  • Extract ODBC Data Source information

    I've gone through ODBC API searching for a function that can extract information of a data source. The closest I found is SQLDataSources that enumerates all data sources and gives you the DSN name/description. But specifically I would to extract the TNS service name of an Oracle data source. This property appears in the registry under ServerName but I found no way to access it through an API.

    I'm looking to extract key pieces of information from the following website to simplify the signup process. More or less I want to build a quick import script that will grab the following: 1) Username 2) Type (Model / Photographer) 3) Age 4) Sex 5) City, State, Zip 6) Email 7) Photos I will then take all of this data and add it to join form / push the photos through a manipulation script. Any ideas?

  • Show information over image on rollover

    I want to be able to show information (HTML basically) over an image when the mouse rolls over the image... I know there is a .hover() jQuery function but am unsure how to use it to get the desired effect. Ideally when a user hovers over an image it would "grey out" (e.g. layer of 50% opacity black) with some HTML like a title etc etc. Can someone point me in the right direction or provide sample code Thanks

  • Get information from a higher class?

    I don't know really how to word the question so please bear with me... I have 3 classes: Server, Database, and Table. Each class has a "Name" property. How I want it to work is that each server can have multiple databases and each database can have multiple tables. So in the Server class I have this property. Private _databases As List(Of Database) Public Property Databases() As List(Of Database) Get Return _databases End Get Set(ByVal value As List(Of Database)) _databases = value End Set End Property And I have something similar in the Database class for the tables. This works fine now because I can do something like this to get all the databases in the server. For Each db In s.Databases 's being the server object Debug.Print(db.Name) Next I would like to expand these classes. I want the server class to handle all the connection information and I would like the other classes to use the server class's connection information in them. For example, I setup a server class and set the connection string to the server. Then I want the database class to use serverclass.connectionstring property to connect to the server and get a list of all the databases. But I want to keep that code in the database class. How can I do this? I've attached some code of what I want to do. The web service should provide a consolidated view of the data. All the SQL Server Express instances have the same DB schema. I was initially planning to use SQL server replication however as I understand it, SQL Server 2008 Express cannot be used as a publisher. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

After the user makes some selection and hits the "run" button I pass off the processing to a dll written in C# but what I want is a way to periodically send information back to the client so they can see what's going on like how many records have been processed and things like that.     I want to show a MPMoviePlayerController in a view controller and let the user toggle full screen with the default controls.     Hi all: This is uni homework so sorry about :my password protected url Please enter usersame as "uts" and password as "10479475", without the wrapper quotes. It it almost completed, please follow simple steps to see where my problem dwells: step1: click on any continent highlighted on world map; step2: click on any city marked on continent map; step3: enter quantity ranging from 1 to 6 into the upper-right table; step4 : there you go, in the table below, once row is equal or greater than 3, then the size of table starts to "overlap" on top of the footer section and continues to grow, which is not what I want. I want to achieve the effect that the table size has a limited max-height, so once actual height exceeds the threshold, then I can have a vertical scroll bar so to "stack up" my table and not to break the overall structure. It turns out that my lazy initial design now gets myself stuck in a problem... Any suggestion and hint on how to get this?

  • iPad SplitView changes main navigation bar color

    Weird problem: After rotating my app to portrait, picking the toolbar item and exposing the uipopovercontroller, if I rotate back to landscape, the UINavigationController on the right side (objectAtIndex:0 of the SplitView) changes the color of the navigation bar. I am not sure why. I have it set in Interface Builder to be barStyle = UIBarStyleBlackOpaque; It turns silver after it returns to landscape mode. This only happens if I rotate it to portrait, create the popover, and select something in the navigation controller, which pushes another tableViewController. Even setting the properties in the viewDidLoad method does nothing. Anyone have an idea?

And also I need to add some other jquery to prevent other click during the progress is it possible ?

  • iphone tab bar controller and core data.

    Ok bit of a newbie type question. I want to use Core Data, together with Tab and Navigation controllers. In XCode if I create a Navigation Based Application I get the option to choose Core Data. Whereas If I create a Tab Bar Application I don't get the choice. I understand that Tab Bars display view controllers so it kinda makes sense. However given that by default it sticks the basic Core Data code in the Application delegate I don't see why this isn't offered. At the moment I'm creating the two projects and cutting and pasting between them. Does this omission in XCode seem weird to you? Is it some sort of oversight? Thanks, Matt

  • Outputting a bar chart to an iPhone application?

    Right, I really want to output a Bar Graph to an Obj-C iPhone application - now I may be missing a vital SDK class or something; but right now my solution is to embed a WebView and inside that have a JQuery/Flot based graph - not totally ideal I know! Just wondering if anybody has any other creative solutions or whether a WebView/AJAX solution is the way to go? (For the record; my data source will be figures returned from an external source - i.e downloaded from the internet. So I was even toying with having a PHP Proxy/script do all the work on that, return the figures AND a graph to the application - but then I risk placing extra strain on the server!)
