  Hi, can anyone post an example how to read the messagestore on a windows mobile device 6? I would like to do this with OpenNetCF or mapidotnet, if possible. But I didn't figure out how to do this with OpenNetCF and mapitdotnet isn't available anymore on the sourceforge site (http://sourceforge.net/projects/mapidotnet/). I only found it on the svn directory, but there are no dlls.

• File modified date/time changes when uploaded via FTP

  Hey /g/, FTP/PHP question here. On one of my pages I load .txt files from a directory. Pretty simple. I also display the modified date of the text file using this: date('m/d/Y', filemtime($file)); This works fine on my WAMP server but when I upload the files via FTP, the modified date is changed to when they were uploaded. I'm currently hosting on a free hosting provider (freehostia to be exact). Is there any way to keep the modified date/time from changing when it's uploaded? Or is there perhaps an alternative way to go about this? Any ideas are appreciated.

  This is somewhat of a simple question, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to exclude something from a zsh for loop. For instance, let's say we have this: for $package in /home/user/settings/* do # do stuff done Let's say that in /home/user/settings/, there is a particular directory ("os") that I want to ignore. Logically, I tried the following variations: for $package in /home/user/settings/^os (works w/ "ls", but not with a foor loop) for $package in /home/user/settings/*^os for $package in /home/user/settings/^os* ...but none of those seem to work. Could someone steer my syntax in the right direction?

  Hello, I have a index.php file that will include several external files: "content/templates/id1/template.php" "content/templates/id2/template.php" "content/templates/id3/template.php" etc. All these files are loaded dynamically into index.php (it reads all folders inside "templates" directory and then includes every "template.php" file). I want to make "template.php" to have the same code in all the "id1,id2,id3" folders, BUT to load values from index.php depending in which folder it stays.. How can I do that? Thank You!

• Is it possible to create a Windows shortcut using PHP?

  I'm writing a script to tidy up a bunch of media spread across my hard drives, and it works pretty well so far at home (on my Mac) as I use symlinks in a directory to give the impression that everything is organised in one location, whilst the actual data is spread across the 4 drives. Unfortunately, I have to use Windows at work, and of course there's no symlink support there until PHP 5.3 (and I assume that requires Vista as that's when the command-line tool "mklink" first appeared). As a workaround, I considered creating a shortcut, but I can't find a way of doing it. Is it possible, or is there a better solution I've not considered?

• More efficient way to find & tar millions of files

  I've got a job running on my server at the command line prompt for a two days now: find data/ -name filepattern-*2009* -exec tar uf 2008.tar {} ; It is taking forever, and then some. Yes, there are millions of files in the target directory. But just running... find data/ -name filepattern-*2009* -print > filesOfInterest.txt ...takes only two hours or so. At the rate my job is running, it won't be finished for a couple of weeks.. That seems unreasonable. Is there a more efficient to do this? Maybe with a more complicated bash script? A secondary questions is "why is my current approach so slow?"

• Passing arguments stored in a file when running projects in Netbeans

  My problem is that I can't remember how I can pass the arguments when running a project in netbeans. There is not enough documentation on web if anybody could help it would be highly appreciated. Here is what I know, you can change the run configurations under run Set Project Configuration Default Configuration there there is a entry space where zou can enter the arguments to be passed. I have a file called "AsciiShop.java" which to be runned and I need to pass the arguments stored in a file called "asciishop-A04-PP.i1". When I am using terminal or cmd.exe I can run the program with java AsciiShop < asciishop-A04-PP.i1 and it works perfect. I want to be able to the same on netbeans. I have placed the file in the default working directory which contains src and bin folders. What should I write in the arguments entry field on the project configurations window, so that it works same like java AsciiShop < asciishop-A04-PP.i1

• While saving a PNG image using NSData writetofile saves corrupted data on the iphone disk

  I have a number of images (PNG,GIF and JPG) in my Application Resource Bundle. I want some images to be saved in my Documents Directory so i use : imgPath=[documentsDirectoryPath stringByAppendingPathComponent:@"myImage.png"]; if (![fileMgr fileExistsAtPath:imgPath]) { [[fileMgr contentsAtPath:[[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"myImage"ofType:@"png"]] writeToFile:imgPath atomically:NO]; } This saves an Image file on my desired Path but this file has an Extra 300 bytes (of maybe junk data) in it which results in a corrupted image... Am i doing something wrong here? This works in the simulator but on the real device the image has some extra 300 bytes. Also a GIF image gets copied nicely and works but this problem occurs for PNG image.

