruction encoding from opcode (maybe prefix bytes are required too, a bit). I know many people have written tables for doing it. I'm not interested about mnemonics but instruction encoding, because it is an actual hard problem there. For each opcode number I need to know: does this instruction contain modrm? how many immediate fields does this instruction have? what encoding does an immediate use? is the immediate in field an instruction pointer -relative address? what kind of registers does the modrm use for operand and register fields? sandpile.org has somewhat quite much what I'd need, but it's in format that isn't easy to parse. Before I start writing and validating those tables myself, I decided to write this question. Do you know about this kind of tables existing somewhere? In a form that doesn't require too much effort to parse.

  • Sharing the model in MVP Winforms App

    - by Keith G
    I'm working on building up an MVP application (C# Winforms). My initial version is at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1422343/ ... Now I'm increasing the complexity. I've broken out the code to handle two separate text fields into two view/presenter pairs. It's a trivial example, but it's to work out the details of multiple presenters sharing the same model. My questions are about the model: I am basically using a property changed event raised by the model for notifying views that something has changed. Is that a good approach? What if it gets to the point where I have 100 or 1000 properties? Is it still practical at that point? Is instantiating the model in each presenter with   NoteModel _model = NoteModel.Instance   the correct approach? Note that I do want to make sure all of the presenters are sharing the same data. If there is a better approach, I'm open to suggestions .... My code looks like this: NoteModel.cs public class NoteModel : INotifyPropertyChanged { private static NoteModel _instance = null; public static NoteModel Instance { get { return _instance; } } static NoteModel() { _instance = new NoteModel(); } private NoteModel() { Initialize(); } public string Filename { get; set; } public bool IsDirty { get; set; } public readonly string DefaultName = "Untitled.txt"; string _sText; public string TheText { get { return _sText; } set { _sText = value; PropertyHasChanged("TheText"); } } string _sMoreText; public string MoreText { get { return _sMoreText; } set { _sMoreText = value; PropertyHasChanged("MoreText"); } } public void Initialize() { Filename = DefaultName; TheText = String.Empty; MoreText = String.Empty; IsDirty = false; } private void PropertyHasChanged(string sPropName) { IsDirty = true; if (PropertyChanged != null) { PropertyChanged(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs(sPropName)); } } public event PropertyChangedEventHandler PropertyChanged; } TextEditorPresenter.cs public class TextEditorPresenter { ITextEditorView _view; NoteModel _model = NoteModel.Instance; public TextEditorPresenter(ITextEditorView view)//, NoteModel model) { //_model = model; _view = view; _model.PropertyChanged += new PropertyChangedEventHandler(model_PropertyChanged); } void model_PropertyChanged(object sender, PropertyChangedEventArgs e) { if (e.PropertyName == "TheText") _view.TheText = _model.TheText; } public void TextModified() { _model.TheText = _view.TheText; } public void ClearView() { _view.TheText = String.Empty; } } TextEditor2Presenter.cs is essentially the same except it operates on _model.MoreText instead of _model.TheText. ITextEditorView.cs public interface ITextEditorView { string TheText { get; set; } } ITextEditor2View.cs public interface ITextEditor2View { string MoreText { get; set; } }

