• How do I get fluent nhibernate to create a varbinary(max) field in sql server

  Hi, How can I get fluent nhibernate to create a varbinary field in a sql server 2005 table that uses a field size of varbinary(max)? At the moment I always get a default of varbinary(8000), which isn't big enough as i'm going to be storing image files. I've tried using CAstle.ActiveRecord but havent had any success yet. • How to include text files with Executable Jar

  Hi guys rookie Java question. I have a Java project and I want to include a text file with the executable jar. Right now the text file is in the default package. InputFlatFile currentFile = new InputFlatFile("src/theFile.txt"); I grab the file with that line as you can see using src. However this doesn't work with the executable jar. Can someone please let me know how to keep this file with the executable jar so someone using the program can just click a single icon and run the program. Thanks!

• Spring MVC annotation config problem

  I'm trying to improve my spring mvc configuration so as to not require a new config file for every servlet I add, but I'm running into problems. I've tried using this tutorial as a starting point, but I'm running into an issue that I can't figure out. The problem is that when I do a GET to my servlet, I get back a 404 error.   I am developing a website in MVC 2.0. I want to change the View folder location in my website. I wanted to keep the views folder inside other folders, When I try to do so i am getting following errors The view 'Index' or its master was not found. The following locations were searched: ~/Views/Search/Index.aspx ~/Views/Search/Index.ascx ~/Views/Shared/Index.aspx ~/Views/Shared/Index.ascx Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. My Views folder will be in ~/XYZ/ABC/Views instead of ~/Views. Please solve my problem. Will I get any problems If I change the default Views folder location. Do I need to change anything in HTML Helper classes because I don't know anything in MVC as this is my starting project i dont want to risk..Please help me out...

  Stackoverflow uses OpenId as many other websites. However, I rarely need to provide my OpenId to Stackoverflow while with other OpenId enabled websites, I have to do it once a day or week. This suggests to me that the expiry of the session is with the website and not the OpenId provider. Looking at the DotNetOpenId code in ASP MVC, I can see that after a successful authentication by the OpenId provider FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie is called with the identifier and a boolean parameter to determine if the cookie should be persisted. How can I force this cookie to expire, say in 2020 instead of whatever the default value is.

• Setting session timezone with spring jdbc oracle

  Hello I have a spring/jdbc/oracle 10g application. The Oracle server database timezone is set to GMT + 2 JVM timezone is GMT + 2 (even though it doesn't matter in my case). I have a stored procedure that performs some date operations. The problem is that session timezone is different(GMT) than database timezone even though I do not set session timezone explicit in my code/configuration. As far as I know the session timezone is by default equal to database timezone. Any idea why is the session timezone different than database timezone or how can I configure it in spring configuration (org.apache.commons.dbcp.BasicDataSource) ? Thank you.

• Quick question regarding CSS sprites and memory usage

  Well, it's more to do with images and memory in general. If I use the same image multiple times on a page, will each image be consolidated in memory? Or will each image use a seperate amount of memory? I'm concerned about this because I'm building a skinning system for a Windows Desktop Gadget, and I'm looking at spriting the images in the default skin so that I can keep the file system looking clean. At the same time I want to try and keep the memory footprint to a minimum. If I end up with a single file containing 100 images and re-use that image 100 times across the gadget I don't want to have performance issues. Cheers.

  My question is similar to this one but none of the answers solve my problem: Use JQuery preventDefault(), but still add the path to the URL When a user clicks a fragment link, I need to remove the default behaviour of jumping to the fragment but still add the fragment to the URL. This code (taken from the link) will fire the animation, and then add the fragment to the URL.   I want to make my avl tree support adding duplicates but there is a problem with the default behavior of the binary search tree with duplicates that the rotation could make nodes with equal key be on the left and the right of the parent for example adding A,A,A will cause the tree to do a rotation to be something like that A / \ A A so getting all the entries with that key will be a problem...and searching in both direction is not something good the solution that i have thought of is making each node stores an array of duplicates so when adding a new item that already exists will be just adding a new item to the array , removing item with key will delete the whole node while the find all items with key will return that array. are there are any other methods to handle duplicates ?