• Passenger, Apache and avoiding page caching

  I'm hosting a rack application with passenger and apache. The application is setup to cache the content of each request to the public directory after each request. This allows apache to serve the content directly as a static page for future requests. I would like to tell Apache, presumably through some rewrite rules that any requests with query parameters should not be cached, but instead passed down to the rack application. With a mongrel setup I would just redirect it to the balancer if it meets my rewrite conditions. How do you do the same with passenger?

I think this is strange since calling ggplot directly produces the right plot: i <- 2 ggplot(diamonds, aes(x=diamonds[,i]))+geom_bar()+xlab(names(diamonds)[i]) I don't really know how to describe this as a fitting title - suggestions as to a more descriptive question-title is most welcome.   I am developing a Java project using Eclipse. The project uses another project called engine, which I have added in my project build-path. As I need to call a dabo class, called House, in one of my project class, named Window, I have used the following code as usual: import ee.asus.kernel.House; I got however the following error in compiling time: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.Error: Unresolved compilation problems: The import ee cannot be resolved House cannot be resolved to a type House cannot be resolved to a type House cannot be resolved to a type at main.ee.asus.GUI.FrameWindow.Window.<init>(Window.java:10) at main.ee.asus.GUI.StartApplication.main(StartApplication.java:13) It's worth to point out that my prject and the dabo project use the same directory/packages names. • Can Atom be used for things besides syndication feeds?

  Purely in terms of its conceptual model, is the purpose of Atom (and RSS) only to provide a time-sequential series of frequently-updated items, such as "most recent blog posts" or "last twenty SVN commits," or can Atom be legitimately used to represent static and/or non-time-sequential listings/indices? As an example, "index of files under this directory", "dog breeds" or "music genres". Even if there's a date associated with the items, like a file's last modified date, what if you don't necessarily want time to be the primary consideration when you represent that model to your users? The context for this is passing around (generating and consuming) lists of things in a REST-ful environment, hopefully using a well-understood format, where "date something was created/updated" is a pertinent detail, but not the primary consideration. I realize there's probably no right answer, but wanted to get some perspectives. Thanks.

Why are assemblies repeated there?

• Determining Excel spreadsheet format before Data Flow Task

  I'm working on an SSIS package which uses a for each loop to iterate through excel files in a directory and a data flow task to import them. The issue I'm having is that the project manager I'm working with doesn't think the users will always follow the structure. So if a file is in the folder and the package tries to import it but the spreadsheet is missing columns or has extra columns it generates and error of course. Even though I have the task set to not fail the package; the package does indeed fail and then the other files aren't imported. So, I'm wondering what is the easiest way to either determine the spreadsheet is incorrectly formatted, or stop the error from failing the package execution? After taking said step I would just use a file copy task to move the file to a "Failure" folder. Then continue on processing the spreadsheets.

I can generate text files with the elements i wanted but not all xml files can be generated. Only some of them are generated. Something might be wrong with my parser so help out please thanks. • Netbeans PHP require_once() problem

  I'm stumped! In PHP in Netbeans (6.8), a project has two files, file1.php and file2.php file1.php starts require_once('file2.php'); and I get Warning: require_once(query_form.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\xampp\htdocs\my_project\file1.php on line 3 Call Stack: 0.0741 322920 1. {main}() C:\xampp\htdocs\my_project\file1.php:0 Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required 'file2.php' (include_path='.;\xampp\php\PEAR') in C:\xampp\htdocs\my_project\file1.php on line 3 Call Stack: 0.0741 322920 1. {main}() C:\xampp\htdocs\my_project\file1.php:0 I tried require_once('./file2.php'); and require_once('.\file2.php'); since it is windows. I even added C:\xampp\htdocs\my_project\ to the projects include path and it shows up as such on the prject view and see file1.php and file2.php It doesn't show up on this error report, but possibly because Netbeans (or PHP ]) knows that C:\xampp\htdocs\my_project\ === . Any suggestions? Btw, I am new to Netbeans, so it i sprobably something very obvious.