  • How do I load an image from sd card into coverview

    - by Jolene
    I am doing an application which consists of a cover flow. Currently I am trying to make the cover flow images be obtained from the sd card. But I am not exactly sure how should I display the image. this is the image adapter: public class ImageAdapter extends BaseAdapter { int mGalleryItemBackground; private Context mContext; private FileInputStream fis; private Integer[] mImageIds = { //Instead of using r.drawable, i need to load the images from my sd card instead R.drawable.futsing, R.drawable.futsing2 }; private ImageView[] mImages; public ImageAdapter(Context c) { mContext = c; mImages = new ImageView[mImageIds.length]; } public int getCount() { return mImageIds.length; } public Object getItem(int position) { return position; } public long getItemId(int position) { return position; } @TargetApi(8) public View getView(int position, View convertView, ViewGroup parent) { int screenSize = getResources().getConfiguration().screenLayout & Configuration.SCREENLAYOUT_SIZE_MASK; ImageView i = new ImageView(mContext); i.setImageResource(mImageIds[position]); switch(screenSize) { case Configuration.SCREENLAYOUT_SIZE_XLARGE: //Toast.makeText(this, "Small screen",Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); Display display4 = ((WindowManager) context.getSystemService(Context.WINDOW_SERVICE)).getDefaultDisplay(); int rotation4 = display4.getRotation(); Log.d("XLarge:",String.valueOf(rotation4)); /** LANDSCAPE **/ if(rotation4 == 0 || rotation4 == 2) { i.setLayoutParams(new CoverFlow.LayoutParams(300, 300)); i.setScaleType(ImageView.ScaleType.CENTER_INSIDE); BitmapDrawable drawable = (BitmapDrawable) i.getDrawable(); drawable.setAntiAlias(true); return i; } /** PORTRAIT **/ else if (rotation4 == 1 || rotation4 == 3) { i.setLayoutParams(new CoverFlow.LayoutParams(650, 650)); i.setScaleType(ImageView.ScaleType.CENTER_INSIDE); BitmapDrawable drawable = (BitmapDrawable) i.getDrawable(); drawable.setAntiAlias(true); return i; } break; default: } return null; } /** Returns the size (0.0f to 1.0f) of the views * depending on the 'offset' to the center. */ public float getScale(boolean focused, int offset) { /* Formula: 1 / (2 ^ offset) */ return Math.max(0, 1.0f / (float)Math.pow(2, Math.abs(offset))); } } and this is how i download and save the file.   • Detect click on URL in RichEdit

    - by Tofig Hasanov
    I am trying to update RichEdit so that it detects URL and enables clicking on it to open in the browser. Detecting URL is easy, I just use the following code from http://www.scalabium.com/faq/dct0146.htm mask := SendMessage(MNote.Handle, EM_GETEVENTMASK, 0, 0); SendMessage(MNote.Handle, EM_SETEVENTMASK, 0, mask or ENM_LINK); SendMessage(MNote.Handle, EM_AUTOURLDETECT, Integer(True), 0); but the second part doesn't work for me. They give the following code to capture EN_LINK message and processing it: type TForm1 = class(TForm) protected procedure WndProc(var Message: TMessage); override; end; ... procedure TForm1.WndProc(var Message: TMessage); var p: TENLink; strURL: string; begin if (Message.Msg = WM_NOTIFY) then begin if (PNMHDR(Message.LParam).code = EN_LINK) then begin p := TENLink(Pointer(TWMNotify(Message).NMHdr)^); if (p.msg = WM_LBUTTONDOWN) then begin SendMessage(RichEdit1.Handle, EM_EXSETSEL, 0, LongInt(@(p.chrg))); strURL := RichEdit1.SelText; ShellExecute(Handle, 'open', PChar(strURL), 0, 0, SW_SHOWNORMAL); end end end; inherited; end; When I run the program, URL is detected, but clicking on it doesn't do anything. Using debug I found out that Message.Msg = WM_NOTIFY is not true when I click on URL. I then tried to override TRichEdit's WndProc, but result is the same. Any suggestions?

