• "Exception: msg 'axis2:null', not-found" when using a suds client with an axis2 server

  I am writing a Suds (Python) SOAP client for an Axis2 server I have no control over. Suds chokes on the WSDL file with the following exception: File "site-packages/suds/wsdl.py", line 494, in resolve raise Exception("msg '%s', not-found" % op.input) Exception: msg 'axis2:null', not-found This is the WSDL file (I have replaced the hostnames with localhost).   In thread WatiN in Visual Studio 2008 - second test method fails (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/679347/watin-in-visual-studio-2008-second-test-method-fails) there is a good solution with IEStaticInstanceHelper (original answer Reusing an IE instance in VS test, sources [http://cid-7a759edaf62c1f79.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/WatiNExamples/Using%20watin%20with%20visual%20studio%20test.zip]), but when ClassCleanup fires it fails on AttachToIE. As result IEXPLORAR remain running. What is the problem? Of course it is possible to just kill the process like this: // Id of IEXPLORAR _ie.ProcessID Process.GetProcessById(_processId).Kill(); this._ie = null; But I don't really like this way... Any ideas?

  WPF Experts - I am trying to add buttons below my custom listbox and also have the scroll bar go to the bottom of the control. Only the items should move and not the buttons.   I'm trying to move a control from one parent to another (if this will work I'm not quite sure). I can get a hold of the control that I want to move. Here is my code: public void MoveElement(UIElement uiElement) { var element = ((FrameworkElement)uiElement).Parent; //TODO:Remove from parent myControl.Children.Add(uiElement); } When I hit the last statment an ArgumentException is thrown stating "Specified Visual is already a child of another Visual or the root of a CompositionTarget." The strange thing is that Parent is returning null. How do locate the parent? Will this even work?

  Hi, I have the following problem: the application is using the custom itemscontrol called ToolBox. The elements of a toolbox are called toolboxitems and are custom contentcontrol. Now, the toolbox stores a number of images that are retrieved from a database and displayed. For that I use a datatemplate inside the toolbox control. However, when I try to drag and drop the elements, I don't get the image object but the database component. • Progress gauge in status bar, using Cody Precord's ProgressStatusBar

  Hi. I am attempting to create a progress gauge in the status bar for my application, and I'm using the example in Cody Precord's wxPython 2.8 Application Development Cookbook. I've reproduced it below. For now I simply wish to show the gauge and have it pulse when the application is busy, so I assume I need to use the Start/StopBusy() methods. Problem is, none of it seems to work, and the book doesn't provide an example of how to use the class. In the __init__ of my frame I create my status bar like so: self.statbar = status.ProgressStatusBar( self ) self.SetStatusBar( self.statbar ) Then, in the function which does all the work, I have tried things like: self.GetStatusBar().SetRange( 100 ) self.GetStatusBar().SetProgress( 0 ) self.GetStatusBar().StartBusy() self.GetStatusBar().Run() # work done here self.GetStatusBar().StopBusy() And several combinations and permutations of those commands, but nothing happens, no gauge is ever shown. The work takes several seconds, so it's not because the gauge simply disappears again too quickly for me to notice. I can get the gauge to show up by removing the self.prog.Hide() line from Precord's __init__ but it still doesn't pulse and simply disappears never to return once work has finished the first time. • OpenCV 2.0 C++ API using imshow: returns unhandled exception and "bad-flag"

  I'm trying to use the new OpenCV 2.0 API in MS Visual C++ 2008 and wrote this simple program: cv::Mat img1 = cv::imread("image.jpg",1); cv::namedWindow("My Window", CV_WINDOW_AUTOSIZE); cv::imshow("My Window", img1); Visual Studio returnes an unhandled exception and the Console returns: OpenCV Error: bad flag (parameter or structure field) (Unrecognized or unsupported array type) in unknown function, file ..\..\..\..\ocv\opencv\src\cxcore\cxarray.cpp, line 2376 The image is not displayed. Furthermore the window "My Window" has a strange caption: "ÌÌÌÌMy Window", which is not dependent on the name. The "old" C API using commands like cvLoadImage, cvNamedWindow or cvShowImage works without any problem for the same image file. I tried a lot of different stuff without success. • How to parse invalid HTML with Perl?

  I maintain a database of articles with HTML formatting. Unfortunately the editors who wrote articles didn't know proper HTML, so they often have written stuff like: <div class="highlight"><html><head></head><body><p>Note that ...</p></html></div> I tried using HTML::TreeBuilder to parse this HTML but after parsing it and dumping the resulting tree, all the elements between <div class="highlight">...</div> are gone. I'm left with just <div class="highlight"></div>. The editors often have also done things like: <div class="article"><style>@font-face { font-family: "Cambria"; }</style>Article starts here</div> Parsing this with HTML::TreeBuilder results in empty <div class="article"></div> again. Any ideas how to approach this broken HTML and actually make sense out of it?

