  • Change the style of WinForm border?

    - by Dodi300
Is it possible to change the style of a WinForm border? I know that if the border is removed, it takes away the functionality to resize the program. Therefore is there a way to change the style of it? At the moment, I've removed the text from the border, set the "FormBorderStyle" to "SizableToolWindow" and set the "ControlBox" to false. That makes it look like this: But I want it to look something like this, but still be resizeable: (Maybe with a different color line)

  • How do I track the method the user is looking at in VS 2010 IDE as an Addin

    - by Rob
I have been wandering around the object model for VS 2010 and haven't been able to work out the best method for watching what the user is looking at in the main edit window. I know that each Class/method/property is broken down into its own . What I would ideally like is to hook to an event which says "The user has moved the cursor onto Project.Class.Method" and ideally "and is looking at line 4". Any suggestions?

  • Using PHP to read a web page with fsockopen(), but fgets is not working

    - by asdasd
    Im using this code here: http://www.digiways.com/articles/php/httpredirects/ public function ReadHttpFile($strUrl, $iHttpRedirectMaxRecursiveCalls = 5) { // parsing the url getting web server name/IP, path and port. $url = parse_url($strUrl); // setting path to '/' if not present in $strUrl if (isset($url['path']) === false) $url['path'] = '/'; // setting port to default HTTP server port 80 if (isset($url['port']) === false) $url['port'] = 80; // connecting to the server] // reseting class data $this->success = false; unset($this->strFile); unset($this->aHeaderLines); $this->strLocation = $strUrl; $fp = fsockopen ($url['host'], $url['port'], $errno, $errstr, 30); // Return if the socket was not open $this-success is set to false. if (!$fp) return; $header = 'GET / HTTP/1.1\r\n'; $header .= 'Host: '.$url['host'].$url['path']; if (isset($url['query'])) $header .= '?'.$url['query']; $header .= '\r\n'; $header .= 'Connection: Close\r\n\r\n'; // sending the request to the server echo "Header is: ".str_replace('\n', '\n', $header).""; $length = strlen($header); if($length != fwrite($fp, $header, $length)) { echo 'error writing to header, exiting'; return; } // $bHeader is set to true while we receive the HTTP header // and after the empty line (end of HTTP header) it's set to false. $bHeader = true; // continuing untill there's no more text to read from the socket while (!feof($fp)) { echo "in loop"; // reading a line of text from the socket // not more than 8192 symbols. $good = $strLine = fgets($fp, 128); if(!$good) { echo 'bad'; return; } // removing trailing \n and \r characters. $strLine = ereg_replace('[\r\n]', '', $strLine); if ($bHeader == false) $this-strFile .= $strLine.'\n'; else $this-aHeaderLines[] = trim($strLine); if (strlen($strLine) == 0) $bHeader = false; echo "read: $strLine"; return; } echo "after loop"; fclose ($fp); } This is all I get: Header is: GET / HTTP/1.1\r\n Host: www.google.com/\r\n Connection: Close\r\n\r\n in loopbad So it fails the fgets($fp, 128);

  • Feeding PDF through IInternetSession to WebBrowser control - Error

    - by Codesleuth
As related to my previous question, I have developed a temporary asynchronous pluggable protocol with the specific aim to be able to serve PDF documents directly to a WebBrowser control via a database. I need to do this because my limitations include not being able to access the disk other than IsolatedStorage; and a MemoryStream would be far better for serving up PDF documents that average around 31kb. Unfortunately the code doesn't work, and I'm getting an error from the WebBrowser control (i.e. IE): Unable to download . Unable to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later. The line in my code where this occurs is within the following: pOIProtSink.ReportData(BSCF.BSCF_LASTDATANOTIFICATION, (uint)_stream.Length, (uint)_stream.Length); However, if you download the project and run it, you will be able to see the stream is successfully read and passed to the browser, so it seems like there's a problem somewhere to do with the end of reading the data: public uint Read(IntPtr pv, uint cb, out uint pcbRead) { var bytesToRead = Math.Min(cb, _streamBuffer.Length); pcbRead = (uint)_stream.Read(_streamBuffer, 0, (int)bytesToRead); Marshal.Copy(_streamBuffer, 0, pv, (int)pcbRead); return (pcbRead == 0 || pcbRead < cb) ? HRESULT.S_FALSE : HRESULT.S_OK; } Here is the entire sample project: InternetSessionSample.zip (VS2010) I will leave this up for as long as I can to help other people in the future If anyone has any ideas why I might be getting this message and can shed some light on the problem, I would be grateful for the assistance. EDIT: A friend suggested inserting a line that calls the IInternetProtocolSink.ReportProgress with BINDSTATUS_CACHEFILENAMEAVAILABLE pointing at the original file. This prevents it from failing now and shows the PDF in the Adobe Reader control, but means it defeats the purpose of this by having Adobe Reader simply load from the cache file (which I can't provide). See below: pOIProtSink.ReportProgress(BINDSTATUS.BINDSTATUS_CACHEFILENAMEAVAILABLE, @"D:\Visual Studio Solutions\Projects\InternetSessionSample\bin\Debug\sample.pdf"); pOIProtSink.ReportData(BSCF.BSCF_LASTDATANOTIFICATION, (uint)_stream.Length, (uint)_stream.Length); This is progress though, I guess.

