• PHP stream_context_set_option SSL certificate as string

  I've got a weird issue. Basically, I need to do this: $handle = stream_context_create(); stream_context_set_option($handle , 'ssl', 'local_cert', '/tmp/cert'); However. The certificate is not held as a file within the server. Rather it's an encrypted string held in a clustered database environment. So instead of the certificate being a file name pointer, its the physical content of the certificate. So instead of using the file name, I need to specify the content of the certificate instead. For example: $cert = '-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----.... upWbwmdMd61SjNCdtOpZcNW3YmzuT96Fr7GUPiDQ -----END CERTIFICATE-----'; Does anyone have any idea whatsoever how on earth I can do this? I'm scratching my head over this problem, but my gut instinct says it is doable. Thanks in advance everyone!

• Magento My Account Layout XML Problem

  Hi there, I'm having issues getting the customer.xml layout file to work properly for the customer's "my account" pages. The navigation links and the previously ordered items that are usually on the left hand side of the page won't show up on the page, but if I change the reference name to "content" in the xml file, it shows up (except it's obviously then on the right hand side). I've checked the template it's referencing (2columns-left.phtml), and the getChildHtml('left') is there in the correct position.   Hi all, I keep receiving an error with the following code. I am trying to make a function that will format a field (content=0.0032) into a varchar/percent (content=0.32%). At the moment i'm just trying to get format to work, and it throws up an error "Error Code : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'len);" The function definition for "Format" is "Format(X,d)" where x is the number and d is the number of decimal places to round too.   Is there a standard practice to organize the process of developing a simple website. there is no use implementing MVC as there is no data base involved. It will be very useful in organizing the project and separating the aspx files and master page content(this can be very useful in implementing simple cms techniques) user controls scripts styles images is there any industry standard or best practice for this.? thanks in advance :) Update: yes the way i have listed is convenient. but it would be great if i could separate server codes and files like master,aspx.. and the actual page content. One more reason for not using MVC: I usually outsource the SEO process. Now an MVC application can be greek/latin for my SEO expert. :)

• Can I use a MIME type declaration to get an HTML file to open in MS Word?

I tried changing the MIME type in the HTTP headers of several pages via Tamper Data to application/msword, and I tried using the http-equiv meta tag <meta http-equiv="Content-type" content="application/msword"> on a local HTML file I tried opening from the browser, but neither appeared to have any effect. I don't really have a clue with regard to HTTP headers and MIME types generally, so - any tips? Many thanks!

• Sharepoint : Access denied when editing a page (because of page layout) or list item

  I'm logged in as the System Account, so it's probably not a "real access denied"! What I've done : - A custom master page - A custom page layout from a custom content type (with custom fields) If I add a custom field (aka "content field" in the tools in SPD) in my page layout, I get an access denied when I try to edit a page that comes from that page layout. So, for example, if I add in my page layout this line in a "asp:content" tag : I get an access denied. If I remove it, everyting is fine. (the field "test" is a field that comes from the content type). Any idea? SUMMARY You get an ACCESS DENIED when editing a PAGE or an ITEM You still get the error even if you're logged in as the Super Admin of the f****in world (sorry, I spent 3 days on that bug) For me, it happened after an import from another site definition (a cmp file) Actually, it's supposed to be a known bug and it's supposed to be fixed since February 2009, but it looks like it's not. The code I posted above should fix the thing.

• Titanium webview bug or "feature"? Numbers converted to telephone links

  I can't stop Titanium's webview from converting numbers to telephone links. For instance, let's say I programmatically set the innerHTML of a div called test to 96840664702 and then write javascript... alert(document.getElementById('test').innerHTML In Mobile Safari on the iPhone, Firefox, etc., the alert will read "96840664702". If I point Titanium's webview to the same page, the alert will read: <a href="tel:96840664702" x-apple-data=detectors="true">96840664702</a> How can I globally disable the data-detectors? I tried a couple meta-tags... <meta name=”format-detection” content=”telephone=no” > <meta name="x-" http-equiv="x-rim-auto-match" forua="true" content="none"/> ... but they didn't work. I couldn't find a reference for a meta tag that specifically mentioned Apple's detectors. Again, it's only a problem in Titanium's webview. It works everywhere else.

