  • MVC 3 Razor PopUp Window

    - by Vipul
    I need to open a new pop up window on click of a button in a view. The new window should be redirect to a specific actionmethod in a specific controller. I also need to provide attributes for size of the new pop up window. I have been trying the following code: <input type="button" name = "ClickMe" Value="ClickMe" onclick= "javascript:window.open('/Home/Create/','Customer Search',height='window.screen.height - 100', width='200',left='window.screen.width - 250' ,top='10',status='no',toobar='no',resizable='yes',scrollbars='yes')"/> On click of button, nothing happens. I get following Javascript error: Line: 19 Char: 1 Error: Invalid argument. Code: 0 When I check the ViewSource of the HTML rendered, I find the line to be the one which is rendering the button. I am using Windows Vista with IE 7. I am working on MVC 3 with Razor Engine in VS 2010

  • Python: How to use code.InteractiveConsole?

    - by Rosarch
    I'm trying to use InteractiveConsole to create a new front-end for a Python interpreter. These code fragments are from me playing around with InteractiveConsole in IDLE: >>> ses = code.InteractiveConsole() >>> ses.runsource("def foo():") True >>> ses.runsource(" return 2") File "<input>", line 1 SyntaxError: 'return' outside function (<input>, line 1) False Why does it raise a syntax error? How else can I finish writing the function? Also, for something like this: >>> ses.runsource("x = 1") False >>> ses.runsource("x") 1 False How can I capture the 1 value from above? False is the return value, but 1 is written to some stream.

  • MySqlConnection really not close

    - by stighy
    Hi guys, i've a huge problem. Take a look to this sample code private sub FUNCTION1() dim conn as new mysqlconnection(myconnstring) conn.open ---- do something FUNCTION2() ---- conn.close end sub private sub FUNCTION2() dim conn as new mysqlconnection(myconnstring) .... conn.open -- do something conn.close end sub Despite i close regulary all my connection, they remains "open" on the mysql server. I know this because i'm using MySQL Administration tool to check how many connection i open "line by line" of my source code. In fact i get a lot of time "user has exceeded the 'max_user_connections' resource (current value: 5)" My hoster permit ONLY 5 connection, but i think that if i write GOOD source code, this cannot be a problem. So my question is: why that "damn" connections remain open ?? Thank you in advance!

  • Word Wrap in Vim (preserving indentation)

    - by sixtyfootersdude
    I was just looking at this post which describes how to wrap entire words in vim. The accepted solution was this: :set formatoptions=l :set lbr Which takes this text (tabs are shown as \t): *Inside of window *Outside of window |---------------------------------------| |\t\tthis is a like of text that will wr|ap here |\t\tcan you see the wrap | | | |---------------------------------------| This accomplishes a behavior like this (tabs are shown as \t): *Inside of window *Outside of window |---------------------------------------| |\t\tthis is a like of text that will | |wrap here | |\t\tcan you see the wrap | | | |---------------------------------------| I would however like to redefine this function. I would like the wrapped line to have the same number of tabs in front of it that the line above has plus one. Ie: *Inside of window *Outside of window |---------------------------------------| |\t\tthis is a like of text that will | |\t\t\twrap here | |\t\tcan you see the wrap | | | |---------------------------------------| Any ideas?

  • UDK "Error, Accessing a member of _'s within class through a context expression requires explicit 'O

    - by Ricket
    I get the following error in the UDK Frontend when I try to make my project: C:\UDK\UDK-2010-03\Development\Src\FixIt\Classes\ZInteraction.uc(58) : Error, Accessing a member of GameUISceneClient's within class through a context expression requires explicit 'Outer' The class ZInteraction extends Interaction. Line 58 is: GetSceneClient().ConsoleCommand("KEYNAME"@Key); What is the problem here? I am still investigating and I will update as I find out more. edit: Tried fixing the line up as class'UIRoot'.static.GetSceneClient().ConsoleCommand("KEYNAME"@Key); - no change.