• How do you debug Silverlight applications with Chrome AND hit breakpoints?

  I am using Visual Studio 2010 to create a Silverlight 4 application. I set a breakpoint in my code-behind, start the debug session from Visual Studio, and unfortunately, my breakpoint never gets hit. So, I eventually I tried setting my default browser to Internet Explorer ... and lo and behold ... my breakpoint gets suddenly hit. Is Chrome a supported browser for debugging Silverlight applications? If so, what am I missing in order to get this to work? Or, is Internet Explorer the only supported browser when it comes to debugging?

• Using WPFPerf to profile a WPF 4.0 application doesn't show me any information

  I am trying to use WPFPerf to profile a WPF 4.0 application (I have the latest WPFPerf that should work on WPF 4.0 aps). I start the tool Visual Profiler from WPFPerf, I start my aplication, but after that nothing happens and the element tree from the Visual Profiler is empty. No other error message is shown. Can anyone tell me what am I not doint right? As an additional information, when I try to analize my .exe assembly or any other assembly from my application, I get a BadFormatException saying that the assembly was build with a newer version of .NET. From the download page http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=191420 I see that this version of WPFPerf should be ok for my app

• UITableView backgroundColor always gray on iPad

  Hi, When I set the backgroundColor for my UITableView it works fine on iPhone (device and simulator) but NOT on the iPad simulator. Instead I get a light gray background for any color I set including groupTableViewBackgroundColor. Steps to reproduce: Create a new navigation-based project. Open RootViewController.xib and set the table view style to "Grouped". Add this responder to the RootViewController:- (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; self.view.backgroundColor = [UIColor blackColor]; } Select Simulator SDK 3.2, build and run. You will get a black background (device and simulator). Select your target in the project tree. Click on Project : Upgrade Current Target for iPad. Build and run. You will get a light gray background. Revert the table view style to Plain and you will get a black background. Thanks for your help!

• Telerik RadEditor for MOSS - How do I suppress min-width inline CSS?

  I'm having an issue with the RadEditor for MOSS, I'm really baffled as to the source of this issue. I tried using Firebug to find where any min-* CSS settings are happening and search came up empty, but I know it's happening because the downloaded page markup does not have that inline CSS. I believe that one of the Telerik control emitted Javascripts is what is adding inline CSS style to the top level div of the editor, namely min-height, min-width. This is causing layout issues on my page. • WPF ComboBox Binding breaks when using ControlTemplate

  I have a WPF ComboBox that has been working fine until I recently created a ControlTemplate for it to enable me to change the color of the DropDown arrow. The ComboBox still works correctly except the Bound Text value now just shows the name of the Business Object rather than the bound value. I guess that binding like Text="{Binding Path=CaseDateRange}" no longer works when using a ControlTemplate, yet the ItemsSource binding on the dropdown seems to still work fine. Can anyone offer some help with how I need to change my binding when using a ControlTemplate. We decided to use web services to achieve this and now i just want to know what diffuculties may i face with? I have URL of WSDL of the Web Service, will it be enough for me to adding web reference and giving the WSDL's URL? How will i authenticate? And Will it be the same with consuming normal web services? Also i wonder is there anybody that can share a .NET dll that can be used in visual studio 2008? There are some articles relating how to create such a dll using SAP .Net Connector and visual studio 2003 but i could not find anybody sharing the resulting dll under their post. Thanks...

• Trouble switching to the beta ajaxcontroltoolkit

  I wanted to switch to the beta version to see if it fixes a problem I have been having, so I downloaded it and put two dll files into my bin folder. I deleted the old references to these files in visual studio, and re-added them. When I run my program I get an error: Microsoft JScript runtime error: AjaxControlToolkit requires ASP.NET Ajax 4.0 scripts. Ensure the correct version of the scripts are referenced. If you are using an ASP.NET ScriptManager, switch to the AjaxScriptManager in System.Web.Ajax.dll, or use the ToolkitScriptManager in AjaxControlToolkit.dll. I can't figure out how to fix this. I have the new System.Web.Ajax.dll added to visual studio, but I can't see any AjaxScriptManager anywhere... Any ideas?

I found that the vcbuild.exe always call the "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Csc.exe /noconfig .." the problem is how can I change the Framework version to v3.5? I found my project works fine with the v3.5 but it's broken in the v2.0.50727. I try to use msbuild.exe instead of vcbuild.exe, everything goes well, I just don't understand how can I make it with the vcbuild.exe? win7+vs2005+vs2008 installed.
