  • How can user change the jre parameter values after the exe is generated in Launch4j?

    Is it possible to change the jre parameter values after the exe file is generated through Launch4j? The ideal scenario is like this: The default parameter values are applied when the program is started. However, when the user wants to change some jre parameter values, he goes to a .ini file, MyProgram.ini for example, changes the values there, and the new values will be applied next time the program is started. I think eclipse uses the same way for its memory and some other parameter settings.

  • IIS 7 + Tomcat 7 - how to reach http://localhost:8080/my_app under e.g. http://my_app.local

    In brief: IIS 7 + Apache Tomcat 7 + isapi_redirect.dll: I have a deployed and working Tomcat-application available under http://localhost:8080/my_app. I would like to see the same content under http://my_app.local (and NOT the default Tomcat-site [which you can see below]). How can I do that? Longer explained: I have IIS 7 (7.5.7600.16385) and Apache Tomcat/7.0.22 installed. I deployed an application (let's call it "my_app") in Tomcat, which now can be reached at http://localhost:8080/my_app, works fine. I added a new web site in IIS panel with the path of the Tomcat deployed my_app, which looks like this: "c:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 7.0\webapps\my_app" I binded the host name my_app.local. After that, I configured isapi_redirect.dll like this (or that). Now, when I open http://my_app.local, I can see the default Tomcat site (see below). BUT under http://my_app.local I would like to see the same content as under http://localhost:8080/my_app. How can I do that?     I am using STS2.5.5 with jdk 1.6 in my system with 32 BIT winx Xp it was working fine for few HRs when i installed it for the first time, after that when i restart STS it started showing exception Failed Initialize when i start the TC it throws hte exception error occurred during initialization of vm could not reserve enough space for object heap eclipse It is working fine in another system with same config, to resolve this if i delete STS and reinstall STS it works fine but again throws same error if i close STS and open it can anybody help me, i am also not able to change the size in my sts.ini if i increase memory and start STS then it will not start.

  • Access keystore on Sun ONE Webserver 6.1 for 2048 bit key length SSL

    We want to get 2048 bit key length CSR requests. The browser based GUI provides us with a 1024 bit CSR and I don't know how to change that. It seems that 1024 bit key lengths will no longer supported by SSL companies. (Lower cost options only support 2048 bit. Thawte who is much more expensive say they accept 1024 for only one or two year certificates, but not 3). The legacy systems in question are running Sun ONE Webserver 6.1. Upgrading would be time consuming and we would rather not have to do that right now. We will be phasing these out but it will take awhile, so...   • Connecting jconsole using SOCKS to Amazon EC2

    I'm trying to use jconsole to view stats on an EC2 instance by using a socks proxy created by SSH. I've tried the various scripts mentioned in the links below but to no avail: http://simplygenius.com/2010/08/jconsole-via-socks-ssh-tunnel.html http://gabrielcain.com/blog/2010/11/02/using-ssh-proxying-to-connect-jconsole-to-remote-cassandra-instances/ I'm running ssh -f -ND 8123 myuser@mymachine and verified that at least Firefox goes through it as a proxy. I then run jconsole -J-DsocksProxyHost=localhost -J-DsocksProxyPort=8123 service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi://ec2-XX-XX-XXX-XXX.compute-1.amazonaws.com:8080/jmxrmi I run netstat -n on my EC2 instance and I see a connection created by my machine. However, the connection eventually disappears and I get a 'channel 2: open failed: connect failed: Operation timed out' from my ssh tunnel. I've opened the jmx port through the security group and I've checked the port on the EC2 instance to make sure it's open (by telnet-ing to it). I'm not sure where to look next. Are there some properties in sshd_config or ssh_config I need to enable for tunneling? Or anything in Mac OS X? I feel like a serious noob but sys administration is really not my strong point. I've spent several hours and can't get this to work.

  • Running Sonatype Nexus in Tomcat 7.0, Tomcat blocking PUT requests

    I was previously running Nexus 1.8 on OSX and uploading jars for releases without any issues. The OSX box died, so I moved to a FreeBSD server. Since Nexus doesn't have binaries for FreeBSD, I decided to run it in my Tomcat container. Now, I have set up Nexus 1.9 in Tomcat 7.0 on FreeBSD. Everything is working well, except I can't upload jars to my release or snapshot repositories. If I try via Hudson, I get a 401 error (and no further details). If I try manually via curl, I get an error message back from Tomcat: "This request requires HTTP authentication.". Why is Tomcat giving this error, and how do I stop it? If I look in the Nexus logs I can see that the PUT request doesn't even reach Nexus, Tomcat is intercepting it.

    I am developing an application which uses embedded tomcat server 7, and deploys a web application on embedded server. My application accesses the embedded webapp through Rest APIs, but my clients are getting Connection Timed Out exceptions and port is also not blocked. I never gets this exception when I install this application on my local machine. Some points: IP address is used in the host name part (They are able to access this IP address on other port) Port is not blocked We are using Apache HttpClient library to access the URL Timeout interval seems not to be an issue. What are the possible reasons for this exception Connection Timed Out? or How can I simulate this problem on my local machine? Any pointers would be helpful.

