• Windows save, open... icons as vector graphics?

  Hello, for my application (WPF) I'd like to use the standard icons for save, open... However, I'm not aware of them being available as vector graphics? So, where can one get them, is it maybe possible to extract them from some DLL files or whatever? Thank you very much!

  printf("/something else/"); //without using \n in printf I know printf() uses a buffer which prints whatever it contains when, in the buffer, "\n" is seen by the buffer. So when we forget to use "\n" in printf ,rarely,buffer will not be emptied.Therefore,printf wont do its job. Am I wrong?

  Hello all, I have a python script and am wondering is there any way that I can ensure that the script run's continuously on a remote computer? Like for example, if the script crashes for whatever reason, is there a way to start it up automatically instead of having to remote desktop. Are there any other factors I have to be aware of? The script will be running on a window's machine.

I ended up doing something else, but the question stayed with me.   Hi there! Right now I'm logging some info of the user in my web app in a log file to observe the usage & interest for some services, but I'm interested in checking that info in a readeable way, so I'm questioning if maybe I shall save that info in a database and then retrieve it to show it in tables or whatever. It's better to log in the database for my purposes? Or logging like now I could select/order the info of the log easily?

  I'm trying to recreate a race condition in a test, so I can try out some solutions. I find that in the threads I create in my test, ActiveRecord always returns 0 for counts and nil for finds. For example, with 3 rows in the table "foos": it "whatever" do puts Foo.count 5.times do Thread.new do puts Foo.count end end end will print 3 0 0 0 0 0 test.log shows the expected query, the expected 6 times: SELECT count(*) AS count_all FROM `active_agents` Any idea what's going on here?

  Some websites have forms with input type="text". And inside these textboxes there is a blurred text, which says for example: "Enter your name here". And then onClick or OnFocus or whatever, the text dissappears and you can type into the textbox. Like the title of posting a question here at stackoverflow, same thing. How is this done easiest way? • Incorrect rotation of a view controller in iOS 6

  In my app I've been using the now deprecated shouldAutoRotateToFace method. Now when using the iOS 6 simulator, all of my subviews are rotated to portrait orientation while the device is in landscape. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this? I've already tried replacing should autorotate in my main view controller with the supportedOrientations method (or whatever it is that you're now supposed to use instead).

  I'm reading the gcc manual at the moment, especially the part about warning/error flags. After reading the part about the -Wextra flag, I wonder if it is useful at all. It seems that it complains about things which seem to be rather subjective or a matter of taste. I'm not that experienced with gcc, I only use it from time to time for some small projects at university, so to all experienced C/C++ (or for whatever language you use gcc), what's the deal with -Wextra?

• Is Pseudo typing in Erlang the way to get types?

  For example, to denote a String I could use: {string,"hjggjhhggJ"} and a list would be: {list, [1,2,3]} : I guess I have found that I am running into situations where I need types, for example to distinguish between strings and lists and I am not sure how to proceed. I do however want to use whatever technique I choose everywhere in my Erlang application for consistency, and not just for strings and lists. Any advice?

• smartif tag not working out correctly

  I'm using the smartif tag from this snippet (I'm holding on with regards to upgrading to 1.2) in my template for a certain boolean field like so: {% if payment.extends_membership == "True" %} {% trans "Yes" %} {% else %} {% trans "No" %} {% endif %} But whatever the value of extends_membership I get only No as the output. What could be the problem?
