  Session contains objects whose class definition isn\'t available. Remember to require the classes for all objects kept in the session I am trying to integrate http://github.com/binarylogic/authlogic for authentication into my rails application . I follwed all the steps into mentioned in the documentation . Now i seem to be getting this error when i hit a controller . • Struts2 Populating Checkbox from Arraylist of Objects

  I'm sure that I'm doing something dumb but I've been going craze over the last couple of days trying to get my checkboxes filled out inside an iterator that goes over an arraylist of object. Here is my object: public class EmailObject { int emailId; String emailAddress; public int getEmailId() { return emailId; } public void setEmailId(int emailId) { this.emailId = emailId; } public String getEmailAddress() { return emailAddress; } public void setEmailAddress(String emailAddress) { this.emailAddress = emailAddress; } } In my action class, I create an arraylist of the above EmailObjects. On my jsp page, I can get checkboxes through a checkboxlist (but this isn't good for me because I want it to be vertical and don't want to mess with the struts styles) <s:checkboxlist name="selectedEmails" list="userEmails" listValue="emailAddress" listKey="emailId" /> I can also iterate over the arraylist userEmails and display the values: <s:iterator value="userEmails" var="thisEmailData"> <s:property value="emailId"/> <s:property value="emailAddress"/> </s:iterator> But I can't get it to display the emailId when iterating over the arraylist userEmails. • .NET 4.0 Dynamic object used statically?

  I've gotten quite sick of XML configuration files in .NET and want to replace them with a format that is more sane. Therefore, I'm writing a config file parser for C# applications that will take a custom config file format, parse it, and create a Python source string that I can then execute in C# and use as a static object (yes that's right--I want a static (not the static type dyanamic) object in the end). Here's an example of what my config file looks like: // my custom config file format GlobalName: ExampleApp Properties { ExternalServiceTimeout: "120" } Python { // this allows for straight python code to be added to handle custom config def MyCustomPython: return "cool" } Using ANTLR I've created a Lexer/Parser that will convert this format to a Python script. So assume I have that all right and can take the .config above and run my Lexer/Parser on it to get a Python script out the back (this has the added benefit of giving me a validation tool for my config). By running the resultant script in C# // simplified example of getting the dynamic python object in C# // (not how I really do it) ScriptRuntime py = Python.CreateRuntime(); dynamic conf = py.UseFile("conftest.py"); dynamic t = conf.GetConfTest("test"); I can get a dynamic object that has my configuration settings. I can now get my config file settings in C# by invoking a dynamic method on that object: //C# calling a method on the dynamic python object var timeout = t.GetProperty("ExternalServiceTimeout"); //the config also allows for straight Python scripting (via the Python block) var special = t.MyCustonPython(); of course, I have no type safety here and no intellisense support. I have a dynamic representation of my config file, but I want a static one. I know what my Python object's type is--it is actually newing up in instance of a C# class. But since it's happening in python, it's type is not the C# type, but dynamic instead. What I want to do is then cast the object back to the C# type that I know the object is: // doesn't work--can't cast a dynamic to a static type (nulls out) IConfigSettings staticTypeConfig = t as IConfigSettings Is there any way to figure out how to cast the object to the static type? I'm rather doubtful that there is... so doubtful that I took another approach of which I'm not entirely sure about. I'm wondering if someone has a better way... So here's my current tactic: since I know the type of the python object, I am creating a C# wrapper class: public class ConfigSettings : IConfigSettings that takes in a dynamic object in the ctor: public ConfigSettings(dynamic settings) { this.DynamicProxy = settings; } public dynamic DynamicProxy { get; private set; } Now I have a reference to the Python dynamic object of which I know the type. So I can then just put wrappers around the Python methods that I know are there: // wrapper access to the underlying dynamic object // this makes my dynamic object appear 'static' public string GetSetting(string key) { return this.DynamicProxy.GetProperty(key).ToString(); } Now the dynamic object is accessed through this static proxy and thus can obviously be passed around in the static C# world via interface, etc: // dependency inject the dynamic object around IBusinessLogic logic = new BusinessLogic(IConfigSettings config); This solution has the benefits of all the static typing stuff we know and love while at the same time giving me the option of 'bailing out' to dynamic too: // the DynamicProxy property give direct access to the dynamic object var result = config.DynamicProxy.MyCustomPython(); but, man, this seems rather convoluted way of getting to an object that is a static type in the first place! Since the whole dynamic/static interaction world is new to me, I'm really questioning if my solution is optimal or if I'm missing something (i.e. some way of casting that dynamic object to a known static type) about how to bridge the chasm between these two universes.

