  I'm attempting to improve the usability of a client's SharePoint deployment via JQuery; and am hitting a brick wall when trying to find any sort of documentation of what's happening in core.js (aside from painfully digging through and trying to parse any sort of meaning out of it --all 250kb of it!!!!--) Anyone have any pointers, or documentation? EDIT: Sorry, to clarify my question, i'm familiar with using JQuery with SharePoint. My question involves hooking JQuery into SharePoint's own client API. The reason why I went with this approach is because comment form is handled in a separate app. In my scenario, I render objects such as article and all I do is invoke the templatetag to render the form. You also shared with me the django comment app, which am aware of but the client am working with requires a lot of complex work to be done in the comment app thats why am working on a new one.

  We have a requirement where we need to allow users to dynamically create custom reports that will run against our database and return sets of data. It would be something similar to this: http://www.marcuswhitworth.com/2009/12/dynamic-linq-with-expression-trees/ but would ultimately contain the ability to create more complicated logic. I believe LINQ to Entities might possibly allow us to do something like we're attempting to achieve. I should note that these reports are going to need to run against multiple tables. Can anyone point me in the right direction for something like this? Has anyone done anything similar with LINQ to Entities?

• JCarousellite not working in IE8

  I have a user who's having issues running the JCarousellite plug-in in IE8. Not just on my own site, but also on the jcarousellite homepage (http://www.gmarwaha.com/jquery/jcarousellite/) It runs fine on my own machine and all his IE Security settings/levels are the same as my own (Secruity is at "Medium-High" and Privacy at "Medium"). JQuery also seems to be working for him as other aspects controlled by jquery on the site are functioning correctly. I use Firefox normally, so am not aware of every feature IE8 offers, but am thinking he has some setting/option set incorrectly. Anyone experienced something similar or have any suggestions for settings I could look at changing? Thanks

  I not getting the desired effect from a script. I want the password to contain A-Z, a-z, 0-9, and special chars. A-Z a-z 0-9 2 special chars 2 string length = 8 So I want to force the user to use at least 2 digits and at least 2 special chars. Ok my script works but forces me to use the digits or chars back to back. I don't want that. e.g. password testABC55$$ is valid - but i don't want that. Instead I want test$ABC5#8 to be valid. So basically the digits/special char can be the same or diff - but must be split up in the string.   I'm using backbone for a reasonably complicated form.   I want to run a very large number (~30000) of jobs with Sun Grid Engine. I can theoretically, perform 30000 times the "qsub" command to submit jobs. However, I am afraid that will be too much.   I am trying to implement a type of slider using jquery. However this question is about the CSS involved in trying to achieve the functionality. My site design occupies a central column of width 960px. Within this layout there is a central element, that I wish to slide right, on click of a "next" button, and at the same time, another element of the same class slides in from the left to occupy the space vacated. I have drawn a diagram of what I am trying to achieve. In this diagram the red blocks are the element I want to slide in and out, it is grouped by a div which moves left to produce the effect using jQuery I have 2 main questions: How do I get the correct margin values, given that the browser window width can vary and that all elements that are not the current item should be offscreen? 2.If the user were to resize the margins could be dynamically altered based on the values returned using the jQuery resize() event. Or is there a neater quicker better way of doing it using pure CSS?
