    My aim is to select all the files named with MANI.txt which is present in their respective folders and then load path of the MANI.txt files different location in table. After I load the path in the table,I used to select needed path and modifiying those. To load the MANI.txt files taking more time,because it may present more than 30 times in my workspace or etc. until load the files I want to give alarm to the user with help of ProgessBar.Once the list size has been populated I need to disable ProgressBar. Could anyone please help me out on this? import java.awt.*; import javax.swing.*; import javax.swing.table.*; import java.awt.event.*; import java.io.BufferedReader; import java.io.File; import java.io.FileNotFoundException; import java.io.FileReader; import java.io.FileWriter; import java.io.IOException; import java.io.PrintWriter; public class JTableHeaderCheckBox extends JFrame implements ActionListener { Object colNames[] = {"", "Path"}; Object[][] data = {}; DefaultTableModel dtm; JTable table; JButton but; java.util.List list; public void buildGUI() { dtm = new DefaultTableModel(data,colNames); table = new JTable(dtm); table.setAutoResizeMode(JTable.AUTO_RESIZE_OFF); int vColIndex = 0; TableColumn col = table.getColumnModel().getColumn(vColIndex); int width = 10; col.setPreferredWidth(width); int vColIndex1 = 1; TableColumn col1 = table.getColumnModel().getColumn(vColIndex1); int width1 = 500; col1.setPreferredWidth(width1); JFileChooser chooser = new JFileChooser(); //chooser.setCurrentDirectory(new java.io.File(".")); chooser.setDialogTitle("Choose workSpace Path"); chooser.setFileSelectionMode(JFileChooser.DIRECTORIES_ONLY); chooser.setAcceptAllFileFilterUsed(false); if (chooser.showOpenDialog(this) == JFileChooser.APPROVE_OPTION){ System.out.println("getCurrentDirectory(): " + chooser.getCurrentDirectory()); System.out.println("getSelectedFile() : " + chooser.getSelectedFile().getAbsolutePath()); } String path= chooser.getSelectedFile().getAbsolutePath(); File folder = new File(path); Here I need progress bar GatheringFiles ob = new GatheringFiles(); list=ob.returnlist(folder); for(int x = 0; x < list.size(); x++) { dtm.addRow(new Object[]{new Boolean(false),list.get(x).toString()}); } JPanel pan = new JPanel(); JScrollPane sp = new JScrollPane(table); TableColumn tc = table.getColumnModel().getColumn(0); tc.setCellEditor(table.getDefaultEditor(Boolean.class)); tc.setCellRenderer(table.getDefaultRenderer(Boolean.class)); tc.setHeaderRenderer(new CheckBoxHeader(new MyItemListener())); but = new JButton("REMOVE"); JFrame f = new JFrame(); pan.add(sp); but.move(650, 50); but.addActionListener(this); pan.add(but); f.add(pan); f.setSize(700, 100); f.pack(); f.setLocationRelativeTo(null); f.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); f.setVisible(true); } class MyItemListener implements ItemListener { public void itemStateChanged(ItemEvent e) { Object source = e.getSource(); if (source instanceof AbstractButton == false) return; boolean checked = e.getStateChange() == ItemEvent.SELECTED; for(int x = 0, y = table.getRowCount(); x < y; x++) { table.setValueAt(new Boolean(checked),x,0); } } } public static void main (String[] args) { SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable(){ public void run(){ new JTableHeaderCheckBox().buildGUI(); } }); } public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub if(e.getSource()==but) { System.err.println("table.getRowCount()"+table.getRowCount()); for(int x = 0, y = table.getRowCount(); x < y; x++) { if("true".equals(table.getValueAt(x, 0).toString())) { System.err.println(table.getValueAt(x, 0)); System.err.println(list.get(x).toString()); delete(list.get(x).toString()); } } } } public void delete(String a) { String delete = "C:"; System.err.println(a); try { File inFile = new File(a); if (!inFile.isFile()) { System.out.println("Parameter is not an existing file"); return; } //Construct the new file that will later be renamed to the original filename.   • PHP APC - Why is loading cached array op codes slow?

