• Netbeans Editor Library?

  Netbeans seems to say in several places that it supports a library to just host the "Netbeans editor" widget in some other program. It has some weird documentation that seems to say a lot, but doesn't really say much about how to use it: http://bits.netbeans.org/dev/javadoc/org-netbeans-modules-editor-lib2/architecture-summary.html I can't seem to find any download for the "Netbeans editor library" (1 or 2), and the documentation they provide says to download the entire mercurial repository, which doesn't really help me, since it doesn't tell me what is part of this "library" and what is not. If someone could point me to a download for this library, or some minimal documentation about how to use it, that would be great. I've already seen the blog post here, but it doesn't really help with getting the library, and it seems to be talking about classes which I can't find in the Netbeans sources I downloaded (Maybe a different version?)

  Please list GUI programming libraries, toolkits, frameworks which allow to write GUI apps quickly. I mean in such a way, that GUI is described entirely in a human-readable (and human-writable) plain text file (code) code is terse (1 or 2 lines of code per widget/event pair), suitable for scripting structure and operation of the GUI is evident from the code (nesting of widgets and flow of events) details about how to build the GUI are hidden (things like mainloop, attaching event listeners, etc.) auto-layouts are supported (vboxes, hboxes, etc.) As answers suggest, this may be defined as declarative GUI programming, but it is not necessarily such. Any approach is OK if it works, is easy to use and terse. There are some GUI libraries/toolkits like this. They are listed below. Please extend the list if you see a qualifying toolkit missing.   I am looking for a most efficient way to re-use widgets with different selectors... • Java: attributes order in .jsp getting inversed

  Every single time I've read about the meta tags, the attribute where in this order for the description: <meta name="description" content="..." /> First name, then content. It's also like that in the Google Webmaster documentation. Basically, it's like that everywhere. Now in a .jsp (in XML notation) I've got the following: <meta name="description" content="${metadesc}"/> So it's name first, then content. Yet on the generated webpage, I get this: <meta content="...(200 chars or so here making it a very long line)..." name="description"/> Somehow the attributes have been inversed. Because the content follows the official W3C and Google recommendations, the content is a bit less than 200 characters long, which makes it a major pain to "visually verify" that the name attribute is correctly there (I've got to scroll). Anyway... Why are these attribute not appearing in the order defined in the .jsp? Can I force them to appear in the same order as I wrote them in my .jsp? I realize the resulting tag may be valid... But I can also imagine a lot of very creative ways to have valid tags which users would be very upset about. Does this make any sense to inverse these attributes? EDIT wow, just wow... If I invert the attributes in my .jsp (that is, writing them in the "wrong" order), then they appear as I want them to appear in the generated web page. (Tomcat 6.0.26 btw)

• PHP preg_replace - Don't match within h1 tags

  Hi there. I am using preg_replace to add a link to keywords if they are found within a long HTML string. I don't want to add a link if the keyword is found within h1 tags or strong tags. The below regex nearly works and basically says (I think): If the keyword is not immediately wrapped by either a h1 tag or a strong tag then replace with the keyword that was matched, as a bolded link to google. $result = preg_replace('%(?!<h1>)(?!<strong>)\b(bobs widgets)\b(?!<\/strong>)(?!<\/h1>)%i','<a href="http://www.google.com"><strong>$1</strong></a>', $result, -1); (the reason I don't want to match if in strong tags is because I am recursing through a lot of keywords so don't want to link an already linked keyword on subsequent passes) the above works fine and won't match: <h1>bobs widgets</h1> It will however match the keyword in the following text, because the h1 tag isn't immediately either side of the keyword: <h1>Here are bobs widgets for sale</h1> I need to make the spaces either side optional and have tried adding \s* but that doesn't get me anywhere. I'd be very grateful for a push in the right direction here.

• Is AsParallel() good practice in a web environment?

  I have no doubt that for client applications, AsParallel() will bring some out-of-the-box performance gains. But what if I would use it in a web environment. Let's say I have a widget framework that loops over all widgets to get their data and render output. This would parallelize great no? I do have my doubts on using AsParallel() in this scenario. What if I have a large number of visitors for my site, isn't IIS going to use multiple threads to handle all requests? Aren't there going to be locking issues presented after a while, or threads dying because all processors are in use? It's just a thought, what do you think about this?

LINQ is very non-obvious if you ask me!

  QTableWidget::setItemPrototype says following. "The table widget will use the item prototype clone function when it needs to create a new table item. For example when the user is editing in an empty cell. This is useful when you have a QTableWidgetItem subclass and want to make sure that QTableWidget creates instances of your subclass." How does this actually work as you can pass any of the QTableWidgetItem subclass pointer to setItemPrototype and at run time there is no way you can get the size of an object having just pointer to it?

