• Javascript draw dynamic line

  Hello, I'm looking for Javascript code for letting the user draw a line (on an image). Just as the line tool in Photoshop (for example): The user clicks on the image, drags the mouse (while the line between the start point and the mouse point is dynamically drawn on mouse drag). I would also need a callable function to send the page the start and end coordinates. I've found this very nice script for area selection: http://www.defusion.org.uk/code/javascript-image-cropper-ui-using-prototype-scriptaculous/ and I've found many script for drawing lines (and other shapes in JS), but could not find what I'm looking for. • How to determine direction of navigation from IE WebBrowser (IHtmlWindow2 or Javascript)

  I'm uisng the WPF Web Browser control and when it fires the Navigating event, the event args always contain NavigationMode.New. It should be set to NavigationMode.Back if the user chooses to 'Go Back' from the web control. So its off to the COM ActiveX control underneath to determine the direction of navigation. I've been looking at IHtmlWindow2 and IHtmlDocument2 and IOmHistory, but don't see anything that happens on navigation to tell me if the navigation is caused by going back, forward, a new address, or a refresh. Since IHtmlWindow and Javascript have the same DOM, maybe someone knows how from Javascript. I've also been looking at the IWebBrowser2 interface, but can't find anything there either. Is there an event or property I need to inspect?

  I am experiencing a problem with the following code in some versions of Internet Explorer: #iconautente{ background-image:url('/style/images/spritecommon.png'); /*icona_utente.png*/ background-position:-117px -15px; text-indent:-9000px; width:20px; height:23px; display:inline-block; } <a id="iconautente" href="/admin/index.php">admin</a> In Firefox, IE7 and IE8 under Vista, I see background and no text, as expected. In IE6 and IE8 under XP, the whole image is indented, not text, so the image is not shown. What should be the right behavior? Is there a workaround?

  Hi, I'm trying to convert this c code(http://nashruddin.com/OpenCV_Eye_Detection) to the python code, but in c style, he used cvROI thing, since ROI functions are not supported by python-opencv, I tried cvGetSubRect so Here is the eye detection part of the code : eye_region = cvGetSubRect(image,cvRect(face.x,int(face.y + (face.height/4)),face.width,int(face.height/2))) eyes = cvHaarDetectObjects(eye_region,eyeCascade,memo,1.15,3,0,cvSize(25,15)) for e in eyes: cvRectangle(image, cvPoint( int(e.x), int(e.y)), cvPoint(int(e.x + e.width), int(e.y + e.height)), CV_RGB(0, 255, 0), 1, 8, 0) return image; When I run this code, It draws rectangles irrelevant places. I thought, eye_region coordinates are wrong, and tried some coordinates, but it didn't work. Any idea ? Note :Face detection method works very well, and it's code is same with the eye detection method.

  I have a Enum defined as Type public Enum Type { OneType, TwoType, ThreeType }; Now I bind Type to a drop down Ribbon Control Drop Down Menu in a Ribbon Control that displays each menu with a MenuName with corresponding Image. ( I am using Syncfusion Ribbon Control ). I want that each enum type like ( OneType ) has data template defined that has Name of the menu and corrospending image. How can I define the data template of enum ? Please suggest me the solution, if this is possible !! Please also tell me if its not possible or I am thinking in the wrong direction !!

• How do I translate a point from one rect to a point in a scaled rect?

  I have an image (i) that's been scaled from its original size (rectLarge) to fit a smaller rectangle (rectSmall). Given a point p in rectSmall, how can I translate this to a point in rectLarge. To make this concrete, suppose I have a 20x20 image that's been scaled to a 10x10 rect. The point (1, 1) in the smaller rect should be scaled up to a point in the larger rect (i.e. (2,2)). I'm trying to achieve this with: result.x = point.x * (destRect.size.width / srcRect.size.width ); result.y = point.y * (destRect.size.height / srcRect.size.height); However, the points generated by this code are not correct - they do not map to the appropriate point in the original image. What am I doing wrong?

  Hi, I am trying to retrieve file path for a html file that is embedded in resource (resx file) in VS2008 C# project. I want to give path of this file to native webbrowser control (PIEHtml) to be able to navigate (DTM_NAVIGATE) in my application. I know I can pass the string to this control using DTM_ADDTEXTW but since html text size is so big, I dont want to pass string to the control. I need to somehow extract the file path for this html file embedded inside resource manager. I tried using but this does not give the file path of html inside assembly: private ResourceManager resManager = new ResourceManager("AppName.FolderName.FileName", System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly()); this.lbl.Text = resManager.GetString("StringInResources"); and also read Retrieving Resources in Satellite Assemblies but it did not solve my problem. • Oracle SqlPlus Command Line: There's a way to concatenate set options?

  Heya, I need to set up some SET options in Oracle SQLplus command line program each time I use it, such as SET HEADING OFF and the likes to beautify my results. I found that I always have to input each line separately so Set different options and this is becoming annoying since I need to access it many times a day. I found that there's no way to separate different SET commands with semicolumns because it doesn't accept it: SET HEADING OFF; SET LINESIZE 100; returns an error A solution could be adding them to a control script and create a shell alias, but I know control scripts execute and then exit and don't return you control over the command line. So, anybody knows another solution? Or am I missing something?