  • Sleeping a thread blocking stdin

    - by Sid
    Hey, I'm running a function which evaluates commands passed in using stdin and another function which runs a bunch of jobs. I need to make the latter function sleep at regular intervals but that seems to be blocking the stdin. Any advice on how to resolve this would be appreciated. The source code for the functions is def runJobs(comps, jobQueue, numRunning, limit, lock): while len(jobQueue) >= 0: print(len(jobQueue)); if len(jobQueue) > 0: comp, tasks = find_computer(comps, 0); #do something time.sleep(5); def manageStdin(): print "Global Stdin Begins Now" for line in fileinput.input(): try: print(eval(line)); except Exception, e: print e; --Thanks

  • C++ Regarding cin.ignore()

    - by user1578897
    i would hope someone can modify my code as its so buggy. sometime its work, sometime it dont.. so let me explain more.. Text file data is as below Line3D, [70, -120, -3], [-29, 1, 268] Line3D, [25, -69, -33], [-2, -41, 58] To read the above line.. i use the following char buffer[30]; cout << "Please enter filename: "; cin.ignore(); getline(cin,filename); readFile.open(filename.c_str()); //if successfully open if(readFile.is_open()) { //record counter set to 0 numberOfRecords = 0; while(readFile.good()) { //input stream get line by line readFile.getline(buffer,20,','); if(strstr(buffer,"Point3D")) { Point3D point3d_tmp; readFile>>point3d_tmp; // and so on... Then i did a overload on the ifstream for Line3d ifstream& operator>>(ifstream &input,Line3D &line3d) { int x1,y1,z1,x2,y2,z2; //get x1 input.ignore(2); input>>x1; //get y1 input.ignore(); input>>y1; //get z1 input.ignore(); input>>z1; //get x2 input.ignore(4); input>>x2; //get y2 input.ignore(); input>>y2; //get z2 input.ignore(); input>>z2; input.ignore(2); Point3D pt1(x1,y1,z1); Point3D pt2(x2,y2,z2); line3d.setPt1(pt1); line3d.setPt2(pt2); line3d.setLength(); } But the issue is the record work sometime and sometime it dont.. what i mean is if at this point //i add a cout cout << x1 << y1 << z1; cout << x2 << y2 << z2; //its works! Point3D pt1(x1,y1,z1); Point3D pt2(x2,y2,z2); line3d.setPt1(pt1); line3d.setPt2(pt2); line3d.setLength(); but if i take away the cout it dont work. how do i change my cin.ignore() so the data can be handle properly , consider number range is -999 to 999

  • How can I fake sql data while preserving statements without commenting my server-side code?

    - by Fedor
    I have to use hardcoded values for certain fields because at this moment we don't have access to the real data. When we do get access, I don't want to go through a lot of work uncommenting. Is it possible to keep this statement the way it is, except use '25' as the alias for ratecode? IF(special.ratecode IS NULL, br.ratecode, special.ratecode) AS ratecode, I have about 8 or so IF statements similar to this and I'm just too lazy ( even with vim ) to re-append while commenting out each if statement line by line. I would have to do this: $sql = 'SELECT u.*,'; // IF ( special.ratecode IS NULL, br.ratecode, special.ratecode) AS ratecode $sql.= '25 AS ratecode';

  • C++ vector and struct problem win32

  • Windows XP batch file concat

    - by dls
    I'm trying to accomplish the following ridiculous task: I have a text file containing a set of fully qualified filesnames. I want to iterate through the file and append each line to a common variable, that can be passed to a command line tool. For example, the file might be: C:\dir\test.txt C:\WINDOWS\test2.txt C:\text3.txt and I'd like to assign them to some variable 'a' such that: a = "C:\dir\test.txt C:\WINDOWS\test2.txt C:\text2.txt" A secondary question is - what is a good batch file reference? I'm finding some stuff in the Windows material, and a lot of home-grown websites, but nothing particularly complete. Thanks!

  • Git + SoA, one repo or many?

