  • Google is blocking our requests due to "automated queries"; what's the best way to find out why?

    This started a few weeks ago and we thought it was a virus so we checked every computer and all though 50%(Yeah, that's right) were infected once they were cleaned the problem didn't go away. It's really frustrating so I want to figure it out so I need suggestions on how to find the culprit. I think the router has logging but it logs everyone so it's hard to tell and I might be able to setup a proxy but again it's hard to tell when and what to monitor. What are your suggestions?

    I wish that label:Receipts and not label:Red-Box worked, but it doesn't I want to delete all my redbox advertising, but keep my red-box receipts (which are doubly labeled). Seems easy but I could spend all day trying to figure out their syntax and am pretty sure that someone has the cheat sheet I couldn't find on their website.

    Problem Trying to setup CI Joe (https://github.com/defunkt/cijoe) and I get the following error: /usr/bin/env: ruby1.8: No such file or directory What I'm doing CI Joe is run as www-data, and the command I'm running is RAILS_ENV=test bundle exec rake -s test When I log in as www-data (sudo su www-data) and execute the same command it works. So I'm trying to figure out what may be wrong.     From Wikipedia: Most private trackers monitor how much users upload or download, and in most situations, enforce a minimum upload-to-download ratio. How exactly can a tracker figure out how much data was uploaded and downloaded by each user? My understanding is that a BitTorrent tracker is merely a registry of users that are currently downloading/seeding and that peers, once connected, transfer data directly. So I wouldn't think that the tracker would know anything about the amount of data transferred, much less, where it came from.

    I have a new Macbook, don't know the OS, but just got it--it's the cheaper model. I saved a lot of photos on iPhoto and can't figure out how to burn a CD. Tried the "share" function and when I choose a location to save the photos and hit burn, get an error message that says can't create in that location. Needs to be run on a pc or photo processing place.

    Certain letters are suddenly showing up as fractions in Mac's Mail program. Specifically, lowercase a = 1/2 lowercase b = 1/4 lowercase c = 3/4 Capitalized, they work fine, the other keys are working fine, and this only happens with this particular program, but I can't figure out what to change or what's wrong. It's Mac OS X 10.4.11 and an update was applied last night but other than that nothing's been changed (that I know of, I'm asking for someone else). Thanks.

    If I have a group policy, and add a group/user/machine etc to that group policy, how long is it until all domain controllers have that change in effect? This is a Windows 2003 Domain set up with controllers at different geographic locations (Each with a different L3 network). I realize it probably depends, but how do I figure out how long it generally takes for my given setup? Also, is there an event I can check to see if it has a reached a particular domain controller?

    The Default Website for Exchange 2010 on Windows SBS Server 2010 has been deleted (how and why is not important). Now, obviously, I cant access emails via OWA or via HTTP for people offsite. I can not figure out how to reinstall the default website to reinstall OWA and settings? I also can't log into Exchange Mangement Console. The attempt to connect to... using "kerberos" jauthenication failed (probably because it does not exist).

And how can I get this to mount automatically on startup? And I can't install smbfs or anything else. I need to use only what comes on the live CD, as there is no internet connection and no way to get in packages.

    I really tried to figure this problem out, but my "Recent 5" and "All" Playlists of Win7's WMP12 never contain anything. Also I have the "frequent" part of all the apps' jumplists filled with rarely-used or one-time-used options, also "recent" parts are rarely up-to-date and many recent files I've used are not mentioned in the jumplist's "recent" part.

    Is there any way to map the A000????.??? filenames in the System Volume Information to their original names, without restoring them? The reason I ask is that several files in one user's System Volume Information RP1 were infected by a rootkit. Although they've been removed, I'd like to be able to figure out what they were originally. A0001253.sys and A0001211.sys are not very helpful names. :) It happened on two systems, one XP SP2, the other XP SP3.