    - by Aaron Kreider
I'm using APC to reduce my loading time for my PHP files. My files load very fast, except for one file where I define more than 100 arrays. This 270 kb file takes 200 ms to load. The rest of the files are full of objects, methods, and functions. I'm wondering: does OP code caching not work as well for arrays? My APC cache should be big enough to handle all of my classes. Currently 40% of my cache is free. My hit rate is 99%. apc.shm_size=32 M apc.max_file_size = 1M apc.shm_segments= 1 APC 3.1.6 I'm using PHP 5.2, Apache 2, and Windows Vista.

  • Service locator for generics

    - by vittore
Hi everyone, I have say a dozen types T which inherit from EntityObject and IDataObject. I have generic the following interface IDataManager<T> where T : EntityObject, IDataObject ... I have also base class for data managers BaseDataManager<T> : IDataManager<T> where T : EntityObject, IDataObject .... And i have particular classes public class Result : EntityObject, IDataObject .... public class ResultDataManager : BaseDataManager<Result> ... I want to implement service locator, which will return instance of IDataManager<T> for T But I stucked how to implement it in a neat way without a lot of castings. Any ideas?

  • External resources in Flash

    - by Eric
Hey all. I'm working on an application that was originally intended for HTML, but I've recently concluded that the best thing to do for my purposes is to do it in Flash instead. One of the big things I need is to be able to bring in movieclips from external files and add them to my main movie at runtime (dynamic number of elements, skinning, etc.) Don't need full-on code for this, but I could use some assistance in tracking down the resources to learn how to do these things successfully. Tutorials, best practices… The usual suspects. I've been using Flash for a while now, and used to do this pretty easily in AS2, but I've had some hiccups using classes and addchild in an earlier attempt, so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

  • PHP MVC correct usage

    - by Ratt
What is the correct (recommended method) for passing information to a view in a MVC environment. Currently we use Zend Framework, where we write classes to handle specific things EG a Book class with a save and load method to retrieve info from the DB, which is called from a particular nameAction(). What I would like to know is what is the best way to pass this information to the view, in some cases we do $this-view-book_name = $book-getBookName(); and in other cases we do the following $this-view-book = $book; OR $this-view-books = Book_Manager::getAllBooks(); and then access the object(s) properties in the view. Information on-line suggests we try limit what access a view has to information, i.e pass them only what they need and in some cases people say its ok to pass stuff through as long as nothing is done to that information. • sbt: "test" works "test:run" not

    - by Martin
I try to establish a build pipeline on Jenkins with a Play(2.0.2) project. As I want to just build the sources once and use the classes for downstream builds, I now have created a "compile"-job, that runs "sbt test:compile". That works so far. The next job should then just run the compiled tests. If I use "sbt test" it works as expected, but compiles the sources again. But if I try to run "sbt test:run" it says: [info] Loading project definition from ~/myproject/project [info] Set current project to myproject (in build file: ~/myproject/) java.lang.RuntimeException: No main class detected. at scala.sys.package$.error(package.scala:27) [error] {file:~/myproject/test:run: No main class detected. The same happens locally. I can run "sbt test" but not "sbt test:run". Same error. Is there someone who can point me to the right direction?

  • How do you access config outside of a request in CherryPy?

    - by OrganicPanda
I've got a webapp running on CherryPy that needs to access the CherryPy config files before a user creates a request. The docs say to use: host = cherrypy.request.app.config['database']['host'] But that won't work outside of a user request. You can also use the application object when you start the app like so: ... application = cherrypy.tree.mount(root, '/', app_conf) host = application.config['database']['host'] ... But I can see no way of accessing 'application' from other classes outside of a user request. I ask because our app looks at several databases and we set them up when the app starts rather than on user request. I have a feeling this would be useful in other places too; so is there any way to store a reference to 'application' somewhere or access it through the CherryPy API?

  • How to access project files from NUnit tests

    - by Daren Thomas
I have some Tests that I run with ReSharpers "Run All Tests from Solution" feature. One of the classes being tested has a dependency on a file in the same folder as the assembly containing it. This file is copied to the output directory via MSBuild (set "Copy To Output Directory" to "Copy always"). Problem: The tests are not being run from the normal assembly output directory, but instead some temporary location in my user profile. Therefore, I don't really know where to look for the file - the test runner does not copy it there. Can I force it to?