    - by parsenome
    Normally, when I start up a new application, I'd create a new git repository for it. That's well accepted and plays nice with Github when I want to share my code. At work, I'm working in a service oriented architecture. One very common pattern is to add some code to two different applications at the same time - perhaps adding a model with a RESTful interface to one and a web frontend for managing it on another. Using separate git repositories has some warts in this case. Here are what I see as the downsides of doing separate repositories: I have to commit twice I can't correllate related commits very well No single place to go back and trace history - I'd love to be able to bring up all my commits for the day in a single place Forgetting to pull one repo or another is a gotcha On the other hand, I've used perforce a lot and its one giant repository model has lots of warts too. Perforce has features designed to let help you with those, git doesn't. Has anyone else run into this situation? How did you handle it? What worked well, and what didn't?

  • Flash automatically names objects on stage "instance#"

    - by meowMIX3R
    Hi, I have 2 TLF text boxes already placed on my main stage. In the property inspector window I give these the instance names: "txt1" and "txt2". I am trying to have a single mouseup event, and figure out which text box it occurred on. My document class has the following code: package { import flash.display.Sprite; import flash.events.KeyboardEvent; public class SingleEvent extends Sprite{ public function SingleEvent() { // constructor code root.addEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_UP, textChanged,false,0,true); } private function textChanged(e:KeyboardEvent){ trace(e.target.name); trace(" " + e.target); switch(e.target){ case txt1: trace("txt1 is active"); break; case txt2: trace("txt2 is active"); break; default: break; } } } } Example output is: instance15 [object Sprite] instance21 [object Sprite] Since the objects are already on the stage, I am not sure how to get flash to recognize them as "txt1" and "txt2" instead of "instance#". I tried setting the .name property, but it had no effect. In the publish settings, I have "Automatically declare stage instances" checked. Also, is it possible to have a single change event for multiple slider components? The following never fires: root.addEventListener(SliderEvent.CHANGE, sliderChanged,false,0,true); Thanks for any tips

  • Error - Trying to get property of non-object

What is the best method to have this fixed? Some advice would be appreciated.

  • How can I pass an array resulting from a Perl method by reference?

    - by arareko
    Some XML::LibXML methods return arrays instead of references to arrays. Instead of doing this: $self->process_items($xml->findnodes('items/item')); I want to do something like: $self->process_items(\$xml->findnodes('items/item')); So that in process_items() I can dereference the original array instead of creating a copy: sub process_items { my ($self, $items) = @_; foreach my $item (@$items) { # do something... } } I can always store the results of findnodes() into an array and then pass the array reference to my own method, but let's say I want to try a reduced version of my code. Is that the correct syntax for passing the method results or should I use something different? Thanks! EDIT: Now suppose I want to change process_items() to process_item() so I can do stuff on a single element of the referenced array inside a loop. Something like: $self->process_item($_) for ([ $xml->findnodes('items/item') ]); This doesn't work as process_item() is executed only once because a single value is passed to the for loop (the reference to the array from findnodes()). What's the proper way of using $_ in this case?

  • Loop function works first time, not second time

    - by user1483101
    I'm creating a parsing program to look for certain strings in a a text file and count them. However, I'm having some trouble with one spot. def callbrowse(): filename = tkFileDialog.askopenfilename(filetypes = (("Text files", "*.txt"),("HTML files", ".html;*.htm"),("All files", "*.*"))) print filename try: global filex global writefile filex = open(filename, 'r') print "Success!!" print filename except: print "Failed to open file" ######This returns the correct count only the first time it is run. The next time it ######returns 0. If the browse button is clicked again, then this function returns the ######correct count again. def count_errors(error_name): count = 0 for line in filex: if error_name == "CPU > 79%": stringparse = "Utilization is above" elif error_name == "Stuck touchscreen": stringparse = "Stuck touchscreen" if re.match("(.*)" + "Utilization is above" + "(.*)",line): count = count + 1 return count Thanks for any help. I can't seem to get this to work right.