• Enumerating .NET assembly resources at runtime

  I have a resource assembly with image files in it that are built using Resource or Content build action. This makes these files accessible using the Uris. However I cannot find the way to enumerate such resources. If I set the build action to Embedded Resource it becomes possible to enumerate the files with the following code: string[] resources = Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().GetManifestResourceNames(); but it in turn makes these files inaccessible using Uris. The question is - how to enumerate resources that are compiled with either Resource or Content build action? NOTE: As Thomas Levesque pointed out it is possible to enumerate such resources by leveraging the AssemblyAssociatedContentFileAttribute, but it seems to only work for WPF Application assemblies and not for class library ones. So the question is still open.

There are a few portal APIs, though, that need to be called from that external content. What information do I have to pass from the portal to the widgets that the widgets can use to make these calls without being rejected by CAS? In other words, how can I go from one site where I've authenticated to another and tell it that I've already done the authentication thing.   Hi there. I am trying to create a website in which all interaction takes place on a single page which has its main content filled via AJAX. The site is effectively a template with a central interaction area. Users can click links which results in an AJAX request to fetch a new page to display in the interaction area. In this way, the page never refreshes, instead it has its content fetched and displayed via AJAX. I have found that the CakePHP framework has many useful features that could work with this project, however, I do not no if the Cake's MVC architecture would work with my single page architecture.   SQL Server XML Schema Collection is an interesting concept and I find it very useful when designing dynamic data content. However as I work my way through implementing Schema Collections, I find it very difficult to maintain them. Schema Collection DDL allows only CREATE and ALTER/ADD nodes to existing schemes. CREATE XML SCHEMA COLLECTION [ <relational_schema>. ]sql_identifier AS 'XSD Content' ALTER XML SCHEMA COLLECTION [ <relational_schema>. ]sql_identifier ADD 'Schema Component' When you want to remove any node from a schema you have to issue following DDL's. If that schema collection assigned to a table column, you have to alter table to remove schema collection association from that column Drop the schema collection object Re-Create schema collection Alter table column to re-associate schema collection to that column. This is pain when it comes to 100+ of schemes in a collection. Also you have to re-create XML indexes all over again, if any. Any solutions, suggestions, tricks to make this schema collection object editing process easier?

• jQuery ajax doesn't seem to be reading HTML data in Chromium

  I have an HTML (App) file that reads another HTML (data) file via jQuery.ajax(). It then finds specific tags in the data HTML file and uses text within the tags to display sort-of tool tips. Feels like a hack. Has anyone got a better approach? I don't like this because I have to read in a 125k string into memory. Is it valid rss to include "complex content" like that - a script block inside an element? Thanks.

• Tactics for using PHP in a high-load site

  Before you answer this I have never developed anything popular enough to attain high server loads. Treat me as (sigh) an alien that has just landed on the planet, albeit one that knows PHP and a few optimisation techniques. I'm developing a tool in PHP that could attain quite a lot of users, if it works out right. However while I'm fully capable of developing the program I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to making something that can deal with huge traffic. So here's a few questions on it (feel free to turn this question into a resource thread as well). Databases At the moment I plan to use the MySQLi features in PHP5. However how should I setup the databases in relation to users and content? Do I actually need multiple databases? At the moment everything's jumbled into one database - although I've been considering spreading user data to one, actual content to another and finally core site content (template masters etc.) to another. My reasoning behind this is that sending queries to different databases will ease up the load on them as one database = 3 load sources. Also would this still be effective if they were all on the same server? Caching I have a template system that is used to build the pages and swap out variables. Master templates are stored in the database and each time a template is called it's cached copy (a html document) is called. At the moment I have two types of variable in these templates - a static var and a dynamic var. Static vars are usually things like page names, the name of the site - things that don't change often; dynamic vars are things that change on each page load. My question on this: Say I have comments on different articles. Which is a better solution: store the simple comment template and render comments (from a DB call) each time the page is loaded or store a cached copy of the comments page as a html page - each time a comment is added/edited/deleted the page is recached. Finally Does anyone have any tips/pointers for running a high load site on PHP. I'm pretty sure it's a workable language to use - Facebook and Yahoo! give it great precedence - but are there any experiences I should watch out for? Thanks, Ross

• Does writing data to server using Java URL class require response from server?

  I am trying to upload files using Java URL class and I have found a previous question on stack-overflow which explains very well about the details, so I try to follow it. And below is my code adopted from the sniplet given in the answer. My problem is that if I don't make a call to one of connection.getResponseCode() or connection.getInputStream() or connection.getResponseMessage() or anything which is related to reponse from the server, the request will never be sent to server. Why do I need to do this? Or is there any way to write the data without getting the response? P.S. I have developed a server-side uploading servlet which accepts multipart/form-data and save it to files using FileUpload.
