  Hello I could not understand why after logging in from address: http://localhost/en/accounts/login/?next=/en/test/ I get refirected to http://localhost/accounts/profile/ So i ran search in django files and found that this address is the default LOGIN_REDIRECT_URL for django. What i did not understand is why it gets redirected to there. I guessed, that my login form's post address should be : /accounts/login/?next=/en/test/ instead of /accounts/login/ I wrote it into template and it worked. But since the redirect url changes dynamically, how can i make this login post forms address change dynamically too? is there a templatetag for that or something? Alan

  In Windows Forms - if the dropdown items of a MenuStrip has tooltips and dropdown items themselves the tooltip will have about a 50% chance of showing up below the ToolStripItems. What is the workaround? • Guessing the time zone from an arbitrary "location" string?

  I'm trying to run some statistics over the Stack Overflow data dump, and for that I would like to know the time zone for each user. However, all I have to go on is the completely free-form "location" string. I'll stress that I'm only looking for an approximation of the time zone; of course, in general this is an unsolvable problem. However, many people fill out their country, state and/or city, which should give a pretty good indication. It's okay if it fails for other cases. It doesn't have to be reliable, it doesn't have to be accurate, it doesn't have to cover all bases. I don't want to waste too much time on this, so I'm wondering if there is some code out there that can make a reasonable guess. Any language, platform, API or library goes. Any ideas?

  Hello, I'm new to Ruby/Redmine/Redcloth but I'm trying to achieve the following: The default way to build a link in Textile is "foo":http://bar. However, 90% of the day I use Atlassian products, which use [foo|http://bar] as link markup. To keep everything a bit uniform I'd like to implement this in Redmine via a plugin. However, it appears that you can't change the macro syntax so instead I'll have to look into extending RedCloth to accept this form of inserting links. Does anyone know how I can achieve this? • Infopath - changing sql servers

  I have an InfoPath form which has sort of a master-detail pattern, with two tables in the underlying main datasource. I am trying to migrate this to a new SQL Server - same database, just moved from a SQL2005 machine to a SQL2008 machine. If I change the servername, it also wants me to change the database and tables. If I select the same database and master table, the bindings are maintains for the master table. But there doesn't appear to be a way to select multiple tables when you change the datasource, so you lose the detail bindings. Am I missing something - I'm pretty new to InfoPath.

  I have been meaning to make use of design pattern in PHP, such as the observer pattern, but that I have to recreate the observers' relationship each time the page is loaded pains me. As references are saved as a new concrete objects in session, there is no way to preserve relationships between subscribers and their observers unless you use a GUID or some other properties to form a lookup, and store that property instead. With the cost of recreating the relationships each time a page is loaded, is it worthwhile to use design patterns such as observers in PHP, compared to having a clean design? Any real-world experience to share?

  I've written a game engine, which i want to integrate scripting into. However, i've looked at the available choices, which seem to be the following: Xnua Jint Managed Scripting The problems with those are (respectively): Built for XNA 1 -- there's an XNA 3.1 port but it's under the Apache license which i'm not sure is compatible with our goals (and it has a bit obtuse syntax) Appears to not properly use type-safe objects (e.g. ArrayList over generics) Is in beta, and only runs on XNA 3.0 So, to summarize my specific needs (in order of importance most to least): Needs to run on XNA 3.1 Needs to run on the XBox and Windows Should have a relatively simple API -- something closer to Jint's than Xnua's preferably uses Lua, C#, or similar languages Must be commercially sellable -- if some form of credit is needed, then that's fine. Are there any scripting solutions that meet my needs, or will i have to (eventually) roll my own?

  Selenium (RC) is being used to test an ASP.NET 1.1 site. When we make a request via Selenium RC (and then in turn via Firefox or other configured browser) the http verb is "HEAD". We have several form action methods that have separate POST and GET methods decorated with AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Get). These methods are returning a 404 and logging a "a public action method could not be found" error message. Questions: When writing separate Get/Post action methods what is the best practice for handling the Head verb? Should we always decorate with an AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Get | HttpVerbs.Head)? The only time we've seen HEAD verbs is from Selenium and from some crawlers. We created robots.txt entries for the crawlers. Does anyone know why HEAD verbs are issued via Selenium (instead of an If-Modified-Since header)? Are there mainstream crawlers that use the HEAD verb? Does it affect SEO ranking to not have it?

• JSF : able to do mass update but unable to update a single row in a datatable

  I have a simple data object: Car. I am showing the properties of Car objects in a JSF datatable. If i display the properties using inputText tags, i am able to get the modified values in the managed bean. However i just want a single row editable. So have placed a edit button in a separate column and inputText and outputText for every property of Car. the edit button just toggles the rendering of inputText and outputText. Plus i placed a update button in a separate column which is used to save the updated values. However on clicking the update button, i still get the old values instead of the modified values.   In the digital world a lot is stored multiple times. As a thought experiment or creative challenge I want you to think about making this more efficient and maybe reuse more. Think of the following cases: an mp3 track is downloaded multiple times, copied over various devices on website a login form is often rebuild many times, why not reuse more code? words themselves are used many times questions and answers are accidentally saved at many places in parallel images or photos often describe the same data (Eiffel tower, Golden gate, Taj Mahal) etc etc Are you aware of solutions? Or are you thinking about similar topics? Ideas? Blueprints? I'd love to hear from you!

