• VB Script - Unmount USB drive

  I have tedious project coming up. I need to insert a usb flash drive into a computer, then copy over three files to that drive, and then unmount it and repeat 3000 times (literally). I was hoping to come up with some VB Script that can reduce my input to just 1.) insert the usb and 2.) double click on the .vbs file and remove the usb flash drive. I figure it isnt too difficult to come up with the copy and paste part of the code as long as I am inserting the usb into the same port every time. Is this assumption correct? However, the real problem is unmounting/ejecting the usb drive. Is there any simple VB Script code that can accomplish this? Thank you, -Corey

I made a maven multi module project with the following modules: /api /domain /repositories /webapp I like to share the domain and the repositories between the api and the webapp (both web projects).   It does not need to be a full fledged OS, but at least have multitasking capabilities (i.e. a scheduler). Please mention what processor architecture it works on. This is a survey, so exact capabilities are not really important. Think of this as being a place to look at for possibilities when your next 8-bit embedded project comes up... I realize that most 8-bit micro do not require an OS, but just as a counter-example, Rabbit Semiconductor offers the RCM3710 processor module with 4 serial ports, a 10-BaseT ethernet port, 512K RAM and 512K Flash. All that for $39. All based around an 8-bit Z80 core. 8-bit does NOT necessarily mean extreme resource constraint.

  Hi, I have a home server, on which I have installed Apache, and several other applications that have a Web GUI (JDownloader, Free Download Manager). In order to access each of these apps (whether be it from the local network or the Internet), I have to enter a different port, e.g., http:// server:8085 or http:// xxxx.dyndns.org:8085 for Apache, http:// server:90 or http:// xxxx.dyndns.org:90 for FDM, http:// server:8081 or http:// xxxx.dyndns.org:8081 for JDownloader. I would like to be able to access them using sub-domains, e.g, http:// apache.server or http:// apache.xxxx.dyndns.org for Apache, http:// fdm.server or http:// fdm.xxxx.dyndns.org for FDM, http:// jdownloader.server or http:// jdownloader.xxxx.dyndns.org for JDownloader. First of all, would it be possible like I want it, i.e., both from LAN and Internet, and if yes, how?   It is clear that cross compilers will not be allowed by the Apple App Store, so a developer will need to be familiar with Objective-C to create applications for the iPhone. I was wondering, is there a cross compiler that will take Objective-C application code and rebuild it into a similar Java application that can be packaged for Android? That way, a developer could still learn just one language (obj-c) but put out applications on many devices. I understand that the Java port would be less optimal than a natively coded application, but could conceivably save a developer some time.

Edited: how can we give the anonymous access to the SSRS reports? • Generic Text Only printer driver mangles control codes

  If an escape character (or most other characters < 0x20) is sent to the generic / text only printer it gets printed as a period. Using the code in the WinDDK is it possible to 'correct' this behaviour so that it passes it through unmodified? The general scenario for this is that some application ('user app') outputs a document to a windows printer. My application requires this data in plain text form and so what I do is run a generic / text only printer that talks to a virtual com port. This generally works fine except where the 'user app' outputs binary data to the print queue without using the correct mechanism (which seems to work fine on some printer drivers, such as the Epson POS ones, but not the generic / text only one). I've tried changing the print processor selection without success and also tried looking at the gtt files to see if I could readily map in these characters as though they were printable, but the minidriver tool won't let me do that. Any suggestions?

FYI, my line 56 is the following line of code in simpleCMS.php public function display_admin() { Above this line is public function display_public() Can anyone possibly see what I could be doing wrong and again, my code is the same code from the tutorial website and have downloaded the files that came with it? Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Furthermore, I am using Mac OS X MAMP to run my Apache/MySQL Server locally. My other question is, when I using the following command: mysql_connect($this->host,$this->username,$this->password) is my hostname 'localhost' alone or do I also have to include port alongside the localhost? • AES Encryption. From Python (pyCrypto) to .NET

  I am currently trying to port a legacy Python app over to .NET which contains AES encrpytion using from what I can tell pyCrpyto. I have very limited Python and Crypto experience. The code uses the snippet from the following page. http://www.djangosnippets.org/snippets/1095/ So far I believe I have managed to work out that it that it calls Crypto.Cipher with AES and the first 32 character of our secret key as the password, but no mode or IV. It also puts a prefix on the encrpyed text when it is added to database. What I can't work out is how I can decrypt the existing ecrypted database records in .NET. I have been looking at RijndaelManaged but it requires an IV and can't see any reference to one in python. Can anyone point me in the dirrection to what method could be used in .NET to get the desired result.

