    I know that I can't use that myView.frame.origin.x = 25.0; that I have to use instead CGRect myFrame = myView.frame; myFrame.origin.x = 25.0; myView.frame = myFrame; And I'm doing it all the time (f.e. in animations), but I don't know why I must do it that way. I would like to fill that gap in my understanding. Can someone explain ?

  • Showing fields as readonly in Edit Form of List Item in SharePoint

    I have a list which has 5 columns in it. Some of these fields help the user fill in the data but I don't want the user to modify these fields. I have tried changing the field to readonly but that ends up hiding the field completely from the form. Is there a way to get the field to render out to the form as just text? Maybe I need to use javascript to disable the fields programmatically - would prefer not to go down that route though..

    Part of the app I'm making requires the user to fill in a multi-page form, the contents of which will be saved locally (perhaps using Core Data). Are there any best practices for this? This form just includes text fields. I guess the options are UITextFields, or perhaps a UIWebView, with the fields as part of an html form? Are there are any best practices, or design patterns, which are good for this kind of thing?

    Getting the following error when trying to open a word document with macros to fill in the form fields: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Security\AccessVBOM. The user opening the word document does not have admin rights and the AccessVBOM flag is either not available or set to zero. I can set the flag for the HKCU (Current user) programmaticallybut cannot change setting for inunder HKLM . Please advise how can we enable the trust for the VBA project programmatically. Thx Kumar

    I dont know what it is called but you can see on this page http://carleypelletier.deviantart.com/gallery/#_browse if you click on a category you'll get a list and if there is a subcategory there will be a at the end. When clicking this the menu text moves left off the menu and the new categories are in. How do i do this type of menu? i'm open to any libs. It would be nice if i can fill it using json or a config file.

  • A few problems with Delphi involving Mail Merge, SQL + Databases.

    My first problem is with mail merge. I have created a a Data File and a table, yet I am not able to fill my table with information from my Data File. The << just seems to be inserted after wherever the cursor is on the page, which is not where the table is. All that is entered into the actual table is a '59'. Therefore I think I either need to to change the code or be able to move the cursor. This only happens on one unit and it happens when I add a column with any name anywhere in the table. I know that is vague but I can't seem to narrow down the problem any further than that.     What happens to a dataset when your done using it. For example if I create and fill a dataset for a grid, when the user leaves that page or logs out I assume the dataset is still in memory? Does each user get their own instance of the dataset? In other words, if 2 users hit the same page that uses a grid are they each served their own instance of the dataset from server memory?
