  • Ember nested route. Load more models

    JsBin http://jsbin.com/EveQOke/153/ I know how to load more then one model to a route, using Ember.RSVP.hash. (see Jsbin Children menu). I use dynamic part to access one elem from a collection children/1. But i cant load more models to a nested resource. In my example i want to populate all the toys for a select, not just list the toys of the child. I have tried to access the model of the route children App.ChildRoute = Ember.Route.extend({ model: function(param){ return Ember.RSVP.hash({ allToys: this.modelFor("children"), child:this.store.find('child', param.child_id) }); } }); and use its model's toy property (since there have already loaded all of the toys) child.hbs <h4>All avaiable toys</h4> <table> {{#each toy in model.allToys.toys}} <tr> <td>{{toy.name}}</td> </tr> {{/each}} </table>

  • Chrome: Dynamically created <style> tag does not have content?

    Hello. I encountered a weird problem when trying to write a cross-browser script. Basically my header looks like this <html> <head> <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script> </head> Then in the body tag: <p id="hey">Hey</p> <input type="button" value="attachStyle" name="attachStyle" onclick="attachStyle();"></input> <script> function attachStyle() { var strVar=""; strVar += "<style type='text\/css'>#hey {border:5px solid red;}<\/script>"; $("head").append(strVar); } </script> The button works in Firefox, but not in Chrome. When I looked at the html DOM elements in the developer tool, the style tag was inserted but without content, like this: <html> <head> <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script> <style type='text/css'></script> </head> I'm curious as to what causes this? And how to create CSS style in a way that is cross-browser? Thanks!

  • Iterating through list of keys for associative array in JSON

    I have an associative array in JSON var dictionary = {"cats":[1,2,37,38,40,32,33,35,39,36], "dogs", [4,5,6,3,2]}; Can I get the keys from this? I tried in Visual studio putting a breakpoint but can't see any property that represents keys. Is it not possible? I'm fine creating a separate array if necessary, but was just hoping it wasnt : var keys = ["cats", "dogs"];

  • Is there a sexier way to write this jQuery selector?

    I want to select all the children of the body element before element with id foo (which is a child of body). Since it doesn't look like there are :before() or :after() selectors, I've got it working like this: $('body > :first').nextUntil('#foo').andSelf(); but it seems kludgy. Could this be done with fewer function calls, or more efficiently? Maybe something akin to $('body > *:before(#foo)') ?

  • jquery load php file - result is not complete

    I'm trying to load or better reload a DIV with content from an included php file. so the file is included in the webadmin.php from the location webadmin/pages.php. Then i alter some data in the DB through serializing. Now I would like to reload the pages.php from the callback of the serialize POST with load();. This all works fine up until the moment the data is supposed to be displayed in the div - i believe its because the php file is loaded from a different location, so the include paths for the DB Connection etc are probably wrong... Should I really write an extra PHP File for jquery or is there a way to tell jquery where to load it from? Its the first time I'm doing this - so bear with me for a moment on this one... Thanks! Since you can't rotate an image you have to rotate the canvas: if I rotate the canvas by a degree the origin around which I want to rotate changes. I don't get how to track this change.   • Google Maps API v3... non-mobile?

    I'm trying to make a Google Maps widget for my website but all of the examples are for full-screen mobile devices. The tutorials work when I copy paste them exactly as shown but they don't seem to work when I want them to only occupy a portion of the page. From what I've read, the v3 is the best API yet (for what I need) because of its speed and compatibility with mobile devices. I plan to make a widget very similar to the MarkerClusterer example from the demo gallery but I can't get it working. Is this a common issue? I know I'm being vague but I would appreciate some help.     Hi all, I've built a web site using jquery to make nice transitions between content. The code works this way: there are 2 imgs (body and footer) when I click on a link (instead of going to another page) I fade out the 2 imgs and change the src attribute of the 2. When the new imgs are loaded I fade them back in. I'm using SWFaddress to allow user go directly to internal content. Now I'd like to make my content indexed by google and other Search engines, all the text content is inside the imgs, So I've got the text in ALT attribute. My question is: if a dinamically change the imgs ALT attribute using JS, will spiders be able to read it properly? consider that I'm using SWFaddress to create a sitemap.. Thanks

For the keydown event when the NumPad0, D0, and Colon key is pressed I would like to know what the associated charcode is. Currently I have a map that contains the charcode associated with that keyCode or use the current if charCode is not specified. keyCode = { Colon: 186, D0: 48, NumPad0: 96, }; charCodes = { 186: 59, 96: 48, }; shiftCharCodes = { 186: 58, 48: 41 }; Also in certain cases the keyCodes are different accross browsers? Example. The keydown event has different keyCode values across browsers.