  Hello, I have a program that listens on port 443 and then redirects to either an SSH or HTTPS local server depending on the detected protocol. The program does this by connecting to the local server and proxying all data back and forth through its own process. However, this causes the originating host on the local servers to be logged as localhost. Is there any way to pass the socket directly to the local server process (rather than just making a new TCP connection) so that the parameters of sockaddr_in (or sockaddr_in6) will be retained? Platform for this is Linux.

  I have successfully installed the Clearance Gem from ThoughtBot. Clearance sends a confirmation email upon a new sign_up and suggests adding: config.action_mailer.default_url_options = { :host => 'localhost:3000' } to your /environments/test.rb and development.rb. I have tried this and also config.action_mailer.default_url_options = { :host => '127.0.0.1', :port => 3000 } But can't seem to get rails to send the email. As I am new to both Ruby and Rails, I am wondering if there is some step/config that ThoughtBot is assuming I have already done to send emails. What am I doing wrong/missing? So far I've worked locally and all worked fine, until i realized I'll have to use my program in a network where all access goes through a proxy. Does anyone now how I can set the connections managed by that lib to use a proxy? Alternatively: do you know of another Python lib for MySQL that can handle this? I also have no idea if the if the proxy server will allow access to the standard MySQL port or how I can trick it to allow it. Help on this is also welcomed.

  Reading from the googleVis package vignette: "With the googleVis package users can create easily web pages with interactive charts based on R data frames and display them either via the R.rsp package or within their own sites". Following the instructions I was able to see the sample charts, using the plot method for gvis objects. This method by default creates a rsp-file in the rsp/myAnalysis folder of the googleVis package, using the type and chart id information of the object and displays the output using the local web server of the R.rsp package (port 8074 by default). Could anybody help me (or provide some link) on the procedure someone has to follow in order to embed such charts into an existing web site (e.g. a joomla site)?

• Arduino - AdHoc Network Setup

  I`m currently working with an arduino trying to build an adhoc network to which a device can connect to and send web request to. The problem I am currently having is that I can only set up one connection and then when that connection is terminated (client.stop()) all subsequent connections are not picked up by the server, even a curl command just sits there spinning. The first connection I start when I reset the server works fine and I am able to talk to the server; but after that, the arduino can no longer find new clients (even though it's trying with the library given). I`m using the sparkfun library for the wifly shield cloned from github, along with an Arduino Uno. My current code is based off their default example 'WiFly_AdHoc_Example' but I had to remove a few things to get the network to start up which might be the cause of this problem. EDIT: Using telnet I can successfully connect (the first time) and send commands to the arduino including one to terminate the connection (calls the client.stop() method). But when I try to reconnect though telnet, it says the connection was successful but on the arduino it's still looping thinking the client is still false. WHAT??? I know right, I'm getting mixed messages from telnet vs arduino. None of the commands work obviously since the ardunio is still looping waiting for a client that evaluates to true. I'm gonna take a look at WiFlyServer from the library I imported and see if I can dig up the problem because somehow that server.available() method isn't finding new clients. Noticing a lot of TODO's in the library code.... EDIT: So I found the reason for the problem, it was in WiFlyServer.cpp file from the sparkfun library. The code that was causing the reconnect issue was infact in the server.availible() method. Right at the top of the method, there is a check: // TODO: Ensure no active non-server client connection. if (!WiFly.serverConnectionActive) { activeClient._port = 0; } For some reason when I comment this out, I can reconnect fine and everything works as it should. I will now dive into the library and see if I can fix this, I'm not exactly sure what this is doing but it gets called when the server connection is not active and is somehow blocking subsequent connections. Does anyone have any ideas how I might get to the root of this problem without using this commenting hack? Please help, no-one has commented or answered yet! Don't you want to join in on the fun???

However, if I start up another service while this browser is running it will not appear. It just waits at the top of the block so I would expect it to enter the block once a new service is registered.   Hi, I've spent many many hours tonight reading up on implementing the event-based asynchronous pattern Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any articles at all on witting a class that only supports one Async invocation. Every example I've seen assumes that a method call will be called more than once and thus, should have a userState object passed into the MethodNameAsync You'll see that MS makes mention of this in the third bullet point on this article http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms228974(VS.80).aspx under the "Simultaneously Executing Operations" heading. But I'm confused. Should I be using AsyncOperation and AsyncOperationManager classes to have asynchronous functionality where a method can only be called by one thread at a time? A link would also be nice :) Thanks