• UDF function with library dependencies on MySQL 5.1

  I'm having a problem with a MySQL UDF function (mychem.sourceforge.net) that's dependent on a large library (openbabel.org) which is in turn plugin based. The problem is that the format plugins to openbabel doesn't seem to load in MySQL 5.1 and I suspect it might be due to the plugin_dir setting. I have set plugin_dir to /usr/lib/ which is the location for both libmychem.so and libopenbabel.so as well as the directory openbabel that contains the format plugins. Is there a way to turn off the plugin_dir restriction in MySQL (preferably without compiling MySQL from sources) so that I can test this hypothesis or do you have a different idea on what might cause the problem? All this is done on Ubuntu 10.04 (but I had the same kind of problems on 8.04, where I managed to get it working after a lot of steps that I unfortunately have forgotten...) I have turned off apparmor during testing and it doesn't help either.

• $(MSBuildStartupDirectory) in Visual Studio points to different places on different machines

  In a large solution, I'm integrating Gendarme into Visual Studio 2008 compilation process. I am using GendarmeMsBuild task along with a .targets file to add a AfterBuild target to every project in the solution. I am looking for a way to import this file into .csproj files in a way that wouldn't require me to change the include path (the projects have different nesting levels). Apart from using NuGet SolutionDir variable, best way to solve this seemed to be to use $(MSBuildStartupDirectory). However, as it turns out, on some machines, using the same version of VS 2008 (as same updates installed, as far as I was able to check) this resolves to the solution directory, and on others to c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE. How can I either get this to always resolve to the solution folder or obtain the base folder in another consistent way?

• CSS gaps between image links for no reason

  Hi, I've been trying to get this horizontal navigation sorted for the past few hours now and nothing is working. I've tried reset.css stylesheets, *{padding: 0; margin: 0) etc. and I still have gaps inbetween my image links. You see, the navigation is made up of an unordered list of image links displayed inline, but there are gaps in between each image, left, right, top and bottom and I can't see why. It's the same in all browsers. Here is a link to the page, and so source: Beansheaf Temporary I can't post more than one link (damn reputation) so the css is at the same url but in the directory "styles" and is called "fund2.css".   I have a custom font family embedded in my WPF application which I can reference by specifying a base URI and font family name. new FontFamily(new Uri("pack://application:,,,/Fonts/"), "./#My Custom Font Family"); However, when I copy a selection which uses this font the xaml on the clipboard resembles the following <Run Text="Foo" FontFamily="./#My Custom Font Family" /> When I paste into the same RichTextBox I lose the font as it falls back to the system default because - When a FontFamily is specified as an attribute in markup, the base URI value is always implied—its value is the URI of the XAML page. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.media.fontfamily.aspx and my xaml page is not located in the same directory as the custom font family. Any ideas for a workaround?

• Mercurial merge strategy per file type

  All: I want to use kdiff to merge all files with a certain suffix (say *.c, *.h) and I want to do two things (turn off premerge and use internal:other) for all files with another suffix (say *.mdl). The purpose of this is to allow me to employ a type of 'clobber merge' for a specific file type (ie: un-mergable files like configurations, auto-generated C, models, etc..) In my .hgrc I've tried: [merge-tools] kdiff3= clobbermerge=internal:other clobbermerge.premerge = False [merge-patterns] **.c = kdiff3 **.h = kdiff3 **.mdl = clobbermerge but it still triggers kdiff3 for all files. Thoughts? An extension of this would be to perform a 'clobber merge' on a directory - but once the syntax is clear for a file suffix, the dir should be easy.

  I want to create a proc file under /proc/driver directory. I would like to use a macro like proc_root_driver (or something else provided) rather than use "driver/MODULE_NAME" explicitly. I use create_proc_entry : ... struct proc_dir_entry *simpleproc_fops_entry; simpleproc_fops_entry = create_proc_entry(MODULE_NAME, 0400, NULL /* proc_root_dir */); ... After googling, I found suggestion to use proc_root_driver, but when I use it, error "proc_root_driver undeclared in this function". And also, proc_root_driver is not available in linux/proc_fs.h. I have tried to declare structure like this: struct proc_dir_entry proc_root; struct proc_dir_entry *proc_root_driver = &proc_root; Errors gone, but proc file didn't exist under /proc/driver or /proc Anyone here can help me?