Because we're deleting the *.qa file when we call the WebDriver.Quit() because that's when we chose to close the browser. This will kill off our cached driver as well. So if we start with a new browser window, we'll hit the catch block and create a new instance and save it to our *.qa file (in the serialized form). • People Picker can't find Forms Authentication Users in WSS 3.0

  I used a lot of tutorials to turn my windows authenticated default wss web app to use Forms Authentication. What I've done since; 1. created a web app. and a site in wss 3.0. Made its anonymous access enabled for all site content. This wss app is in the "wss3" server. 2. created a membership db with regsql.exe in .net framework folder.Created it with its default settings, like aspnetdb named database.This db is in the "sqlserver" server. 3. gave db.owner permission to the web app. admin of wss to the aspnetdb database. Successfully logged in. With no privilages ofcourse. 9. Tried to give permission via Web Application Policy to that user which logged in. 10. People Picker couldn't find it at all. Any of the forms users couldn't be found. But it clearly tells that AD connection is also changed that none of the AD users couldn't be found either. • Why does my UIWebView not Allow User Interaction?

  Hi, I'm new to these forums so I apologize for my noobieness. I did as thorough a search as I could, but I couldn't find anyone else with this issue, applogise if this has been covered elsewhere. I've created a very simple example of my problem. I'm sure I'm missing something but I can't for the life of me figure out what. I'm creating a UIWebView and adding it to a custom view controller that inherits from UIViewController. When the app loads in the iPad simulator, the uiwebview loads the desired page, but the UIWebView is entirely unresponsive. The webview does not pan or scroll and none of the in page links can be clicked. However, if you change the orientation of the webview suddleny everything works. Thanks in advance for your help!! • Perf4j Not Logging Correctly

  I setup some stop watch calls in my code to measure some code blocks and all the messages are going into my primary log and not into the timing log. The perfStats.log file gets created just fine but all the messages go to the root log which I didn't think was supposed to happen according to the docs I've read. I implemented a solution of this using sockets, but there were some issues so I am investigating a new/better way to send a file.   Hi all, I am getting an infuriating EXC_BAD_ACCESS error in an objective c app I am working on. Any help you could offer would be much appreciated. I have tried the normal debug methods for this error (turning on NSZombieEnabled, checking retain/release/autorelease to make sure I'm not trying to access a deallocated object, etc.) and it hasn't seemed to help. If I change the length of CFRangeMake from 1 to 0, it takes a lot longer for the program to crash, but still eventually does. (I don't think I am trying to access beyond the bounds of attString, but am I missing something?) When it crashes, I get something similar to: #0 0x942c7ed7 in objc_msgSend () #1 0x00000013 in ?? • Can't obtain reference to EKReminder array retrieved from fetchRemindersMatchingPredicate

  When I create an NSPredicate via EKEventStore predicateForRemindersInCalendars; and pass it to EKEventStore fetchRemindersMatchingPredicate:completion:^ I can loop through the reminders array provided by the completion code block, but when I try to store a reference to the reminders array, or create a copy of the array into a local variable or instance variable, both array's remain empty. The reminders array is never copied to them. This is the method I am using, in the method, I create a predicate, pass it to the event store and then loop through all of the reminders logging their title via NSLog. I can see the reminder titles during runtime thanks to NSLog, but the local arrayOfReminders object is empty. I also try to add each reminder into an instance variable of NSMutableArray, but once I leave the completion code block, the instance variable remains empty. Am I missing something here? Can someone please tell me why I can't grab a reference to all of the reminders for use through-out the app? • A little bit of Ajax goes a long way

  ..except when you're having problems. My problem is this: I have a hierarchical list of categories stored in a database which I wish to output in a dropdown list. The hierarchy comes into place when the subcategories are to be displayed, which are dependent on a parent id (which equals out to the first seven or so main categories listed). My thoughts are relatively simple: when the user clicks the dynamically allocated list of main categories, they are clicking on an option tag. For each option tag, an id (i.e., the parent) is listed in the value attribute, as well as an argument which is sent to a Javascript function which then uses AJAX to get the data via PHP and sends it to my 'javascript.php' file. The file then does magic, and populates the subcategory list, which is dependent on the main category selected. I believe I have the idea down, it's just that I'm implementing the solution improperly, for some reason. It leads me to believe that I am not getting that full image out of memory the correct way. What am I missing here? And on a second note, does the Camera source use significantly more memory than the Photo Albums source? I tend to get more crashes when using the camera.

• Maven webapp with maven-eclipse-plugin doesn't generate <dependent-module>

  I use the eclipse:eclipse goal to generate an Eclipse Project environment. The deployment works fine. The goal creates the var classpath entries for all needed dependencies. With m2eclipse there was the Maven Container which defines an export folder which was WEB-INF/lib for me. But i don't want to rely on m2eclipse so i don't use it anymore. the class path entries which are generated by eclipse:eclipse goal don't have such a export folder. While booting the servlet container with WTP it publishes all resources and classes except the libraries to the context. Whats missing to publish the needed libs, or isn't that possible without m2eclipse integration? • Trying to scrape a page with php/curl, trouble with cookies, post vars, and hidden fields.

