  Hi, I going to get the command prompt from my C# application to compile some C++ files. Code is like this. private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { string filePath = @"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC\bin\cl.exe"; System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(filePath); } But After i click the button it suddenly comes and disappear. Even its opening two command prompts. I need to Hold it and only one command prompt should appear. Can some one provide me the necessary codes. Thank you.

  Hi, I am using an HP RS232 pole display with the following setting: Char type: USA/Europe (default) Command mode: EPSON (default) Baud rate: 9600, n , 8, 1 (default?) Passthru None (Default) Here's the code using System.IO.Ports; private SerialPort port; port = new SerialPort("COM2", 9600, Parity.None, 8, StopBits.One); port.Handshake = Handshake.None; Port.WriteLine("Welocome to something something"); It has 2 lines consisting of 20 characters each with a total of 40 characters. I have no control how and where the characters get displayed. I would like it to always begin on line 1 position 1 but as I said earlier how would I be able to do that. The same program if I run again and again it moves a character to the left. I have set it to accept ASCII char set and so I am able to type as is visble in the Writeline message

• Problem with Refreshing data in ExpandableListView

  Hi! My problem is when I want to refresh data in ExpandableListView while being in that current activity. I create adapter and when I want to add new data to list I call again constructor of that adapter(it is my private variable) with all new data....and then I call onContentChanged() method to redraw my list. But what happens is that I cant expand my list any more...like it is blocked or something and logcat isn't saying anything... • ActionScript display zero value

  It seems the number Datatype handles zeros and nulls the same. I need to display a zero value on the screen, but AS displays nothing. When it's saved, the value is saved as a zero, and therefore shows up zero on the screen. Is there a way to display the zero value using a new object? public class myObject{ private var numVar:Number } My AS file: var temp:MyObject temp.numVar = 0; When I debug, temp.numVar contains a value of 0, but does not show anything on the UI. If this object is then saved to the DB, and then displayed to the UI, it shows a 0. My question is - how do I get temp.numVar to display 0 before persistenting it to the DB?

However when i deserialise the object from the binary formatter I don't think the string will be interned as the constructor should be called. How should I be ensuring the _name string is interned? ... or will it be interned ok? Say I have the following code: private Bitmap source = new Bitmap (some_stream); Bitmap bmp = new Bitmap(100,100); Rectangle newRect = new Rectangle(0, 0, bmp.Width, bmp.Height); Rectangle toZoom= new Rectangle(0, 0, 10, 10); Graphics g = Graphics.FromImage(bmp); g.DrawImage(source, newRect, toZoom, GraphicsUnit.Pixel); My goal is to zoom-in the 10x10 pixels on the top left corner of the source picture. After I created the graphics object g and called DrawImage: the requested rectangle (toZoom) will be copied to bmp, or will it be displayed on the screen? I am a bit confused, can somebody please clarify?

  I need to access some constants in my jsp, and sadly the EL does not offer any functionality for it. There are some options like the unstandard tag library, but I'd like to keep it a bit more standard. I tried: <%@ page import = "com.jackdane.Constants"%> <c:if test="${object.display == '<%=com.jackdane.Constants.YES %>}'"> //some display logic </c:if> But that doesn't appear to do the trick. It's been a while since I've used an expression so I might have made an error. Any input is appreciated. Edit: To clarify, the constants class is not in my control. It's inside a jar file that I recieved. It contains no getters/setters. Just private static final Strings.

  I've an entity LearningUnit that has an int primary key. Actually, it has nothing more. Entity Concept has the following relationship with it: @ManyToOne @Size(min=1,max=7) private LearningUnit learningUnit; In a constructor of Concept I need to retrieve the LearningUnit with the greatest primary key. If no LearningUnit exists yet I instantiate one. I then set this.learningUnit to the retrieved/instantied. Finally, I call the empty constructor of Concept in a try-catch block, to have the entitymanager do the cardinality check. If an exception is thrown (I expect one in the case that already another 7 Concepts are referring to the same LearningUnit. In that case, I case instantiate a new LearningUnit with a new greater primary key. Please, also point out, if any, clear pitfalls in my outlined algorithm above.

  I created a UserControl with the buttons Save, Close and Cancel. I want to close the form without saving on the Cancel button, prompt a message to save on the Close button and Save without closing on the Save button. Normally, I would have used this.Close() on the Cancel button, but the UserControl doesn't have such an option. So I guess I have to set a property for that. Scrolling down the "Questions that may already have your answer" section, I came across this question: How to close a ChildWindow from an UserControl button loaded inside it? I used the following C# code: private void btnCancel_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { ProjectInfo infoScreen = (ProjectInfo)this.Parent; infoScreen.Close(); } This does the job for one screen, but I wonder if I have to apply this code for all the screen I have?
