  • Access SSIS Projects Stored in MSDB Database in BIDS?

    I have a database server (db1) that has SSIS installed and configured (SQL 2008). I have configured it so I can remotely connect to SSIS through SSMS. Now I am trying to open one of these SSIS projects that is in the MSDB database? I know in SSRS it is easy to deploy to the server reports, but I'm not seeing a way to open or deploy SSIS projects?     Hello! I've got some tables in an existing database and I want to map them to a Java object. Actually it's one table that contains the main information an some other tables that reference to such a table entry with a foreign key. I don't want to store objects in the database, I only want to read from it. The program should not be allowed to apply any changes to the underlying database. Currently I read from the database with 5 JDBC sql queries and set the results then on an object. I'm now looking for a less code intensive way. Another goal is the learning aspect. Is Hibernate suitable for this task, or is there another ORM framework that better fits my requirement?

    I know innerHTML is supposedly evil, but I think it's the simplest way to change link text. For example: <a id="mylink" href="">click me</a> In JS you can change the text with: document.getElementById("mylink").innerHTML = new_text; And in Prototype/jQuery: $("mylink").innerHTML = new_text; works fine. Otherwise you have to replace all of the child nodes first and then add a text node. Why bother?

  • How to change database connection without compiling, using JBoss Seam?

    Hi there: I am developing a web site in Eclipse using JBoss Seam 1.2. My site uses a database (named ALregcli) hosted in a MySQL server. That database has only one table named trazasfallos. The server I am using is local (localhost). When I deploy the site in an "X HOST", the MySQL server it is not in the same computer... the server is in an "Y HOST", so, the connection will not be stablished to the database. I was changing the Context.xml, but it didn't work. The only way it worked was changing the host to connect to in the Context.xml and "recompiling" all the project. Then, it generates the new version of the compiled class trazasfallos.class, and this is the file I have to overwrite for connecting to a new database server. The point is that I want to make the change without "recompiling" anything... Maybe there is a way to make only a "text change" and it will work (maybe in a .xml file)... but I don't know how to do it!! The question is: how to change the connection to the database without recompiling anything in the site?? I am sorry about my English, I am from Cuba.

    I am using BGHUDAppKit for an outline view within a HUD-style (black) NSPanel. As such the text in my outline view cells is light gray or white. Unfortunately this means that when I hover to bring up a tooltip for a cell's value, it shows up as light gray text on yellow, which is illegible. How can I set the text color for the tooltip, or is there a way that I can modify the control itself (without changing its appearance) to work better with the tooltip mechanism?

    I'm trying to parse some of html where there is are repeating lines of code such as: <a>This is <span>some text</span> but its <span>not grabbing the span</span> content</a> So I am looping through the object and extracting this: object.a[i].text(); but its only returning "This is but its content" How do I grab the text within the children nodes as well, all as one string?   • Align text with bottom as it comes in during a chat?

    I'm building a custom web chat application, and while I have the basics worked out, I've been wondering if this was possible... right now, the chat comes in at the top of the div, and when it reaches the bottom, the div starts scrolling. This works. This is great. But I was wondering if it was possible to create it more like an IRC client, where the chat comes in initially at the bottom of the div, then each new line comes in below the old ones, etc, and again, when the div is full, it starts scrolling. I've managed to get part of this working: I can get it displaying this way. But I can't find a way to scroll it; either the scroll doesn't appear (when there's no overflow on the inner, text div, despite there being an overflow on the outer, container div), or it's confined to the width of the text rather than the width of the container div. Some options I've tried: <div id="chatbox" style="overflow: auto; position: relative; width: 100%; height: 400px;"> <div id="chatmessages" style="overflow: auto; position: absolute; bottom: 0;"></div></div> This has the text appear properly at the bottom, but no scrollbar ever appears. <div id="chatbox" style="overflow: auto; position: relative; width: 100%; height: 400px;"> <div id="chatmessages" style="overflow: scroll; position: absolute; bottom: 0;"></div></div> This has the text appear properly at the bottom, and a scrollbar appears, but it's only ever as wide as the text, even if width=100%... and when the text reaches the top, the scrollbar remains gray. Basically, do I want the scrollbar on the inner or the container div, is this even possible, how do I force it to work, and am I going about this entirely wrong?

    Hello SO; I've been fighting with this problem all day and am just about at my wit's end. I have an XML file in which certain portions of data are stored as escaped text but are themselves well-formed XML. I want to convert the whole hierarchy in this text node to a node-set and extract the data therein. No combination of variables and functions I can think of works. The way I'd expect it to work would be: <xsl:variable name="a" select="InnerXML"> <xsl:for-each select="exsl:node-set($a)/*"> 'do something </xsl:for-each> The input element InnerXML contains text of the form <root><element a>text</element a><element b><element c/><element d>text</element d></element b></root> but that doesn't really matter. I just want to navigate the xml like a normal node-set. Where am I going wrong?