  • How to ACTUALLY install Java on Linux?

    - by Camran
I have a Ubuntu Server. From the terminal, how should I install JDK? In this guide it says to use this command: sudo apt-get install sun-java6-bin sun-java6-jre sun-java6-jdk But on Suns website, it says JDK includes the JRE, so why the JRE in the line above? Anybody know how to actually install Java? Every guide and every forum shows different ways of doing it. BTW: It is a VPS (virtual private server) Thanks

  • Using Google Common Collection in GWT

    - by Jeeyoung Kim
This is a simple problem, but I'm having problems with it... I'm trying to use Google common collection's Objects.equal() method in a GWT client code, but I'm keep getting the error "20:12:10.001 [ERROR] [gwt_regex] Line 39: No source code is available for type com.google.common.base.Objects; did you forget to inherit a required module?" Tried to Google for the answer, but couldn't find any answer regarding this - everyone just said "Google collection should work off the box with GWT".

  • Resize an array of images with OpenCV

    - by amr
I'm passing an array of images (IplImage**) to an object in C++ using OpenCV. I'm then trying to iterate over that array and resize them all to a fixed size (150x150) I'm doing it this way: for(int i = 0; i< this->numTrainingFaces; i++) { IplImage* frame_copy = cvCreateImage( cvSize(150,150), this->faceImageArray[0]->depth, this->faceImageArray[0]->nChannels ); cout << "Created image" << endl; cvResize(this->faceImageArray[i], frame_copy); cout << "Resized image" << endl; IplImage* grey_image = cvCreateImage( cvSize( frame_copy->width, frame_copy->height ), IPL_DEPTH_8U, 1 ); cout << "Created grey image" << endl; cvCvtColor( frame_copy, grey_image, CV_RGB2GRAY ); cout << "Converted image" << endl; this->faceImageArray[i] = grey_image; cvReleaseImage(&frame_copy); cvReleaseImage(&grey_image); } But I'm getting this output, and I'm not sure why: Created image Resized image Created grey image Converted image Created image OpenCV Error: Assertion failed (src.type() == dst.type()) in cvResize, file /build/buildd/opencv-2.1.0/src/cv/cvimgwarp.cpp, line 3102 terminate called after throwing an instance of 'cv::Exception' what(): /build/buildd/opencv-2.1.0/src/cv/cvimgwarp.cpp:3102: error: (-215) src.type() == dst.type() in function cvResize Aborted I'm basically just trying to replace the image in the array with the resized one in as few steps as possible. Edit: Revised my code as follows: for(int i = 0; i< this->numTrainingFaces; i++) { IplImage* frame_copy = cvCreateImage( cvSize(150,150), this->faceImageArray[i]->depth, this->faceImageArray[i]->nChannels ); cvResize(this->faceImageArray[i], frame_copy); IplImage* grey_image = cvCreateImage( cvSize( frame_copy->width, frame_copy->height ), IPL_DEPTH_8U, 1 ); cvCvtColor( frame_copy, grey_image, CV_RGB2GRAY ); faceImageArray[i] = cvCreateImage( cvSize(grey_image->width, grey_image->height), grey_image->depth, grey_image->nChannels); cvCopy(grey_image,faceImageArray[i]); cvReleaseImage(&frame_copy); cvReleaseImage(&grey_image); } Then later on I'm performing some PCA, and get this output: OpenCV Error: Null pointer (Null pointer to the written object) in cvWrite, file /build/buildd/opencv-2.1.0/src/cxcore/cxpersistence.cpp, line 4740 But I don't think my code has got to the point where I'm explicitly calling cvWrite, so it must be part of the library. I can give a full implementation if necessary - is there anything in my code that's going to create a null pointer?

  • Seeing release markers in svn log

    - by chuanose
Whenever we make a release of a project we'll create a tag to capture the snapshot. It will be very helpful to be able to see which revisions in the trunk history were used in certain releases. I know the TortoiseSVN revision graph shows this information, but I'm wondering if there's a way to see it in the command-line svn log? I'm coming from a Clearcase background where we'll be able to see the release labels in the history.

  • Problem with include guard

    - by isurulucky
When I add an include guard to my header file for a Visual C++ project, it gives me the following warning and error: warning C4603: '_MAPTEST_H' : macro is not defined or definition is different after precompiled header use Add macro to precompiled header instead of defining here .\MapTest.cpp(6) : use of precompiled header** // the precompiled header stdafx.h is included in this line .\MapTest.cpp(186) : fatal error C1020: unexpected #endif but when I add the precompiled header before the include guard, no warning or error is emitted. What is the reason for this?