  I'm getting an error when ever I try to pull down a web page with urllib.urlopen. I've disabled windows firewall and my AV so its not that. I can access the pages in my browser. I even reinstalled python to rule out it being a broken urllib. • Is there a way to disable a label?

  I am using an asp radio button group to list out answers in a form. Here is an example of the structure (I know the text doesn't make sense, bare with me). <asp:RadioButtonList id="Q2" runat="server"> <asp:ListItem Text="Go to <a target='_blank' href='http:www.google.com'>Google</a>" Value="a"></asp:ListItem> <asp:ListItem Text="Go to <a target='_blank' href='http:www.yahoo.com'>Yahoo</a>" Value="a"></asp:ListItem> </asp:RadioButtonList> So I want to be able to click on the links and not have the radiobutton associated with it become selected. In IE it works fine but in Firefox the radio button will be selected when i click on the link. I don't really need the label to actually select the proper radio button so is there a way to just disable them either in javascript or somewhere in the asp or C# code?

A company called Plaxo has a widget that does exactly what I am looking for, BUT: They only support a limited number of data sources (I am most interested in ACT, Salesforce, Outlook, and QuickBooks), and They only support e-mail addresses. • problems importing ttk from tkinter in python 2.7

  I'm working with an example file in a tutorial that asks me to first do two imports: from tkinter import * from tkinter import ttk I get an error. I researched a bit and found that in python 2.7.x I need to capitalize the 't'in tkinter, so I change to: from Tkinter import * from Tkinter import ttk. the first line no longer gives and error, but I still get error: ImportError: cannot import name ttk. I have researched this issue on this site and other places, and cannot seem to understand what this ttk is. I'm further confused by the fact that, when I go to the python interpreter, and I type "help()", then "modules", and then "ttk" it seems to know what it is, and gives me a lot of description, for example: "DESCRIPTION This module provides classes to allow using Tk themed widget set." -however, python won't let me import it.

  I am parsing a log containing nicknames and hostnames. I want to end up with an array that contains the hostname and the latest used nickname. I have the following code, which only creates a list over the hostnames: hostnames = [] # while(parsing): # nick = nick_on_current_line # host = host_on_current_line if host in hostnames: # Hostname is already present. pass else: # Hostname is not present hostnames.append(host) print hostnames # ['[email protected]', '[email protected]', '[email protected]'] I thought it would be nice to end up with something along the lines of the following: # [['[email protected]', 'John'], ['[email protected]', 'Mary'], ['[email protected]', 'Joe']] My problem is finding out if the hostname is present in such a list hostnames = [] # while(parsing): # nick = nick_on_current_line # host = host_on_current_line if host in hostnames[0]: # This doesn't work. # Hostname is already present. # Somehow check if the nick stored together # with the hostname is the latest one else: # Hostname is not present hostnames.append([host, nick]) Are there any easy fix to this, or should I try a different approach? The issue is that google gives a different open id for the return url specified and we have at least 2 different entry points in our application from where open id is configured into our system. When using tycho to build the Application - the following error is thrown: The type org.eclipse.swt.widgets.Button cannot be resolved. It is indirectly referenced from required .class files What I did : In other cases where a "missing requirenments" exception was thrown, which I found - a missing transitive plugin-dependency was the reason. In my case an SWT widget "Button" is missing, so I am trying to import swt. SWT is platform dependant so I am importing swt inside of the product, as described here. Anyway, during compilation the error occurs again. Question: Do someone have any Idea, how to solve this Problem?

• Testing In-App-Billing with not published App

  I have an Android App that uses In-App-Billing to sell Account Managed Items. I tested the App with the static respons ids and everything seems to work. I now want to test the App with real product Ids. I created the App in the Google Play Store and uploaded a draft Version of the App with the correct Permissions. I know created an In-App-Billing item and published the item. At the moment the App is unpublished, the item is created and published and I have a test account that is registered in the Profile of the developer account and is the only account on the device that I use for testing. The App is signed with the same key as the uploaded draft. Edit:I'm testing with Android 4.1 && 4.03 at the moment If I try to buy the item the Google Play Store pops up but shows a dialog with the following method: The item you requested is not available for purchase. How can I test buying the item without publishing the App?

• How to macro-ify ant targets?

  I want to be able to have different targets doing nearly the same thing, as so: ant build <- this would be a normal (default) build ant safari <- building the safari target. That's not an option just yet.) I tried using macrodef, but got a strange error message (even though the message didn't imply it, it think it had to do with putting a target in sequential). I don't want to do ant -Dwhatever=nevermind. Any ideas?