  • Why does Tomcat try to use the cache when compilation failed?

    For some reason, it appears Tomcat is trying to hit its compilation cache when compilation failed. For example, if I create a JSP containing nothing but Hello, <%=world%>!, predictably, I get an error: org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP. Subsequent requests however alternate between this and org.apache.jasper.JasperException: org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to load class for JSP. Further, if I create a JSP containing Hello!, it of course works just fine. If I modify it contain Hello, <%=name%>!, the response alternates between the previously-mentioned compilation error, and the cached Hello!. What's going on?

Last friday we installed some windows updates. After the reboot tomcat doesnt start with error: Error occurred during initialization of VM Could not reserve enough space for object heap We reduced the parameter -Xmx1024m to -Xmx768m and now tomcat starts.     I have a server JAR that is deployed once per customer, it is the API server for their software package. To that end, the port for each API instance must be the same, so that anything programmed against it can always find it. Each instance is deployed on a different domain name The problem I'm having is that, even when using a SelectChannelConnector and setting the host property, I can't get two instances to run simultaneously, I get a BindException with "Address already in use". I suppose my question is: can Jetty do this, or do I need to do some external re-writing, or is there a better way I can go about achieving the same ends? Thanks.

    Hi, I try to apply flattened css to xhtml (which get from websites). I am using css4j-0.12.1.jar (from http://www.informatica.info/projects/css/) to process the url html content. For a few urls the code seems to be hang. Even no exception is thrown. For a particular stylableelement or style code doesnot return any value and hangs. For a few websites code hang in, CSSStyleDeclaration.getPropertyValue(style); and for a few websites code hang in, CSSStylableElement.getComputedStyle(); I am using the latest jar. Could you please update me, is there any known issue or fix for this. I am not sure where to post this issue. If anyone knows please update me. Thanks in Advance.

    I have WebLogic 11g installed on my machine under /srv/wls, and I start Node manager on it with /srv/wls/wlserver_10.3/server/bin/startNodeManager.sh. I create my domain with config.sh, and then I want to start the Admin Server of that domain with Node Manager. So I open a WLST session and do the following: > nmConnect(...) > nmStart('AdminServer') But when I then visit localhost:7001/console, and login, the screen on the browser remains blank and the server logs tell me the server has run out of PermGen space. I don't encounter this problem when starting the Admin Server through the shell script under $DOMAIN/startWebLogic.sh. Then it works fine. Any idea what I am doing wrong? I couldn't find anything in Google nor on the Oracle forums...

  • How to determine which source files are required for an Eclipse run configuration

    When writing code in an Eclipse project, I'm usually quite messy and undisciplined in how I create and organize my classes, at least in the early hacky and experimental stages. In particular, I create more than one class with a main method for testing different ideas that share most of the same classes. If I come up with something like a useful app, I can export it to a runnable jar so I can share it with friends. But this simply packs up the whole project, which can become several megabytes big if I'm relying on large library such as httpclient. Also, if I decide to refactor my lump of code into several projects once I work out what works, and I can't remember which source files are used in a particular run configuration, all I can do it copy the main class to a new project and then keep copying missing types till the new project compiles. Is there a way in Eclipse to determine which classes are actually used in a particular run configuration?

I am running a web app on Tomcat at the following location on my server. /var/tomcat/webapps/SoccerApp I am looking to update the Tomcat httpd.conf file with the following virtual host... <VirtualHost *:80> DocumentRoot /var/tomcat/webapps/SoccerApp/MyTeam ServerName www.mysoccerapp.com </VirtualHost> This gives me a 404 error as the directory MyTeam does not exist. However my application behaves in a way that it uses this URL directory as the name of the soccer team for which to display data, so it will never be a physical folder on the server. None the less, I would like www.mysoccerapp.com to resolve to webapps/SoccerApp/MyTeam, even though the directory isnt there. does this make any sense? Any ideas on how to get this working. At the end of the day, i want to do the following... www.teamone.com -> runs /webapps/SoccerApp/TeamOne www.teamone.com -> runs /webapps/SoccerApp/TeamTwo ...where TeamOne and TeamTwo are not physical directories, but merely processed by my SoccerApp application as the current soccer team to display data for.     I am using Postgresql 9.0 with Streaming replication. So, during switchover I follow these steps:- Get the server timestamp on primary. Get the current log position on primary. Set Verify Log location Verify Transaction Received Location Shutdown DB on production. Synchronize the transaction logs from PR to DR. Trigger a failover on the DR Database by creating the trigger file specified in recovery.conf Verify DB Mode on DR Copy the control file from from DR to primary. copy the temporary stats file from DR to primary. copy the history file from DR to primary. Create recovery.conf file. Start Database in standby mode in primary. Verify DB mode on PR At step (6), I have to copy last wal generated on Primary to standby and sync both PR and standby. but this thing takes time to copy files because this remote. So that postgres will keep seraching for wal for long time and after that it stops the server. So I want to know is there any way so that I can ask postgres to stop seraching or locating WAL after shutdown??? because postgres tries to locate this wal every 5 seconds. Please reply as soon as possible..its urgent...
