  Hi, I want to fire a trigger whenever an insert command is fired.. The trigger will access a pl/sql file which can change anytime.. So the query is, if we design the trigger, how can we make sure this dynamic thing happens.. As during the stored procedure, it is not workingg.. I think - it should work for 1) External Procedures 2) Execute Statement Please correct me, if I am wrong.. • Debug error in NetBeans

  I am running a C program in NetBeans (cygwin on windows). Generally for all C programs I have run in the past, while debugging, it stops and shows the line number of segmentation fault. But for this particular program, it does not show the line number and just stops and in the output tab, it shows prog stopped by SIGSEGV. I have tried conditional breakpoint, but it is not stopping. What could be the other conditions for error?   Hello html body .home blog logged-in div #wrapper div #page div .cats I have a problem with selecting unordered lists (i.e ul li.class-name class-name-number) at the above dom location in CSS. I am working with a wordpress theme. Basically could I have suggestions for the correct selector to use in order to influence this tag? I can provide a simplified html structure if it will help. I've tried a number of selectors along the lines of: (sometimes)#page (# or .)cats (sometimes)ul li(sometimes with class name) EDIT: I've tried the selectors suggested in the wordpress docs. Thanks!

  I know that peripheral devices such as a hard driver, a floppy driver, etc are controlled by reading/writing certain control registers on their device controllers. I am wondering about the following questions: Is it true that when these peripheral devices are plugged onto the computer, the addresses(port numbers) of their control registers are thus determined by how they are attached to the address bus (i.e. the hard-wiring)? Who makes the scheme of the port number assignment? If I was given a naked computer(with no operating system and with many peripheral devices), how could I figure out the port number assignment so I can use them to control peripheral deveices.

  I have a list grouped by Region and it currently shows all the items for each city. I want to reduce to only the most recent advisory for each city. I have tried to use an xsl:for-each statement but I am messing up the names/parameters. List is called mlc The list contains the fields: Title City Region Advisory DateCreated TT (calculated number field to find the number of minutes from the DateCreated to end of today which I intended to use the smallest to find the most recent) I have the list grouped by Region and it currently shows all the items for each city.   If there is a view controller that wants to execute a number of block based tasks one at a time, how can the control be given back to the view controller after a completion block has executed. Lets say ViewControllerOne wants to execute a number of tasks, each relying on the result of the previous one, how would this control be given back to the viewcontroller after each completion block has been executed? I started thinking about this and I was heading towards a deeply nested block pattern that will surely only cause confusion to whoever else reads or tests it. A task executes and the completion block returns the result or error which is needed by the next task, which has its own completion task, that the next task relies on and so forth. How can the control be managed in one place, the viewcontroller? Would the completion block just call the next function that handles the next task, using a pointer to the view controller?

• Google checkout callback API sending ack but nothing else?

  I am putting together a test google checkout implementation and I cannot seem to get the code in the responsehandler demo to do anything aside from send acknowledgements. Even something as simple as uncommenting the folling lines case 'CHARGEABLE': { $Grequest->SendProcessOrder($data[$root]['google-order-number']['VALUE']); $Grequest->SendChargeOrder($data[$root]['google-order-number']['VALUE'],''); break; Isn't having the expected effect of causing the order to automatically be charged. The error log googlecheckout creates has no errors in it, and the message log shows that xml is being properly recieved and acknlowlegments are sent. Does anyone have a clue on how to start troubleshooting this? I am still rather fresh with PHP.

  Hi guys. I'm looking to create an options table in my db that makes every record a system option, so I can work with a little number of fields. My db has the following structure: 3 columns named id, name, and value The following data is inserted as an example: +--+-----------+--------------------------+ |id|name |value | +--+-----------+--------------------------+ | 1|uri |www.example.com | | 2|sitename |Working it out | | 3|base_folder|/folder1/folder2/ | | 4|slogan |Just a slogan for the site| +--+-----------+--------------------------+ That way I can include a large number of customizable system options very easily. The problem is that I don't know how to retrieve them. How do I get the value of uri and store it as a var? And better yet, how do I get, for exmaple, values of id 1 and 4 only without making a query each time? (I assume multiple queries are useless and a pretty ugly method.) I know the question is pretty basic but I'm lost here. I'd really appreciate your answer!

  I'm trying to use a function to count the number of unique cells in a spreadsheet that, at the same time, meet multiple criteria. Given the following example: A B C QUANT STORE# PRODUCT 1 75012 banana 5 orange 6 56089 orange 3 89247 orange 7 45321 orange 2 apple 4 45321 apple In the example above, I need to know how many unique stores with a valid STORE# have received oranges OR apples. In the case above, the result should be 3 (stores 56089, 89247 and 45321). This is how I started to try solving the problem: =SUM(IF(FREQUENCY(B2:B9,B2:B9)>0,1)) The above formula will yield the number of unique stores with a valid store#, but not just the ones that have received oranges or bananas. How can I add that extra criteria?