  • MySQL, PHP, and Apache errors while connecting to DB

    - by cypherdelton
    I'm having two errors when I test the "mysql_connect()" function in php. I just installed PHP and MySQL from scratch. These errors may be related, so I will post them both here: Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Headers and client library minor version mismatch. Headers:50158 Library:50518 in /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/index.php on line 6 Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) in /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/index.php on line 6 Many websites say to start the mysql server if you are getting error #2. Whenever I execute the command mysqld start --user=mysql I get the error "mysqld: Too many arguments (first extra is 'start'); Adding the "&" to the end of the command makes no difference (I don't know if it is supposed to). Thanks, Cypher Delton

  • python: importing modules with incorrect import statements => unexhaustive info from resulting Impor

    - by bbb
    Hi there, I have a funny problem I'd like to ask you guys ('n gals) about. I'm importing some module A that is importing some non-existent module B. Of course this will result in an ImportError. This is what A.py looks like import B Now let's import A >>> import A Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> File "/tmp/importtest/A.py", line 1, in <module> import B ImportError: No module named B Alright, on to the problem. How can I know if this ImportError results from importing A or from some corrupt import inside A without looking at the error's string representation. The difference is that either A is not there or does have incorrect import statements. Hope you can help me out... Cheers bb

  • Are reads and (transactional) writes faster for entities of the same group than otherwise?

    - by indiehacker
    What advantage is there to designing child-parent relationships, which allow us to do writes in transactions, when there is never a real concern for consistency and contention and those sort of more complex issues? Does it make writes and reads faster? Consider my situation where there are many .png images that are referenced to one mosaic layer, and these .png images are written just once by a single user. The user can design many mosaic layers and her mosaic layers and referenced image entities are never changed/updated, they are just deleted some time in the future. Other users can come to the web project site and interactively view the mosaic layer as different layouts/configurations of the images as they play (query) with different criteria. So reads should be very fast. So there is no real worry of contention, or users conflicting with one another with writing new image entities. And because of that I am assuming there is no "requirement" for the .png image entities to be grouped by their same mosaic layer in child-parent relationship. However, perhaps, since the documentation says they are stored close to one another, if the many image entities were grouped as children to a single mosaic layer parent than this has the advantage that the writing (in transaction) and reading will happen much faster?

  • I can I separate multiple logical pages in a text file I create in Perl?

    - by Micah
    So far, I've been successful with generating output to individual files by opening a file for output as part of outer loop and closing it after all output is written. I had used a counting variable ($x) and appended .txt onto it to create a filename, and had written it to the same directory as my perl script. I want to step the code up a bit, prompt for a file name from the user, open that file once and only once, and write my output one "printed letter" per page. Is this possible in plain text? From what I understand, chr(12) is an ascii line feed character and will get me close to what I want, but is there a better way? Thanks in advance, guys. :) sub PersonalizeLetters{ print "\n\n Beginning finalization of letters..."; print "\n\n I need a filename to save these letters to."; print "\n Filename > "; $OutFileName = <stdin>; chomp ($OutFileName); open(OutFile, ">$OutFileName"); for ($x=0; $x<$NumRecords; $x++){ $xIndex = (6 * $x); $clTitle = @ClientAoA[$xIndex]; $clName = @ClientAoA[$xIndex+1]; #I use this 6x multiplier because my records have 6 elements. #For this routine I'm only interested in name and title. #Reset OutLetter array #Midletter has other merged fields that aren't specific to who's receiving the letter. @OutLetter = @MiddleLetter; for ($y=0; $y<=$ifLength; $y++){ #Step through line by line and insert the name. $WorkLine = @OutLetter[$y]; $WorkLine =~ s/\[ClientTitle\]/$clTitle/; $WorkLine =~ s/\[ClientName\]/$clName/; @OutLetter[$y] = $WorkLine; } print OutFile "@OutLetter"; #Will chr(12) work here, or is there something better? print OutFile chr(12); $StatusX = $x+1; print "Writing output $StatusX of $NumRecords... \n\n"; } close(OutFile); }