  • How do I draw a gradated boarder on a polygon using GDI+ via C#/WinForms?

    - by AndyJ
Hi, I have polygons of various shapes and sizes. They have a solid fill and currently a solid border. I would like to give the polygons a gradient on their edge to soften them. So far I've tried using a Pen with a LinearGradientBrush and whilst the effect it produces is very interesting it's most defintly not what I want ;) I've looked through the System.Drawing.Drawing2D namespace but there didnt seem to be any other classes that would be applicable for this purpose. I've had a search around and the articles that i can find are mostly about creating boarders for rectangles, which are mush easier, or are irrelivent. So to summerise, does anyone have a way of drawing a gradient boarder on a polygon using GDI+?

  • Visual Studio add-in for performance benchmarking

    - by chiccodoro
I'd like to measure the performance of some code blocks in my c# winforms application. In particular I want to measure performance regression/improvement after some restructuring of the code. So long I've seen the System.Diagnostics.Stopwatch. However, I want to avoid writing measuring code into my classes, I would rather prefer to separate measuring from actual code. As for debugging, you can set breakpoints on several code lines and "jump" from one to the next by "Continue Execution", I imagine something similar for measuring: Mark to lines of code and make Visual Studio display the time elapsing from one to the next. Is there any feature/add-in in that direction?

  • Stable Scala 2.8 plugin

    - by Felix
Does anyone know if there exists a stable version of the Scala plugin for eclipse, running with Scala 2.8 (any version of scala 2.8...RC or beta or whatever). I like the fact that it compiles 10 times faster than the netbeans plugin, but it is very unstable, and auto-imports doesnt work. Also, sometimes it cant find classes when I hit "run", then I have to clean it again. This is with some random nightly build of the 2.8 eclipse scala plugin. Is there a stable version? If so, can you link me to it? Thanks in advance :)

  • Java: is Exception class thread-safe?

    - by Vilius Normantas
As I understand, Java's Exception class is certainly not immutable (methods like initCause and setStackTrace give some clues about that). So is it at least thread-safe? Suppose one of my classes has a field like this: private final Exception myException; Can I safely expose this field to multiple threads? I'm not willing to discuss concrete cases where and why this situation could occur. My question is more about the principle: can I tell that a class which exposes field of Exception type is thread-safe? Another example: class CustomException extends Exception { ... } Is this class thread-safe?

  • Automatically minifying attribute/element names when using XmlSerializer

    - by frou
When serializing a C# class using XmlSerializer, the attributes/elements representing the properties of the class will have the same names as they do in the source code. I know you can override this by doing like so: [XmlAttribute("num")] public int NumberOfThingsThatAbcXyz { get; set; } I'd like the generated XML for my classes to be as compact as possible, but obviously still capable of being automatically deserialized on the other side. Is there a way to have these names minified as much as possible without having to manually think of and annotate everything with a short string? The resultant XML being easily human readable isn't a concern.

  • In what package should a "Settings" class be?

    - by Tom
I've in the middle of building an application but found myself too easily creating new packages without keeping the project's structure in mind. Now, I'm trying to redo the whole project structure on paper first. I am using a Settings class with public properties, accessed as settings for several other classes around the project. Now, since this Settings class applies for the whole project, I am unsure if it should be packaged and if so, in what kind of package should it exist? Or should it be in the root (the default package) with the main application class? I've been thinking about putting it in my utils package, then again I don't think it really is an utlity. Any strategies on how to decide on such package structure for example for a Settings class?

  • Why doesn't ConcurrentQueue<T>.Count return 0 when IsEmpty == true?

    - by DanTup - Danny Tuppeny
I was reading about the new concurrent collection classes in .NET 4 on James Michael Hare's blog, and the page talking about ConcurrentQueue<T> says: It’s still recommended, however, that for empty checks you call IsEmpty instead of comparing Count to zero. I'm curious - if there is a reason to use IsEmpty instead of comparing Count to 0, why does the class not internally check IsEmpty and return 0 before doing any of the expensive work to count? E.g.: public int Count { get { // Check IsEmpty so we can bail out quicker if (this.IsEmpty) return 0; // Rest of "expensive" counting code } } It seems strange to suggest this if it could be "fixed" so easily with no side-effects?