  • PDCurses TUI C++ Win32 console app - Access violation reading location

    - by Bach
    I have downloaded pdcurses source and was able to successfully include curses.h in my project, linked the pre-compiled library and all good. After few hours of trying out the library, I saw the tuidemo.c in the demos folder, compiled it into an executable and brilliant! exactly what I needed for my project. Now the problem is that it's a C code, and I am working on a C++ project in VS c++ 2008. The files I need are tui.c and tui.h How can I include that C file in my C++ code? I saw few suggestions here but the compiler was not too happy with 100's of warnings and errors. How can I go on including/using that TUI pdcurses includes!? Thanks EDIT: I added extern "C" statement, so my test looks like this now, but I'm getting some other type of error #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> using namespace std; extern "C" { #include <tui.h> } void sub0(void) { //do nothing } void sub1(void) { //do nothing } int main (int argc, char * const argv[]) { menu MainMenu[] = { { "Asub", sub0, "Go inside first submenu" }, { "Bsub", sub1, "Go inside second submenu" }, { "", (FUNC)0, "" } /* always add this as the last item! */ }; startmenu(MainMenu, "TUI - 'textual user interface' demonstration program"); return 0; } Although it is compiling successfully, it is throwing an Error at runtime, which suggests a bad pointer: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x021c52f9 at line startmenu(MainMenu, "TUI - 'textual user interface' demonstration program"); Not sure where to go from here. thanks again.

  • Java/Spring: Why won't Spring use the validator object I have configured?

    - by GMK
    I'm writing a web app with Java & Spring 2.5.6 and using annotations for bean validation. I can get the basic annotation validation working fine, and Spring will even call a custom Validator declared with @Validator on the target bean. But it always instantiates a brand new Validator object to do it. This is bad because the new validator has none of the injected dependencies it needs to run, and so it throws a null pointer exception on validate. I need one of two things and I don't know how to do either. Convince Spring to use the validator I have already configured. Convince Spring to honor the @Autowired annotations when it creates the new validator. The validator has the @Component annotation, like this. @Component public class AccessCodeBeanValidator implements Validator { @Autowired private MessageSource messageSource; Spring finds the validator in the component scan, injects the autowired dependencies, but then ignores it and creates a new one at validation time. The only thing that I can do at the moment is add a validator reference into the controller for each validator object and use that ref directly, instead of relying on the bean validation framework to call the validator for me. It looks like this. // first validate via the annotations on the bean beanValidator.validate(accessCodeBean, result); // then validate using the specific validator class acbValidator.validate(accessCodeBean, result); if (result.hasErrors()) { If anyone knows how to convince spring to use the existing validator, instead of creating a new one, or how to make it do the autowiring when it creates a new one, I'd love to know.

  • Shellcode for a simple stack overflow doesn't start a shell

    - by henning
    Hi, I played around with buffer overflows on Linux (amd64) and tried exploiting a simple program, but it failed. I disabled the security features (address space layout randomization with sysctl -w kernel.randomize_va_space=0 and nx bit in the bios). It jumps to the stack and executes the shellcode, but it doesn't start a shell. Seems like the execve syscall fails. Any idea what's wrong? Running the shellcode standalone works just fine. Bonus question: Why do I need to set rax to zero before calling printf? • ListView: convertView / holder getting confused