• Share data between usercontrols

  On my page I have n-userControls (same control) I need to communicate between them(to be more specific I need to pass one in value) . I don't want to involve the hosting page for that. The controls acts as "pagers" and interact with the paged data on the hostin page via events that hosting page is subscribed to. So when user click on one of the pager and changes it's state, the other control should know about it and change itself accordingly. I can not use VieState because viewstate is per control and so is the controlstate. Can I use Session for that? (session is shared and there is only one value that i need to store) Or maybe there is something better I can use? (no QueryString)

I used the JFileChooser to let the users choose their desired location for saving the file. The problem is unless user explicitly types in the file format, it saves the file with no extension. • MFC CTreeCtrl max visible item text length

  Hello I have an application that outputs large amounts of text data to an MFC tree control. When I call SetItemText() with a long string (larger then 1000+ char) only the first ~250 chars are displayed in the control. But when I call GetItemText() on the item the entire string is returned (1000+ chars) My questions are; Is there a MAX visible string length for a MFC tree control? Is there any way to increase the visible limit? • bitmap button not displaying in 3D style

  Hi, I want to display on my dialog, a bitmap button. I am using the below code CImage image; hr = image.Load(_T("myimage.png")); // just change extension to load jpg bitmap.Attach(image.Detach()); m_button.ModifyStyle(0,BS_BITMAP); m_button.SetBitmap(bitmap); This way bitmap is correctly displayed on button, but the button is not displayed in 3D style as normal buttons would look. I have set owner drawn property to false, still it displaying like this. Any ideas as to what could be wrong? Thanks, Rohit

  Hi, I wrote an application which detects a square within an image. To give you a good understanding of how such an image containing such a square, in this case a marker, could look like: What I get, after the detection, are the coordinates of the four corners of my marker. Now I don't know how to display an object on my marker. The object should have the same rotation/angle/direction as the marker. Are there any papers on how to achieve that, any algorithms that I can use that proofed to be pretty solid/working? It doesn't need to be a working solution, it could be a simple description on how to achieve that or something similar. If you point me at a library or something, it should work under linux, windows is not needed but would be great in case I need to port the application at some point. I already looked at the ARToolkit but they you camera parameter files and more complex matrices while I only got the four corner points and a single image instead of a whole video / camera stream.

I have multiple images floating in the main window, and using mouse I can move image from one corner to other corner of window, left, right, top and bottom. I can't figure out how do I catch an event when a image touches and panel (with trash box image), in the right hand corner. Does anybody knows which event or handler to listen? This is not a drag and drop case since my images are floating so no point using drag and drop. Thank you

• jQuery - How to remove a DOM element BEFORE complete page load

  Now this may seem like a silly question, but I need to know how to remove a DOM element BEFORE it is displayed to the user. In short, I am using a div that has a background image alerting the user to enable javascript before proceeding. If the user has javascript enabled I am using jQuery to remove the DOM element, in this case $(".check-js") which is the div housing the image. Using the conventional methods to unload DOM objects as follows does not work because it waits for the page load to complete, then removes the element, causing the image to flicker on and off each time the page loads: $(function(){ $(".check-js").css( {display:"none"} ) }) I simply want to remove the div if the user has js enabled, and he must never see this div. Any suggestions and I will be grateful, thanks.

But after running program when mouse enter on textBloc, it takes a few Milli-seconds until Mouse-enter event triggers. also all control or better say all control which use mouse-events have this problem. • MouseWheel: Scrolling vs. Zooming

  I've got a Silverlight 4 custom control that basically is several Canvas elements wrapped inside a ScrollViewer. The user can set a property to determine whether to scroll or zoom when using their mouses wheel. In the custom control's MouseWheel event, I check to see if they want to scroll or zoom. If zooming, I determine the delta and modify the custom control's zoom level (which then handles the zooming code for me). The problem is that zooming won't start until the ScrollViewer's current position of the vertical scrollbar is at the top or bottom of the scrollbar. Once their, then the zooming works perfectly. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can prevent scrolling completely so that I only zoom (when the user wants to zoom, that is)? Thanks!

• Android Custom View to Activity communication

  I have a custom control/view that observes the direction of a gesture within its bounds. I would like to send a different message back to the Activity hosting the View depending on the direction of the gesture. I'm having a hard time determine what the right way to do this is. I would think I could raise a custom event in the control and then stick a listener on the control in the activity, but I cannot find any information on custom events in Android. I have geometric shapes like triangle, hexagon, pentagon, diamond, square,parallelogram, rectangle, etc. I have drawn all these shapes using mspaint. i have one picture box, using opendialog i am selecting any of the geometric shapes, into picturebox. I want to identify the shape of the image & extreme points. As it is hand made image, i want to draw a proper image using extreme points.
