• Firefox in popup window (no address search bar) ctrl-k navigates to google

  In firefox hitting Ctrl+K takes you to the search bar (all fine and good). However in my webmail client (Zimbra) it pops open windows without the address/search bar. Hitting Ctrl+K there (muscle memory from Outlook Web Access) navigates immediately to google.com - hitting back doesn't work from there (Zimbra's all screwed). Is there anyway to disable Ctrl+K navigating to the search provider without changing the normal Ctrl+K to the search-bar behaviour when the search-bar is present? Or better yet force it to actually pop up the search-bar - or highlight in my main browser window's search bar?

• internet connection drops randomly

  hi all I have 3 PC's at home (with Win XP, Win 7 & Win 7) and a router. I am always connected to the internet through the router (PPoE connection). My problem is that sometimes when I want to search or open a page, my browser tells me that the server cannot be reached, as if I don't have a connection to the internet. Other times it logs me out from messenger, but browsing still works. FTP download/upload also works. If i disable and enable the LAN then all works fine. The connection doesn't always drop on all three PC's at the same time. Anyone got any idea besides re-installing OS? thanks

• [.NET] Line break in ListView work in Vista/7 but not in XP

  hi, I've got problem. I'm using ListView to show some data and I need to make two lines in one row. I've found solution to make row higher by adding ImageList with specified height and then I add Environment.NewLine to my text. It works in Vista and 7 but in XP instead of new line there are shown squares. I've been trying to add "\n" "\r\n" and ASCII char 10 but ther were still squares! After few days I still don't know what's wrong and I need your help.

• SMF restarting service whenever there's output?

  I'm trying to add a custom service to SMF's configuration, which seems successful in that the service starts and there is a log file, but therein lies the problem; the service, on start-up, prints some logging messages to the stderr. It seems that SMF is seeing those messages and, believing them to be errors, restarts the service, giving up after a number of tries and leaving the service off. What would be the best way to manage this service with SMF? The logging is needed for diagnosing problems, and would be problematic to disable. Is it possible to configure this service to only restart if the service exists?

  Hi all My application show a ListView with a button which allow user to add an element. When the user clicks on this button, another Activity is started to allow user to populate the new element. When the add is finished, we return to the previous Activity with the ListView and I would like to scroll to the new element. Note that this element is not necessarily at the end of the ListView because there is an "order by" when I retrieve the datas from the database. I know I need the cursor position of the new element to make the ListView scrool to it, but the only info I have about this element is its id, so how to convert this id to cursor position ? Do I have to loop on the cursor to find the position ? Thanks in advance

• How can you determine when the user scrolls to the bottom of a DataGridView?

  I am writing a C# Windows Forms Application in Visual Studio 2008. I have a DataGridView with a lot of data in it. I would like to initially only populate 10,000 rows and add more only when the user scrolls to the bottom. I am handling the DataGridView's Scroll event, but it never seems to raise with the ScrollEventArgs.Type property set to Last, which is the condition I think I need to catch to add more rows. I have read about people having bad experiences with the DataGridView.Scroll event (e.g. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/785200/datagridview-scroll-event-and-scrolleventtype-endscroll), but the solution provided (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/472389/how-can-i-receive-the-scroll-box-type-scroll-events-from-a-datagridview/767603#767603) only adds the ScrollEventArgs.Type property to come back as EndScroll, not Last like I need. Does anybody know how to get the event to raise properly, or another way to accomplish this task?

• YUI Compressor + gzip causes Illegal Character error in jQuery

  When I minify jquery using YUI compressor, it works fine. When I then add gzip compression (and serve this version via mod rewrite), the gzipped version throws this error: illegal character in jquery.min.js on line 1 Line 1 is: ???????M???????????s?8?0???!sz?dKr?=? This results in a "jquery is not defined" error. I am using the following rewrite rules to serve up the gzipped versions: #Check to see if browser can accept gzip files. • Defining where on the page the flowdocument I am printing will 'start' and 'end'

  Dear community. I am almost done with implementing a printing functionality, but I am having trouble getting the last hurdle done with. My problem is, that I am printing some reports, consisting of a header (with information about the person the report is about), a footer (with a page number) and the content in the middle, which is a FlowDocument. Since the flowdocuments can be fairly long, It is very possible that they will span multiple pages. My approach is to make a custom FlowDocumentPaginator which derives from DocumentPaginator. In there i define my header and my footer. However, when I print my page, the flowdocument and my header and footer are on top of eachother. • Android: Getting Error: Conversion to Dalvik format failed