  List1 contains a high number (~7^10) of N-dimensional points (N <=10), List2 contains the same or fewer number of N-dimensional points (N <=10). My task is this: I want to check which point in List2 is closest (euclidean distance) to a point in List1 for every point in List1 and subsequently perform some operation on it. I have been doing it the simple- the nested loop way when I didn't have more than 50 points in List1, but with 7^10 points, this obviously takes up a lot of time. What is the fastest way to do this? Any concepts from Computational Geometry might help?

• Generate a commutative hash based on three sets of numbers?

  I need to generate a commutative hash based on three sets of "score" structs. Each score has a "start", an "end" and a "number". Both start and end are usually huge numbers (8-9 digits) but number is just from 1 to 4. I need them to be commutative so the order does not matter. I'm using XOR at the moment but it seems to be giving bad results. Since I'm working with large large datasets, I'd prefer a performance-friendly solution. Any suggestions? • Counting vowels in a string using recursion

  In my python class we are learning about recursion. I understand that it's when a function calls itself, however for this particular assignment I can't figure out how exactly to get my function to call it self to get the desired results. I need to simply count the vowels in the string given to the function. def recVowelCount(s): 'return the number of vowels in s using a recursive computation' vowelcount = 0 vowels = "aEiou".lower() if s[0] in vowels: vowelcount += 1 else: ??? I'm really not sure where to go with this, it's quite frustrating.   Hello, does anyone knows a file format for configuration files easy to read by humans? I want to have something like tag = value where value may be: String Number(int or float) Boolean(true/false) Array(of String values, Number values, Boolean values) Another structure(it will be more clear what I mean in the fallowing example) Now I use something like this: IntTag=1 FloatTag=1.1 StringTag="a string" BoolTag=true ArrayTag1=[1 2 3] ArrayTag2=[1.1 2.1 3.1] ArrayTag3=["str1" "str2" "str3"] StructTag= { NestedTag1=1 NestedTag2="str1" } and so on. Parsing is easy but for large files I find it hard to read/edit in text editors. I don't like xml for the same reason, it's hard to read. INI does not support nesting and I want to be able to nest tags. I also don't want a complicated format because I will use limited kind of values as I mentioned above. Thanks for any help.

  OKay I am at loss how to name this question. I have some HTML files, probably written by lord Lucifier himself, that I need to parse. It consists of many segments like this, among other html tags <p>HeadingNumber</p> <p style="text-indent:number;margin-top:neg_num ">Heading Text</p> <p>Body</p> Notice that the heading number and text are in seperate p tags, aligned in a horizontal line by css. the css may be whatever Lucifier fancies, a mixture of indents, paddings, margins and positions. However that line is a single object in my business model and should be kept as such. So How do I detect whether two p elements are visually in a single line and process them accordingly. I believe the HTML files are well formed if it helps.

• How to have partial incremental synchronizations based on a GUID?

  I need to synchronize an SQL Server database to Oracle through an Oracle Transparent Gateway. The synchronization is performed in batches, so I need to get the next set of data from the point where I left off. The problem I'm having is that the only field I have in the source, to help me, is a GUID. If it were a number I could just order by it, keep the last one processed and restart the process by getting the records which are my recorded number. This won't work with a GUID. Any ideas?

  K&R C Programming Language: pg. 105 Extend entab and detab to accept the shorthand entab -m +n to mean tab stops every n columns, starting at column m. entab replaces a number of spaces with a tab character and detab does the opposite. The question I have concerns the tab stops and entab. I figure that for detab it's pretty easy to determine the number of spaces needed to reach the next tab stop, so no worries there. With entab, replacing spaces with tabs is slightly more difficult since I cannot for sure know how large the tab character goes to its own tab stop (unless there is a way to know for sure). Am I even thinking about this thing properly?

  Hi, I'd like to run a unit test where a constant is slightly different than in the standard version. That is, in my default module, the following is bindConstant().annotatedWith(Names.named("number of players")).to(4); but in testing, I'd like to try this line instead: bindConstant().annotatedWith(Names.named("number of players")).to(2); Id like to achieve that without copying all of the rest of the module. What I really want is a "default" module that is "below" a more specialized module, such that in case of conflict, the specialized module wins (instead of throwing an exception, which is what guice does). In essence, my question is: how does anybody arrange for more than one module without lots of code duplication?

• C# gridview nested in repeater update

  My current situation is to display an unknown number of Plantypes and within those Plantypes display a list of Participants(also unknown number), the participants have a textbox and a dropdown that is editable (you can't edit the individual rows, there is one update that does a bit of validation then updates all rows.) I currently have a gridview nested withing a repeater, the repeater displays the Plan in a label and OnItemDataBound I call a method to populate the gridviews. It looks great, but I can't figure out how to save all the data at once. I'm not opposed to handling this a different way, as in loose the gridview and or repeater, if someone has a better idea. This is C# and framework 2.0...there is no sorting or paging on the gridviews...just some links and the fields to update. thanks in advance, Padawan
