• How to programmatically answer "Yes" to WebBrowser control security alert

  I am using WebBrowser control to programmatically access a single website, but whenever I login, I receive this certificate security alert: Since I trust that website and since I need to programmatically automate the login as well, this dialog box gets in the way. I searched SO for a solution and found a question similar to mine, but the accepted answer does not work! I defined a static member in the form that contains the WebControl: public static bool ValidateServerCertificate(object sender, X509Certificate certificate, X509Chain chain, SslPolicyErrors sslPolicyErrors) { return true; } In my form's constructor I added: ServicePointManager.ServerCertificateValidationCallback = new RemoteCertificateValidationCallback(ValidateServerCertificate); But that didn't get rid of the certificate security alert. Is there any way to get rid of this warning? Is there an IE equivalent to Firefox's Add Security Exception??? Note: The owner's certificate works perfectly fine (without exhibiting this security alert) with standalone browsers (IE, FF, Chrome, Safari). It only exhibits the problem with the WebBroswer control.

• Why Does the iPad Toolbar Refuse to Reappear When Orientation Changes?

  I have a fullscreen OpenGL iPad app that behaves correctly for all orientation changes. I now want to add a UIToolbar programmatically and while it appears correctly in launch orientation - portrait in the Xcode simulator - it dissapears when the orientation changes to landscape. Change the orientation back to portrait and the Toolbar reapppears. • Recommendations on SharePoint site permission model

  Hi All, I have a SharePoint site which contains a root site and site collection in it. Now there are some sites that inherits permissions from their parent site and some site has their own permission module. Now a user from owner group of root site browses site collection but there are few site which doesn't allow user to view the content of it. Now what I want is general recommendation on when creating a new site in SharePoint what is best possible approach to set site permission. In what case we can inherits permissions from parent site..? In what case we can we us unique permission for a site..? If a site has unique permission set then is it possible to creat a group at root level which has access to all site collection irrespective of site permission model? I want a general recommendation based on above scenario. Any help will be appriciable. Thanks Sachin

• Where can I find a nice .NET Tab Control for free?

  I'm doing this application in C# using the free Krypton Toolkit but the Krypton Navigator is a paid product which is rather expensive for me and this application is being developed on my free time and it will be available to the public for free. So, I'm looking for a free control to integrate better into my Krypton application because the default one doesn't quite fit and it will be different depending on the OS version... Any suggestions? P.S: I know I could owner-draw it but I'm trying not to have that kind of work... I prefer something already done if it exists for free. • Interchanging presentModalViewController and pushViewController

  I am using a sample ViewController that is displayed in the sample program as a presentModalViewController. However, I want to use pushViewController on the UIViewController instead. The problem is that when I switch to pushViewController, the ViewController no displays properly. Functions in the ViewController are called, but I don't see anything. I change back to presentModalViewController and everything works. The question is what do I need to do to make pushViewController work? • Windows Vista, Default Programs API, file format associations, and (un)installers - explosive mix!

  My application is a rather well behaved Windows citizen, so when I ported it to Windows Vista/7 I replaced my custom file format association code with support for the Default Programs API. However I ran into a problem when trying to make uninstaller for my application - there seems to be no way to remove file format associations via Default Programs API. I tried to call IApplicationAssociationRegistration::ClearUserAssociations but it actually removes all associations, including the ones for other applications - completely restoring default state of the OS (which is of course unacceptable). I tried to call IApplicationAssociationRegistration::SetAppAsDefault to return file format associations to the previous "owner" - but it does not help, because my application handles many unique file formats which the OS does not support and there is no previous "owners". And Windows does not allow to pass empty strings to SetAppAsDefault... So what do I do? Any good solutions?

  Hi, I have a button in a view which refuses to work. I've got in working in a blank, default view application from X-Code, but in none of my applications will it work, instead it gives me the following error. Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '* -[UIViewController showVicInfo:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x3c084f0' The debugger isn't any help either. I've made sure that I hook up the button to the file's owner (not the other way around) as well. Below is the code for the action. • Change the null placeholder in a Cocoa binding?

  Is there a way to change (for the purpose of localization) the null placeholder in a binding in Cocoa? The bindings are set up in Interface Builder for a popup button. The two-way nature of the bindings as set up in IB is needed, so doing it programmatically is not really appealing. I am aware that the standard way of handling localizations of a nib file is by making one for each language, but since this is the only difference in the whole nib file between the language versions, it seems a bit excessive for a single string. If there is a way to modify a binding created in IB, I was thinning about doing it in the file's owner's awakeFromNib method.

When we integrate Rational ClearQuest and Rational ClearCase, the activities will be coming from the Rational ClearQuest. Now since the implementation of Rational ClearQuest will take time due to the process, we are thinking of removing the activity creation from the developer side. We are thinking of making the admin create the activities for each developer. Now I have a few concerns, If the admin creates the activities and changes the owner for the activity and the group using the protect command, Is it enough? Would this activity used by other developer too? Since activity is a work can this be shared? I need some clarity on this. Thanks.

  I have these two pieces of code. • bitmap button not displaying in 3D style

  Hi, I want to display on my dialog, a bitmap button. I am using the below code CImage image; hr = image.Load(_T("myimage.png")); // just change extension to load jpg bitmap.Attach(image.Detach()); m_button.ModifyStyle(0,BS_BITMAP); m_button.SetBitmap(bitmap); This way bitmap is correctly displayed on button, but the button is not displayed in 3D style as normal buttons would look.   I've recently been asked to completely rewrite and redesign a web site and the owner of the company has stressed that he wants the site to be made with the latest and greatest technology available, but to avoid additional costs. As of right now, I'm torn between looking into a CMS implementation and writing a new implementation with MVC. The site is mainly brochure ware, but will need to allow the visitors to submit some data through forms. There are quite a few lists and content features that are dynamic and should be treated as such. Since ASP.NET MVC is new, I don't want to bastardize the implementation if I go that way... Any recommendations on best implementation practices for a MVC website? Also, has anyone had their MVC implementation hosted anywhere that they would recommend?