  I am building an app on android and running into an error and while searching on net, came across your posting on this and changed the eclipse.ini to increase Xms and Xmx params but still this error does not go away.   My main controller is a subclass of UITableViewController with a UIToolBar at the bottom and when a row is selected, I'd like to display another view without the toolbar. How can I hide the UIToolBar in the child view? Right now, it's present throughout all child views unless they're created as modal. Toolbar is created in RootController: self.toolbar = [[UIToolbar alloc] init]; // add tool bar items here [self.navigationController.view addSubview:toolbar]; RootController displays its child views as such: UIViewController *controller = [[UIViewController alloc] init...] [self.navigationController pushViewController:controller animated:YES]; RootController is instantiated as such in the app delegate's applicationDidFinishLaunching: RootController *rootcontroller = [[RootController alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewStyleGrouped]; self.navigationController = [[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:rootcontroller]; [rootcontroller release]; [window addSubview:[self.navigationController view]]; If I add the toolbar to [self.view] within RootController instead of navigationController's view, the toolbar disappears alltogether..

• Wireless Repeating with two Netgear N750 (WNDR4300)

  I have a Netgear N750 as my main router, which connects to the internet via a modem. I have a second Netgear N750 which I want to use to repeat the wireless signal of the main router. I logged in to routerlogin of my main router (192.168.1.1) and set up the "Wireless Repeating Function". I set it as the "Wireless Base Station" and filled in the MAC adress of my second Netgear N750. Then I logged in to routerlogin of my second router and set it up as the "Wireless Repeater", I gave it the IP 192.168.1.11 and filled in the MAC adress of the base station. During the setup of the second router (Repeater) I had to disable all security functions. If I connect to the repeaters' WLAN signal, I get no internet connection. Maybe you can help me, thanks

• Dynamic type for List<T>?

  Hi All, I've got a method that returns a List for a DataSet table public static List<string> GetListFromDataTable(DataSet dataSet, string tableName, string rowName) { int count = dataSet.Tables[tableName].Rows.Count; List<string> values = new List<string>(); // Loop through the table and row and add them into the array for (int i = 0; i < count; i++) { values.Add(dataSet.Tables[tableName].Rows[i][rowName].ToString()); } return values; } Is there a way I can dynamically set the datatype for the list and have this one method cater for all datatypes so I can specify upon calling this method that it should be a List<int or List<string> or List<AnythingILike>? Also, what would the return type be when declaring the method? Thanks in advance, Brett

In the add view it works just fine. But the edit view renders the OptionsAndFeatures as blank. • Session Variable Not Being Saved When Using Wizard Control ASP.NET

  I have a wizard control. When someone clicks a button within the wizard control I automatically advance to the next step (rather than forcing them to click next). However, this seems to cause the session state variable not to be saved. I've done some research and noticed that Response.Redirect does hard redirects that truncate page execution - and that you can add a false parameter to prevent this...what I'm wondering is if the wizard control is doing the same thing and if so, if I can add a parameter to this as well? • Remove Setup Project does not delete it from file system using Visual Studio

  Using Visual Studio 2008 - I add a Setup project (from Setup and Deployment Template) and its called by default Setup1. I then decide I don't want this so I right click on the project and select Remove. Later on I decide I want to add a Setup project again but it's default name is called Setup2 and when you look at the project folder you can see the old Setup1 files are still there! Why has Visual Studio not deleted these from the file system when I selected Remove - and is there a way to make it delete them from the file system as default behaviour?

• Multiple CAS servers with Microsoft Exchange and selective authorization

  I have a Microsoft Exchange 2010 organization within one Microsoft Windows domain and I have users accessing it through OWA. For simplicity lets say I currently have one CAS server (CAS 1) which is accessible only through a VPN connection. Lets call the users connecting to the first CAS group a. For some users though, I need to install another CAS server (CAS 2) so that they can connect without using a VPN connection. Lets call those users group b. What I need to achieve is that group a can only log in to CAS 1 and group b can only log in to CAS 2. Now I know that one can disable/enable OWA per user but in my case that is not enough because OWA must be enabled for both groups.
