  I have an H1 tag on a page with an ID of "Topic Name <h1 id="topicName"><a href="/link here">News You Can Use</a></h1> I need to copy the text inside the H1 and apply it to a series of span tags which are inside a div. <div class="post"> <h2>{tag_postdate} <span class="topicName2"> </span></h2></div> I need to get "News you can Use" and copy it inside each instance of .topicName2 Any help would be appreciated!

• Building a "lecture notes" website with wordpress

  Hi all, I wish to build a "lecture notes" website using wordpress. And would love for any advice on what plugins to use, other considerations to have or website that perform a similar task with WP. The website should have a form that will allow users to upload their lecture files. The results should be a new "post". • jQuery dialog box not opening 2nd time

  I found this thread which basically has the same issue I have. But their solution is not working for me. The dialog appears the first time I click the submit button, but not the 2nd time. I'm opening the dialog box after a form submission. UPDATE I finally got it working. So each comment may have a parent comment etc. Given table "Comments": CommentId - int - identity autoincrement PostId - int ParentId - int Comment - string Is there a way to get a list of comments for a given article ordered by CreateDate and ParentId? Or maybe there is a better table design you may suggest. What is the best design when inserting Post comments like this? I'm using Entity framework. thanks

  I want to make a textbook where it starts out as a given width/height. Then if users type more then the given amount of space, the textbox expands downward. How do I go about doing this? Do I use css? The basic textbox just displays a scroll bar when users pass the number of rows allow. • How to avoid Modal Storyboard infinite loop

  I've written a number of iOS applications a year ago on an old version of Xcode. I've just started a new project and discovered the storyboard feature in the latest Xcode. It turns out this is perfect for the application I am writing as it consists of ~30 interlinked screens. My question is, how do I structure my storyboard and segues to allow my application to follow a circular path through my screens. I have seen a number of examples that simply segue screen 1 to screen 2 and then screen 2 to screen 1 using the modal option. This clearly works but when I debug an application built this way, it instantiates a new instance of each screen (view controller) for every segue performed. In the diagram below (apologies, I drew a nice picture but due to my newbie status, was not able to post it), how do I go from screen 1 to screen 2 to screen 3 and back to original screen 1 without creating a new instance? // Screen 1 --> Screen 2 --> Screen3 // ^ | // | | // +-------------------------+

• continuous deployment with github pages and GAE python

  I have a site hosted by google app engine. I've pushed all the html files to a github pages repo and what I want to do next is somehow make GAE listen to my github's changes. Like everytime i commit something new, GAE will deploy itself based on the changes. I've heared of drydrop but that was when github pages didn't exist yet. So what should i do next? I've set up a post-receive url , which is my appspot website, through the github's service hooks, added the CNAME file to my repo which contains my appspot url. Not sure if that's necessary. I've googled a lot on this but none really answers my question. or I just don't know the right search term for it. Thanks in advance

  Hi, I am not sure if there is a term to describe this, but I have observed that content management systems store all kinds of data in a single table with their bare minimum properties while the meta data is stored in another table in form of key value pairs. for eg. everything (blog posts, pages, images, events etc) is stored in one table and considered as a post. I understand that this allows for abstraction and easy extensibility we are considering designing our new project this way. It is not exactly a CMS but we plan to keep adding modules to it in stages. Lets say initially there will be only posts and images on which comments can be posted. Later on we might add videos which will also have the commenting feature. what are the drawbacks of this approach ? and will it work for a requirement like ours ? Thanks

  Hey Everyone, I have limited SQL background, basically a small amount of manipulation through HTML and mostly with pre-existing databases. What I am trying to do is set up a database that will store time information for bus routes. • Hudson results one step behind

  I'm using the filesytem plugin for Hudson, and when a build happens it looks for new/modified files, copies them to the Workspace, runs tests using Rake, and then publishes those junit xml result files. However, the updated junit xml result files don't get pushed to the workspace until the next build. This means that when the publishing of the junit xml result files happens, it's always one step behind. And this means I need to run a build twice before the results show. The Rake task is creating the junit xml files in the project directory. I've tried outputting to the workspace directory, but it seems to make things worse and the results don't get published at all. Am I doing something fundamentally wrong here? Is there a simple way of getting those junit xml results pushed to the workspace so that the post-build "Publish JUnit test result report" actually runs against the newly created xml files?

• Things to take care while sending the username and password using Ajax request ?

  Normally we have login page with username, password filed and signin button. Using the normal form based approach we send the data on and page gets post back. Now i would like to change this using the Ajax. As Ajax too using the normal HTTP so i guess nothing in different from the existing workflow barring postback right ? Now my question is is what all securities issues can be there? and what care should be taken for doing so ? Should we encode data using say base64 or so before sending using Ajax?
