• Dynatree multi - selection implementaion ala Windows style

  I would like to implement windows style multi-selection: when user holds CTRL key and selects several nodes of the tree. Dynatree (from here http://wwwendt.de/tech/dynatree/doc/dynatree-doc.html) by default has checkboxes for node selection which my client doesn't seem to like. My question is, is it possible to implement what I need using provided set of callbacks? also, curently, when I hold CTRL key and click on the node, it opens a new window. Is there any way to suppress this functionality? i am guess I would have to do through CSS?

• Visual Studio 2008 macro only works from the Macro IDE, not the Macro Explorer

  Edit: Creating a new module in the same VSMacros project fixed the problem. The following macro only works if I open the Macro IDE from Visual Studio and run the macro from there. It'd be much more useful if I could just right click the macro from the Macro Explorer from my Visual Studio instance. I must be doing something obviously wrong, but I've never worked with VS macros before. The MessageBox does not appear in either case. • AJAX in Drupal Forms?

  How would you go about constructing a step by step form that uses AJAX through Drupal to pull the next form step? For example, Step 1: I like Baseball I don't like Baseball. When that person clicks on either Like or Don't Like, I want to use AJAX to recognize and pull the next part of the form, remove/hide the first section since its not needed, and present the next section. Example: Step 1: I like Baseball *click (fade out) Step 2: My favorite team is __________ The player I like most is __________ What is the best way to do this through Drupal Form API? I know how to build the forms and modules, but I have never used AJAX yet. I know a few things exist out there that are supposed to help, but I wanted to know if anyone here has done it and how they approached it.

• Jquery UI Slider focus issue

  I have a problem with the jQuery UI Slider. The issue also appears on the demo. It is more obvious in Chrome - if you go to http://jqueryui.com/demos/slider/#steps and slide the slider, you'll not see anything wrong. If you then click "New Window" or go to (http://jqueryui.com/demos/slider/steps.html) to view the demo in a new window and try sliding the slider, you'll see the handle of the slider gets a focus box around it during dragging. I am having this problem and I cannot seem to fix it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

• Elmah is only logging 15 Errors

  Hi, I've just starting looking at a site in place at work. They're using Elmah to log errors. It seems to be logging fine, but in the web interface, when I tell Elmah to show me 100 errors per page, it only shows the most recent 15. Then when I click on "Download Log" I only get shown 15 errors in the CSV. Anyone know how I can configure it to keep all the errors? Or can someone point me to some docs on how to do this? Thanks a lot! -Evan

In Firefox or Webkit-based browsers, though, my #content div first shrinks to 0px and then resizes to 300px. I'm using jQuery 1.4.2, Firefox 3.6 and Chrome 4.0.249.89. Any ideas?

  I am trying to get the on screen location of an NSStatusItem so that I can perform a click on that area via code like below. • Open an Excel htm URL via iFrame in a separate browser

  I have some URLs in an Excel file which I have saved as a .htm (webpage) file. I then view these in a browser via our wiki (MediaWiki). This is done using an iFrame embedded in the wiki page. So, just for clarity, the link is in a htm file viewed via an iFrame in a wiki page. When I click on that link, it opens inside the iFrame. What I want is for it to open in a new browser window. (This should be the user's default browser since some use Internet Explorer and some Firefox.) The final twist is that some users have Windows XP and some Solaris. Help greatly appreciated.

• Server Side of UpdatePanel don't understand PartialPostback

  This erros seems to happen randomly and in the whole system. Sometimes when we click in a button, or even try to login, a alert comes up with the "Message cannot be parsed" error. Funny thing is that when I turn on fiddler, the thing stars to function ok. Sniffing the connection via smsniff i was able to capture the traffic of the bugged and working postbacks. The contents were suposed to be rendered in a update panel. It appears that the "bugged" response is the whole page again, what would cause such a thing?   Hi, When I set the backgroundColor for my UITableView it works fine on iPhone (device and simulator) but NOT on the iPad simulator. Instead I get a light grey background for any color I set including groupTableViewBackgroundColor. Steps to reproduce: Create a new navigation-based project. Open RootViewController.xib and set the table view style to "Grouped". Add this responder to the RootViewController:- (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; self.view.backgroundColor = [UIColor blackColor]; } Select Simulator SDK 3.2, build and run. You will get a black background (device and simulator). Select your target in the project tree. Click on Project : Upgrade Current Target for iPad. Build and run.   I have a SlidingDrawer that pops up from the bottom of the screen and fills the screen about 80%. Even though the SlidingDrawer view is in focus, it is still possible to click on items, buttons and other elements in the view that is behind the SlidingDrawer. When SlidingDrawer is active/pulled up/in focus, I want to disable the entire view behind it so it will not be able to recieve clicks and touches. Is there a good way to disable an entire view? I have tried setEnable(false) and setClickable(false) but neither of them work. Help?

  I'd like to use a modalpopupextender in my asp.net page to show a sub form. But it only has to show on specific conditions. Those conditions are determined in a piece of javascript code. So, most importantly, the modal popup doesn't have to show on a button click. However, if I leave the property TargetControlID empty I get the following exception: The TargetControlID of 'ModalPopupExtender1' is not valid. The value cannot be null or empty. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.InvalidOperationException: The TargetControlID of 'ModalPopupExtender1' is not valid. The value cannot be null or empty. Do I just have the TargetControlID to an hidden button or is there aslo a more decent option? Thanks.

  I don't have an iPad yet to find this out; have had only a brief opportunity to look at one at the Apple store. Could someone please describe what, if anything, happens to the mouseOver event of an image-map area when the image-map|area has had user-select disabled with "webkit-user-select: none" in the CSS, as described here in section 5: http://developer.apple.com/safari/library/technotes/tn2010/tn2262/index.html When a finger tip is placed on the image-map area and held there (i.e.not a tap) is the mouseOver eventhandler invoked under those circumstances? Or does nothing happen other than the image-map area doesn't change color because it's now unselectable? In my brief experience with the iPad at the Apple store, when user-select is not disabled, and the image-map area has a mouseOver eventhandler, a tap fires the mouseOver event rather than the click event.   I have a facebook Iframe application with multiple PHP pages in it. I have some links that point relatively to the files inside my "iframe folder". This works just fine In FFox, IE and Chrome. The problem here is that in Safari the links are not working at all. What happens when you click on a link is that the whole page (parent AND iframe) gets loaded inside the iframe.   I have an application that displays the data from 3 xml files (auto generated from SQL table) using httpservices to get them. The first xml file is small and contains around 30 items, the second and thrid contain around 200-300 items each. The first dataset loads quickly and is invoked on creationComplete. The second and third are called from click events and take quite a few seconds to load. A user of the application will take at least 2-3 minutes reading the data from the first dataset so is there a way I can have the httpservice.send for the second and third xml files called automatically, straight after the first file has finished loading to be able to show the first dataset immediateley and get rid of the waiting times between dataset views. An answer doesnt need to be specific, just a point in the right direction would be great. All answers greatly appreciated Matt