    - by Steve H
    I'm working with a ListView, trying to get the convertView / referenceHolder optimisation to work properly but it's giving me trouble. (This is the system where you store the R.id.xxx pointers in as a tag for each View to avoid having to call findViewById). I have a ListView populated with simple rows of an ImageView and some text, but the ImageView can be formatted either for portrait-sized images (tall and narrow) or landscape-sized images (short and wide). It's adjusting this formatting for each row which isn't working as I had hoped. The basic system is that to begin with, it inflates the layout for each row and sets the ImageView's settings based on the data, and includes an int denoting the orientation in the tag containing the R.id.xxx values. Then when it starts reusing convertViews, it checks this saved orientation against the orientation of the new row. The theory then is that if the orientation is the same, then the ImageView should already be set up correctly. If it isn't, then it sets the parameters for the ImageView as appropriate and updates the tag. However, I found that it was somehow getting confused; sometimes the tag would get out of sync with the orientation of the ImageView. For example, the tag would still say portrait, but the actual ImageView would still be in landscape layout. I couldn't find a pattern to how or when this happened; it wasn't consistent by orientation, position in the list or speed of scrolling. I can solve the problem by simply removing the check about convertView's orientation and simply always set the ImageView's parameters, but that seems to defeat the purpose of this optimisation. Can anyone see what I've done wrong in the code below? static LinearLayout.LayoutParams layoutParams; (...) public View getView(int position, View convertView, ViewGroup parent){ ReferenceHolder holder; if (convertView == null){ convertView = inflater.inflate(R.layout.pick_image_row, null); holder = new ReferenceHolder(); holder.getIdsAndSetTag(convertView, position); if (data[position][ORIENTATION] == LANDSCAPE) { // Layout defaults to portrait settings, so ImageView size needs adjusting. // layoutParams is modified here, with specific values for width, height, margins etc holder.image.setLayoutParams(layoutParams); } holder.orientation = data[position][ORIENTATION]; } else { holder = (ReferenceHolder) convertView.getTag(); if (holder.orientation != data[position][ORIENTATION]){ //This is the key if statement for my question switch (image[position][ORIENTATION]) { case PORTRAIT: // layoutParams is reset to the Portrait settings holder.orientation = data[position][ORIENTATION]; break; case LANDSCAPE: // layoutParams is reset to the Landscape settings holder.orientation = data[position][ORIENTATION]; break; } holder.image.setLayoutParams(layoutParams); } } // and the row's image and text is set here, using holder.image.xxx // and holder.text.xxx return convertView; } static class ReferenceHolder { ImageView image; TextView text; int orientation; void getIdsAndSetTag(View v, int position){ image = (ImageView) v.findViewById(R.id.pickImageImage); text = (TextView) v.findViewById(R.id.pickImageText); orientation = data[position][ORIENTATION]; v.setTag(this); } } Thanks!

  • FreeType2 Bitmap to System::Drawing::Bitmap.

    - by Dennis Roche
    Hi, I'm trying to convert a FreeType2 bitmap to a System::Drawing::Bitmap in C++/CLI. FT_Bitmap has a unsigned char* buffer that contains the data to write. I have got somewhat working save it disk as a *.tga, but when saving as *.bmp it renders incorrectly. I believe that the size of byte[] is incorrect and that my data is truncated. Any hints/tips/ideas on what is going on here would be greatly appreciated. Links to articles explaining byte layout and pixel formats etc. would be helpful. Thanks!! C++/CLI code. FT_Bitmap *bitmap = &face->glyph->bitmap; int width = (face->bitmap->metrics.width / 64); int height = (face->bitmap->metrics.height / 64); // must be aligned on a 32 bit boundary or 4 bytes int depth = 8; int stride = ((width * depth + 31) & ~31) >> 3; int bytes = (int)(stride * height); // as *.tga void *buffer = bytes ? malloc(bytes) : NULL; if (buffer) { memset(buffer, 0, bytes); for (int i = 0; i < glyph->rows; ++i) memcpy((char *)buffer + (i * width), glyph->buffer + (i * glyph->pitch), glyph->pitch); WriteTGA("Test.tga", buffer, width, height); } array<Byte>^ values = gcnew array<Byte>(bytes); Marshal::Copy((IntPtr)glyph->buffer, values, 0, bytes); // as *.bmp Bitmap^ systemBitmap = gcnew Bitmap(width, height, PixelFormat::Format24bppRgb); // create bitmap data, lock pixels to be written. BitmapData^ bitmapData = systemBitmap->LockBits(Rectangle(0, 0, width, height), ImageLockMode::WriteOnly, bitmap->PixelFormat); Marshal::Copy(values, 0, bitmapData->Scan0, bytes); systemBitmap->UnlockBits(bitmapData); systemBitmap->Save("Test.bmp"); Reference, FT_Bitmap typedef struct FT_Bitmap_ { int rows; int width; int pitch; unsigned char* buffer; short num_grays; char pixel_mode; char palette_mode; void* palette; } FT_Bitmap; Reference, WriteTGA bool WriteTGA(const char *filename, void *pxl, uint16 width, uint16 height) { FILE *fp = NULL; fopen_s(&fp, filename, "wb"); if (fp) { TGAHeader header; memset(&header, 0, sizeof(TGAHeader)); header.imageType = 3; header.width = width; header.height = height; header.depth = 8; header.descriptor = 0x20; fwrite(&header, sizeof(header), 1, fp); fwrite(pxl, sizeof(uint8) * width * height, 1, fp); fclose(fp); return true; } return false; }

