• Need a MYSQL query to compare two tables and only output non matching results

  I have two tables in my database, one contains a list of items with other information on these items. The other table is contains a list of photographs of these items. The items table gives each item a unique identifier,which is used in the photographs table to identifier which item has been photographed. I need to output a list of items that are not linked to a photograph in the second table. Any ideas on how I can do this?

  I've found an old plugin called acts_as_habtm_list - but it's for Rails 1.0.0. Is this functionality built in acts_as_list now? I can't seem to find any information on it. Means, by default it will use the 1st *.rc file, and when certain condition achieve inside my *.cpp, the button will be using the 2nd *.rc file.   We are using bcrypt for passwords and data that never needs to be decrypted. What should do to protect other user information that does. For this example lets say that we didn't want a users real name to be in plain text in case someone was to obtain the db. This is somewhat sensitive data but also needs to be called from time to time and displayed in plain text. Is there a simple way to do this?

Basic scheme is: There will be client software on each user PC which will extract domain information on http requests and decide if it's already available on server or not.