• Windows service trace debug messages

  HI I wrote a udp server classlibray i hosted it in windows form and it works fine. When i debug the trace and debug messages shows in output. When i host the cl in a windows service none of the debug messages is showing. Both cl and windows service is in debug there is no tracelisteniners specified so it should use outputstring.I even put a messagebox.show in the cl just to make sure the function is getting called in the windows service and it does. So how do i get the trace/debgug message showing.The service is running as localsystem. What am i missing

• On-screen keyboard not appearing when editing text fields in a UIWebView

  I have a web view which displays a simple login form, containing username and password fields. However when the user clicks in one of the text fields, although the cursor appears in the text field, the on-screen keyboard does not appear. I've tried registering for UIKeyboardWillShowNotifications notifications and I see this notification arrive, however the keyboard doesn't actually appear on the screen. I've also tried sending the web view to the back of the view hierarchy and changing it's frame so it doesn't occupy the whole screen. However neither of these measures have solved the problem. What would people recommend trying next?

  Hi, I have a data structure which is as given below: class File { public string Value { get; set; } public File[] Dependencies { get; set; } public bool Change { get; private set; } public File(string value,File[] dependencies) { Value = value; Dependencies = dependencies; Change = false; } } Basically, this data structure follows a typical build execution of files. Each File has a value and a list of dependencies which is again of type File. Every file is exposed with a property called Change which tells whether the file is changed or not. I brainstormed to form a algorithm which goes through all these files and build in an order( i.e typical build process ) but haven't got a better algorithm. Can anyone throw some light on this? • Attaching a List of Value [LOV] to an existing page item in APEX

  I'm pretty new to APEX ( well, just started using it ~an hour ago), and I'm stuck at a pretty basic level. I've created a simple form with all the required fields. I've created a simple LOV. I can't seem to figure out how to Attach the LOV to the existing item. I tried to attach the LOV by heading over to the item's property and selecting the LOV I created, but it just doesn't seem to attach. Is this a bug with APEX or am I doing something wrong ?   Hi, I want to know how can I get the value of the request parameters "j_username" and "j_password"? After successfully login using form based authentication, I want my servlet to get the value of parameters "j_username" and "j_password", but I'm getting null as the value in both parameters. Could anyone please tell me how can I get the actual value of both paramters?   Hello , I have to design a complex webreport with DevExpress Xtrareport .I have to pull data from 40 different tables on user selection and show on the Report. So I have designed in this way. On the design form I am giving the user to select the department section and project. with three dropdowns A) select the report , B) Sort by , C)Filter By A) Select the report contains different types like family status, insurance type etc ..total 40 types. B) Sort by will contain by employee number, date of birth , Salary , and many more C) Filter by will contain like employee on vacation, or employee terminated etc etc. Now for a single webreport I am first taking a DataSource and binding data to labels. to achieve the above webreport I have to take 40 different Datasource and I have to assign to the labels? Should I be doing this?

• Ruby on Rails Foreigner plugin not working for SQL Server

  Well, now that I've finally got my stupid ODBC stuff configured, I took a schema.rb file that I dumped from a Postgres database and did a db:schema:load on it in a Rails project configured for SQL Server. Well, it sets up all the schema in the SQL Server database except for a minor detail: No foreign keys are created. The rake command doesn't show any errors and does say it is adding foreign keys. But they don't actually get added. This is the last bit from the command: -- add_foreign_key("workhistoryform", "form", {:name=>"workhistoryform_form_rid_fkey", :column=>"form_rid", :primary_key=>"form_rid"}) -> 0.0002s -- initialize_schema_migrations_table() -> 0.0092s -- assume_migrated_upto_version(0) -> 0.0942s [earlz@earlzarch avp_msql_migrations]$ So what is the problem? Does the Foreigner plugin not work in SQL Server? If it didn't I'd expect to see an error or something...

• Scrolling textboxes programmatically using WndProc messages.

  Hi, I'm trying to scroll a textbox using the form's WndProc method. The code I've come up with so far, after scouring the internet, looks like this: private void ScrollTextBox() { scrollMessage = Message.Create(TabContents.Handle, 0x00B6, new IntPtr(0x0003), new IntPtr(0x0000)); this.WndProc(ref scrollMessage); } where TabContents is a TextBox. For some reason, nothing happens when i call this method. I'd like to know why. I realise that i can accomplish the same with the MoveToCaret method, but I'm curious why this is not working.

• Databinding race condition

  I have a login form (using ChildWindow) and have implemented a Keyup event handler on the passwordbox. If the key is enter then it sets the ChildWindow ResultDialog to true. What seems to be happening is the databinding on the Passwordbox is not happening before the childwindow is closed so the Password property on my Login control is null. I've tried using KeyUp and Keydown, as well as using a buttonAutoPeer to invoke a click on the Ok button.