  Im trying to use CURL to scrape the results from the page http://adlab.msn.com/Online-Commercial-Intention/Default.aspx My understanding, is that i visit this page, it places cookie info and sets a few variables. I enter my query, select the query radio option, and click go. The problem, is that its not working the way that it does through the website as im trying to get it to using the code below. Ive tweaked several things, but im posting here in hopes someone can find what im missing.   My WCF Service has an OperationContract that accepts, as a parameter, an array of objects. This can potentially be quite large. After looking for fixes for Bad Request: 400, I found the real reason: the maximum message size. I know this question has been asked before in MANY places. I've tried what everyone says: "Increase the sizes in the client and server config files." I have. It still doesn't work.   I am trying to get validation to work in ASP.NET MVC 2, but without much success. I have a complex class containing a large number of fields. (Don't ask - this is oneo f those real-world situations best practices can't touch) This would normally be my Model and is a LINQ-to-SQL generated class. I'm after the mechanism demoed by Jon Galloway at http://www.asp.net/learn/mvc-videos/video-10082.aspx. (Am aware t is similar to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1260562/asp-net-mvc-model-viewmodel-validation but that post seems to talk about xVal. I have no idea what that is and suspect it is for MVC 1)

• Xcode/iPhone Development 6 months in - Annoyances

  Hi I've been iPhone programming for 6 months and come from a PC/Java/Eclipse background and still have a few annoyances with Xcode/iPhone programming I wonder are there any shortcuts to. Is there any way to prevent multiple windows opening all the time in XCode? a) When you click on the Errors/Warnings in the bottom right of the status bar build errors are shown in separate window. Any way to get these to show in the main editor? b) Anyway to get debugger to appear in main editor. I have a big screen iMac and it's still window hell on Macs. When you come from Alt-Tab the Mac is a nightmare. 2) Anyway to get a toolbar item on the main editor to: a) Open Console (I know CMD-thingy-R) b) Open Break points (you have to open Debugger first then breakpoints) I know there's keyboard shortcuts but I have only left hand free others on the trackball so any keys on right hand side of keyboard are too far. I know you can add Finder toolbar scripts (just wondering if anyway to extend Xcode). Are there utilities to extend Xcode? Scripts/Automator/Any Services I can setup to help. Can you automate Xcode like you can with Windows/ActiveX/VBA 3) Limit lookups using CMD + double click. If I double click on a variable to find its definition using CMD + double click it shows every occurrence of all variables with that name. (annoying it you name all you maps mapView) Anyway to get it to limit to the current class or at least order so current class is first. 4) Find doesn't seem to loop backwards if result all above cursor position I'm in a class and I hit CMD + F for find. Find box appears. I enter some text hit return. It says I have x matches but only back arrow is highlight in Find But when I hit < it does nothing. I need to scroll to the top and redo the search. If the text is both forwards and backwards then both < are highlighted and it works. is this a bug or a 'feature' Missing Eclipse features I have been looking at the User Script menu but was wondering how powerful they are? 5) any scripts around to generate source from members such as description: @property @synthesize if I add a new member, run a script will generate @property/@syntesize and release in dealloc 7) any good sites for scripts? SCM Im having problems with SCM and Folders on HD under project Classes directory. You get a library e.g. JSON. It usually comes as a folder. You copy it to the /Classes for your project. /Classes/JSON I create a Group for the Library in Xcode under Classes group. Classes JSON I drag the files from the folder into xcode into the JSON Group. I add them to the SCM and icon changes from ? to A but if I try and commit them it say folder /JSON is not under SCM. Can you drag a folder into Xcode so that it AND its files get included in SCM? Anyway to stop Xcode Help from being on top all the time. I keep feeling like punching it and telling it to get out of the way! :) I dont mind it open just not in the way once I've finished. The data is stored as a list of objects that are instances of a class with the following attributes: time_point - the time of the sample cluster - the name of the cluster of nodes from which the sample was taken code - the name of the node from which the sample was taken qty1 = the value of the sample for the first quantity qty2 = the value of the sample for the second quantity I need to derive some values from the data set, grouped in three ways - once for the sample as a whole, once for each cluster of nodes, and once for each node. The values I need to derive depend on the (time sorted) cumulative sums of qty1 and qty2: the maximum value of the element-wise sum of the cumulative sums of qty1 and qty2, the time point at which that maximum value occurred, and the values of qty1 and qty2 at that time point. The first snippet above runs well for my initial dataset (on the order of a million records), but later datasets will have more records and clusters/nodes, so scalability is a concern. This is my first non-trivial use of Python, and I want to make sure I'm taking proper advantage of the language (this is replacing a very convoluted set of SQL queries, and earlier versions of the Python version were essentially very ineffecient straight transalations of what that did). • IE attachEvent on object tag causes memory corruption

  I've an ActiveX Control within an embedded IE8 HTML page that has the following event MessageReceived([in] BSTR srcWindowId, [in] BSTR json). On Windows the event is registered with OCX.attachEvent("MessageReceived", onMessageReceivedFunc). Following code fires the event in the HTML page. The delete[] of pvars causes a double free of the same string then which ends in a heap corruption. Does anybody has an idea whats going on here? Is this a IE bug or is there a trick within the OCX Implementation that I'm missing? If I use the tag like: <script for="OCX" event="MessageReceived(id, json)" language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript"> window.onMessageReceivedFunc(windowId, json); </script> ... the strange copy operation does not occur. The following code also seem to be ok due to the fact that the caller of Fire_MessageReceived() is responsible for freeing the BSTRs.