  • Event receiver on Content Type not triggered on WikiPageLibrary

    - by Ciprian Grosu
    Hello all, I created a new content type for a wiki page library. I added this content type to library by code (the interface did not allow this). Next, I added an event receiver to this content type (on ItemAdded and ItemAdding). My problem is that no event is trrigered. If I add this events directly to the wiki page library all works fine. Is there a limitation/bug/trick ? I looked at the content type attached to the library with SharePoint Manager and in his schema the part for event receiver is missing...I know that there should be something like: <XmlDocuments> <XmlDocument NamespaceURI="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/events"> <spe:Receivers xmlns:spe="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/events"> <Receiver> <Name> </Name> <Type>1</Type> <SequenceNumber>10000</SequenceNumber> <Assembly>RssFeedWP, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=f6722cbeba696def</Assembly> <Class>RssFeedWP.ItemEventReceiver</Class> <Data> </Data> <Filter> </Filter> </Receiver> <Receiver> <Name> </Name> <Type>10001</Type> <SequenceNumber>10000</SequenceNumber> <Assembly>RssFeedWP, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=f6722cbeba696def</Assembly> <Class>RssFeedWP.ItemEventReceiver</Class> <Data> </Data> <Filter> </Filter> </Receiver> </spe:Receivers> </XmlDocument> If I look with SPM to the content type added to site I see this part into schema. Here is my code: public override void FeatureActivated(SPFeatureReceiverProperties properties) { using (SPWeb web = (SPWeb)properties.Feature.Parent) { // create RssWiki content type SPContentType rssFeedContentType = new SPContentType(web.AvailableContentTypes["Wiki Page"], web.ContentTypes, "RssFeed Wiki Page"); // add rssfeed url field to the new content type AddFieldToContentType(web, rssFeedContentType, "RssFeed Url", SPFieldType.Note); // add use xslt check box field to the new content type AddFieldToContentType(web, rssFeedContentType, "Use Xslt", SPFieldType.Boolean); // add xslt url field to the new content type AddFieldToContentType(web, rssFeedContentType, "Xslt Url", SPFieldType.Note); web.ContentTypes.Add(rssFeedContentType); rssFeedContentType.Update(); web.Update(); AddContentTypeToList(web, rssFeedContentType); AddEventReceiversToCT(rssFeedContentType); //AddEventReceiverToList(web); } } private void AddFieldToContentType(SPWeb web, SPContentType ct, string fieldName, SPFieldType fieldType) { SPField rssUrlField = null; try { rssUrlField = web.Fields.GetField(fieldName); } catch (Exception ex) { if (rssUrlField == null) { web.Fields.Add(fieldName, fieldType, false); } } SPFieldLink rssUrlFieldLink = new SPFieldLink(web.Fields[fieldName]); ct.FieldLinks.Add(rssUrlFieldLink); } private static void AddContentTypeToList(SPWeb web, SPContentType ct) { SPList wikiList = web.Lists[listName]; wikiList.ContentTypesEnabled = true; wikiList.ContentTypes.Add(ct); wikiList.Update(); } private static void AddEventReceiversToCT(SPContentType ct) { //add event receivers string assemblyName = System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().FullName; string ctReceiverName = "RssFeedWP.ItemEventReceiver"; ct.EventReceivers.Add(SPEventReceiverType.ItemAdding, assemblyName, ctReceiverName); ct.EventReceivers.Add(SPEventReceiverType.ItemAdded, assemblyName, ctReceiverName); ct.Update(); } Thx !