• Why does [NSOutlineView clickedRow] always return -1?

  I have a fairly pedestrian non-editable NSOutlineView setup. In the bindings for the outline view, I have set the binding to my file's owner (MyDocument FWIW) with a selector of outlineViewWasDoubleClicked The method exists and is called, but when I call -clickedRow it consistently returns -1 rather than the row number of the row that I double clicked to trigger the method. My _outlineView is an IBOutlet and I've verified that it is hooked up correctly by using -selectedRow for the method rather than -clickedRow (I would rather use -clickedRow though because it seems unintuitive for the user to have a row selected, double click another row to do something with it and have the method triggered with the row they had selected.) My best guess right now is that the -clickedRow value is getting cleared out before my method fires, but I don't know where or what might be gobbling it up. Thanks in advance for any help.

• problem with IBoutlet UITableView connection

  Hi,I'm having a problem with IBoutlet UITableView connection. It seems that the IBOutlet isn't connected to the TaleView. I set the delgate and the datasource to the files owner and set the iboutlet to the tableview in the nib. The tableview is well initialized. I just want to do some reloadData and it's not working. I try to do some deselectRow just to see if it isn't reloadData problem but it doesn't deselect so i assume that the iboutlet isn't associated with my tableview. This table view is in a viewcontroller that is called as a modalViewController. • In TFS, is there a maximum amount of workspaces which can be used for a user?

  I'm currently in the process of creating a bunch of new build scripts for our platform. Things went okay until I encountered the following error: D:\TFS\WorkingDir\BuildType\TFSBuild.proj(173,5): error MSB4018: Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Client.WorkspaceNotFoundException: TF14061: The workspace BUILDMACHINENAME_9;BUILDMACHINENAME\TFSService does not exist. When I take a look at the list of workspaces (with Team Foundation Sidekicks) I see there are a bunch of BUILDMACHINENAME_xxx workspaces, where xxx is a number ranging from 1 to 8. What I'm thinking is that TFS reaches some kind of limit (10 probably) of the amount of workspaces it can create for a certain owner, and thus fails to create a workspace for the build automatically. Can this be the case? Anyone else encountered this?

• NSButton argument binding doesn't pass argument?

  I have a NSCollectionView with a NSButton in the collection view item. The xib's owner is set to my BatchListViewController and the controller has the method @interface BatchListViewController : NSViewController -(IBAction)another_click; @end I set the binding for target to be: This works fine but I also want to send the underlying model to the another_click method. According to the Apple docs, The objects specified in the argument bindings are passed as parameters to the selector specified in the target binding when the NSButton is clicked. So I set the binding for argument to be: This runs fine if I keep the selector method's signature the same another_click: but if I change it to -(IBAction)another_click:(id)arg; I get the dreaded error: BatchListViewController another_click]: unrecognized selector sent to instance What am I doing wrong? Apple's docs say this is possible but I haven't been able to find an example of this working. Even other SO threads are saying this isn't possible but that can't be right.

• Sequel Migration not running up?

  Having some trouble with the Migrations in Sequel and could use another set of eyes. I am running a migration that looks ok but no table is created. It is definitely connecting because I can see the schema_info table has been created. -M 0/1 changes the version as you would expect but still no table. • How do you unit test web page authorization using ASP.NET MVC?

  Let's say you have a profile page that can only be accessed by the owner of that profile. This profile page is located at: User/Profile/{userID} Now, I imagine in order to prevent access to this page by other users, you could structure your UserController class's Profile function to check the current session's identity: HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name If the id matches the one in the url, then you proceed. Otherwise you redirect to some sort of error page. My question is how do you unit test something like this? I'm guessing that you need to use some sort of dependency injection instead of the HttpContext in the controller to do the check on, but I am unclear what the best way to do that is. Any advice would be helpful.

• XIB-instantiated Object's IBOutlet is nil

  I have a XIB set up like in this screenshot: File's owner is my main window controller. The XIB is also in charge of creating an object that serves as the delegate for the MGScopeBar view. As you can see in the screenshot, the scope bar delegate has an IBOutlet for the search field so that it can return it as an extra view as part of the delegate process. The problem I'm having is that when the delegate object is queried for the accessory view, the IBOutlet NSSearchField is nil. I'm fairly certain this has something to do with the order that objects are created, IBOutlets wired, etc, but I'm just a little lost as to where in the process I can expect the search field to exist so that the scope bar delegate can reference it properly. Thanks in advance for any pointers.

• Open-source comment engines

  I'm looking for a solid open-source commenting engine written in PHP. It needs to have workflow/moderation capabilities as well. I've checked into Disqus, and while I like the concept, the site owner's may develop their own login system at a later point, which would have to integrate with the comment system. Also, I'm not sure that they want the comments hosted remotely. Does anyone have any recommendations that I might look into? Alternatively, if you have experience with Disqus, what do you like/dislike about it?

  Launching the android SDK manager from the command line gets me this error and others like: Failed to fetch URL http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/addons_list-1.xml, reason: Failure initializing default SSL context I've done plenty of searches and have forced http instead of https, created an androidtool.cfg file and added the line sdkman.force.http=true permisions for all files in ~/.android are rw r r. I'm calling android logged in as the owner of those files. I am not using a proxy and I have no anti virus running. I just installed fedora 16 and am not sure of any firewalls running by default. I suspect a permissions problem somewhere along the line. any ideas?
