• Is it possible to hide the cursor in a webpage using CSS or Javascript?

  I want to hide the cursor when showing a webpage that is meant to display information in a building hall. It doesn't have to be interactive at all. I tried with the cursor property and a transparent cursor image but I didn't make it work. Does anybody know if this can be done? I suppose this can be thought as a security threat for a user that can't know where he is clicking on, so I'm not very optimistic... Thank you!

  I have had the problem described in the question Tiling rectangles seamlessly in WPF, but am not really happy with the answers given there. I am painting a bar chart by painting lots of rectangles right next to each other. Depending on the scale of the canvas containing them, there are small gaps visible between some of them as a result from sub-pixel rendering. I learned from the above question how to make my rectangles fit with the screen pixels, removing that effect. Unfortunately, my chart may display way more bars than there are pixels. Apart from the tiny gaps (which manifest as a periodic change in color saturation), this works well. If I snap each bar with the screen pixels, most of the bars vanish, though, so I am looking for another solution. Thanks in advance!

I use Xcode 4 and I have one target with keys: Bundle display name : ${PRODUCT_NAME} Bundle name : ${PRODUCT_NAME} What I want, my project name is for example "test" but I want to have "MySuperApp".   Hi few days ago I formatted one of my computers (XP Home SP2 with prior updates installed). Now I am trying to install NET Framework 3.5, but display this error: [03/21/10,17:19:36] Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0a: [2] Error: Installation failed for component Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0a. MSI returned error code 1603 [03/21/10,17:20:17] WapUI: [2] DepCheck indicates Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0a is not installed. Already i have tried this to try solve this issue, but the problem persists. 1.- unistall all frameworks and reinstall from scratch 2.- clean all temps file and reinstall from scratch 3.- unistall and clean all frameworks with dotnetfx cleanup tool and reinstall from scratch 4.- install .NET Framework 3.5 full package But all these possibles solutions have failed. • Does an HTTPS SharePoint Site Need to Use HTTPS-Compliant Web Parts?

  I am new to SharePoint, so this question may be a little naive. However, I sincerely appreciate any help with this. We are planning to create a new sub-site within our company's intranet site, which is built on SharePoint 2007. We want to add a 3rd-party weather web part (which is just a widget to display the local weather forecast) to the home page of the new intranet site. Since the intranet site uses HTTPS, do we need to find an HTTPS-compliant web part? Or, is it possible to use any web part and then configure it to use HTTPS? I'm assuming that if we use a non-HTTPS web part, then users will get some sort of "This page contains both secure and non-secure items" error message when they load the page.

  I'm trying to read the contents of a file and simply getting an empty string. The file exists on the server. I've tried some test with the following code and get the true to display: $filename = "includes/blah.php"; $filecontents = file_get_contents($filename, FILE_USE_INCLUDE_PATH); if ($filecontents === false) { echo(":FALSE:"); } else { echo(":TRUE:"); } var_dump($filecontents); The dump displays "string(354)" which is the correct size of the file. What am I doing wrong?

  I have a table with slanted text in the header row, the only problem is that the text still makes the width of the columns way to large. Is there any way to squish together the table columns so that they are about the width of the select boxes? Or is there a way to place the text there without it in the header and maybe just use a <div> or <p>?   I've got an windows mobile 6.5 application I'm developing and am having trouble with one icon. At the top right hand of the screen there is an icon that, when clicked, will display a list of programs running the background with the option to close them. When my program is in this list, it's icon does not show up as the others do. I'm my exe I've got an .ico for 16x16, 22x22, 32x32, 36x36, 44x44, 45x45, 60x60, and 64x64, with the optional 90x90 png and registry setting in my cab. What am I missing?

• UITableView: Highlighted cell after switching back views

  Hi, I'm using a UINavController together with some UITableViews to display a kind of drill down for some data (e.g. like the Contact App). Works well. The only problem I have is, when I select a cell in the first table view it is highlighted, then the view switches to the next level and then, if I go back to the first level, the cell is still highlighted.   On my web site, I'm trying to accomplishes the fastest page load as possible. I've noticed that it appears my JavaScript are not loading asynchronously. Picture linked below. How my web site works is that it needs to load two external JavaScript files: Google Maps v3 JavaScript, and JQuery JavaScript Once it loads these external javascript files, it then, and only then, can dynamically render the page. The reason why my page can't load until both Google Maps and JQuery are loaded is that - my page, based on the geolocation (using Gmaps) of the user will then display the page based on where they are located (e.g. New York, San Francisco, etc). Meaning, two people in different cities viewing my site will see different frontpages. Question: How can I get my JavaScript files to download asynchronously so that my overall page load time is quicker?

• Arabic SQL query (on Oracle DB) returns empty result

  I have this query (that runs on Oracle 10g database): SELECT ge.*, ge.concept AS glossarypivot FROM s_glossary_entries ge WHERE (ge.glossaryid = '161' OR ge.sourceglossaryid = '161') AND (ge.approved != 0 OR ge.userid = 361) AND concept = '?' ORDER BY ge.concept The query must display all words that begin with the arabic letter "?" but unfortunately, it returns empty result .. However, if I run the same query on the same database which runs on MYSQL, it works well and displays the correct result .. What should I do in order to get this query working the right way on oracle 10 database? P.S. the oracle database character set is : "AL32UTF8" thank you so much in advance

• WPF Datatemplate + ItemsControl each item uses > 1 MB Memory?

  Does that sound right to anyone???? I have an ItemsControl that displays data from a custom object that implements iNotifyPropertyChanged. The DataTemplate consists of: Border 3 buttons 5 textboxes An ellipse A Bindable RichTextBox (custom class that inherits from RichTextBox... so I could make Document a dependency property (to support binding)) Several grids and stackpanels for layout It uses: Styles (stored in a resource dictionary higher up the tree) Styles affect: colors, thicknesses, and text properties: which are data-bound to a "settings" class that implements iNotifyPropertyChanged, so the user can change display settings That's it! So what gives? I've also noticed that when I empty and remove the ItemsControl, memory isn't freed. over 5000 instances of "CommandBindingCollection" and "WeakReference" are CREATED (using ANTS profiler). And huge number of EffectiveValueEntry objects are created too. So really, what gives!!! :-) Thanks for your insight! Management needs this project soon but in its current state, it's unreleasable.

• iPhone SKD make the iPod controller appear

  Hi all, It's been a while I'm consulting stackoverflow, but this time I didn't find any answer :( My question is quite simple :) On an iPhone/iPod touch, play music. Double tap the home button while the music is playing. You will see appear a popup with the play/pause/next/previous buttons and a volume control. Do you know if it's possible to make this popup appear programmatically ? I mean, I would like to add a button in my app that will display the popup, avoiding the user to double tap the home button (most of them doesn't know this shortcut). Thank you in advance !