  I have a question about the returnUrl querystring parameter that is appended by ASP.Net when attempted to hit a page that requires authentication. In looking at Microsoft NerdDinner Sample's LogOn action (along with every other 'sample authentication code' I see on the 'net), it just has the ReturnUrl parameter declared in the action's signature and uses it directly in a Redirect() call. However, back in the WebForms days and using Membership Controls, we use to use the FormsAuthentication.GetReturnUrl() call. Besides returning the 'default url' if no url was specified in the querystring, it also does a few security checks (Cross App Redirect and 'IsDangerousUrl()'). Are those no longer a concern or are all the sample 'log on' actions I'm seeing all over the 'net just ignoring those issues?

• Insert lecture number and page number of lecture in footline

  I am dividing a semester's worth of lectures via the \lecture command. I'd like to have in the footline (among other things) the lecture number, date, and page number of the current lecture. I would also like to use the default style footline, with the black box on the left and the blue on the right. So I define a lecture with e.g. \lecture{January 28, 2010}{lecture01} with \title[Lecture \insertlecturenumber{}(\insertlecture)\quad{}Page \insertframenumber]{Course Title} in the preamble, I get an error; it will not accept \insertlecture there. If I remove \insertlecture, it does what I want, except that the page number is counted from the start of the semester, not the lecture. Is there any way to do this? Thank you. Liam

• Best way to produce automated exports in tab-delimited form from Teradata?

  I would like to be able to produce a file by running a command or batch which basically exports a table or view (SELECT * FROM tbl), in text form (default conversions to text for dates, numbers, etc are fine), tab-delimited, with NULLs being converted to empty field (i.e. a NULL colum would have no space between tab characters, with appropriate line termination (CRLF or Windows), preferably also with column headings. This is the same export I can get in SQL Assistant 12.0, but choosing the export option, using tab delimiter, setting my NULL value to '' and including column headings. I have been unable to find the right combination of options - the closest I have gotten is by building a single column with CAST and '09'XC, but the rows still have a leading 2-byte length indicator in most settings I have tried. I would prefer not to have to build large strings for the various different tables.

Even Annie that runs so well in gate doesn't run, or better, it stay for indefinite time processing, a thing that should take no more than a couple of seconds.   I just wanted to get the general consensus on which is a better mode of event delegation in JS between bubbling and capturing. Now I understand that depending on a particular use-case, one might want to use capturing phase over bubbling or vice versa but I want to understand what delegation mode is preferred for most general cases and why (to me it seems bubbling mode). Or to put it in other words, is there a reason behind W3C addEventListener implementation to favor the bubbling mode. [capturing is initiated only when you specify the 3rd parameter and its true. However, you can forget that 3rd param and bubbling mode is kicked in] I looked up the JQuery's bind function to get an answer to my question and it seems it doesn't even support events in capture phase (it seems to me because of IE not support capturing mode). So looks like bubbling mode is the default choice but why?

• Entity Framework Custom T4 Template

  Hello, I am using the Entity Framework 4.0 and I am trying to extend my POCO classes generated by the standart T4 template with some custom properties. The classes which are generated by default from EF (without T4) contain 2 properties for every navigation property - NavigationPropertyId and navigationPropertyReference. What I am trying to do is basically extend the generated POCO class with an "Id" property of the foreign key object. I know that I can do that by editing the POCO t4 template. However I have no idea how I can populate/persist the property - I guess I have to somehow extend/modify the method than converts the object to a sql query and vice versa, but I have no idea where to start. Can anyone help? Edit: I just found out, that the EF team has planned to implement something like this - http://blogs.msdn.com/efdesign/archive/2010/03/10/poco-template-code-generation-options.aspx (see Basic POCO with/without Fixup), however this can take ages, so I rather implement it myself.

  I would like to implement windows style multi-selection: when user holds CTRL key and selects several nodes of the tree. Dynatree (from here http://wwwendt.de/tech/dynatree/doc/dynatree-doc.html) by default has checkboxes for node selection which my client doesn't seem to like. My question is, is it possible to implement what I need using provided set of callbacks? also, curently, when I hold CTRL key and click on the node, it opens a new window. Is there any way to suppress this functionality? i am guess I would have to do through CSS?

  I have a model that has a pickled set of strings. Obviously the user won't be working with the pickled string directly. Also, the interface would need a widget for adding/removing strings from a set. What is the best way to go about doing this? I'm not super familiar with Django's admin system. Do I need to build a custom admin widget or something?