  • Is there a way to hide annotations in Netbeans or Eclipse?

    - by Boden
Maybe a dumb question, but it would be nice if there was a way to hide or collapse Java annotations when viewing source in Netbeans (or Eclipse). I'm not finding an option and a quick search didn't turn anything up. Is this one of those "you should never want to do that, code folding is a sin!" things? Personally I'd find it useful for annotated entity classes. All the hibernate / etc annotations are just fluff that I never look at once my mapping is working fine. It's similar to imports, really. (Yes, I can use XML instead of annotations, which I might start doing. But I was just wondering...)

  • python decorator to add function to list in current scope

    - by AlexH
Goal: Make a decorator which can modify the scope that it is used in. If it worked: class Blah(): # or perhaps class Blah(ParentClassWhichMakesThisPossible) def one(self): pass @decorated def two(self): pass Blah.decorated ["two"] Why? I essentially want to write classes which can maintain specific dictionaries of methods, so that I can retrieve lists of available methods of different types on a per class basis. errr..... I want to do this: class RuleClass(ParentClass): @rule def blah(self): pass @rule def kapow(self): pass def shazam(self): class OtherRuleClass(ParentClass): @rule def foo(self): pass def bar(self): pass RuleClass.rules.keys() ["blah", "kapow"] OtherRuleClass.rules.keys() ["foo"]

  • tools for testing vim plugins

    - by intuited
I'm looking for some tools for testing vim scripts. Either vim scripts that do unit/functional testing, or classes for some other library (eg Python's unittest module) that make it convenient to run vim with parameters that cause it to do some tests on its environment, and determine from the output whether or not a given test passed. I'm aware of a couple of vim scripts that do unit testing, but they're sort of vaguely documented and may or may not actually be useful: vim-unit: purports "To provide vim scripts with a simple unit testing framework and tools" first and only version (v0.1) was released in 2004 documentation doesn't mention whether or not it works reliably, other than to state that it is "fare [sic] from finished". unit-test.vim: This one also seems pretty experimental, and may not be particularly reliable. May have been abandoned or back-shelved: last commit was in 2009-11 ( 6 months ago) No tagged revisions have been created (ie no releases) So information from people who are using one of those two existent modules, and/or links to other, more clearly usable, options, are very welcome.

  • Django comments form validation, check if the comment is from authenticated user

    - by Headcrab
I wanted to add reCaptcha to the comment form, but only for non-authenticated users. I've created my own comments app, using reCaptcha more or less according to this post, except that I don't have any (explicit) view function to post the comment, but instead I check captcha as a part of form validation process. Everything works fine so far. Now, how do I disable reCaptcha for a logged in user? Removing all reCaptcha-related fields in the template is no problem, but how do I validate the form, not checking captcha if the comment if from an authenticated user? Alternatively, is there a way to use two different comment form classes, depending on whether the user is authenticated or not?

  • Comparison of collection datatypes in C#

    - by Joel in Gö
Does anyone know of a good overview of the different C# collection types? I am looking for something showing which basic operations such as Add, Remove, RemoveLast etc. are supported, and giving the relative performance. It would be particularly interesting for the various generic classes - and even better if it showed eg. if there is a difference in performance between a List<T> where T is a class and one where T is a struct. A start would be a nice cheat-sheet for the abstract data structures, comparing Linked Lists, Hash Tables etc. etc. Thanks!

  • Python fCGI + sqlAlchemy = malformed header from script. Bad header=FROM tags : index.py

    - by crgwbr
I'm writing an Fast-CGI application that makes use of sqlAlchemy & MySQL for persistent data storage. I have no problem connecting to the DB and setting up ORM (so that tables get mapped to classes); I can even add data to tables (in memory). But, as soon as I query the DB (and push any changes from memory to storage) I get a 500 Internal Server Error and my error.log records malformed header from script. Bad header=FROM tags : index.py, when tags is the table name. Any idea what could be causing this? Also, I don't think it matters, but its a Linux development server talking to an off-site (across the country) MySQL server.
