• sqlsrv_connect() not found..

  Hey, I recently am working on an projekt that uses the "SQL Server Driver for PHP", i wanted to upgrade the existing driver to the new version (2.0), because I need some of the functions that have been implemented there. Now i replaced the old .dll in the php/ext directory and restarted the webserver. But now i recieve the following error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function sqlsrv_connect() in E:\ProjekteExtern\hades_apl\classes\sql\sqlsrv.class.php on line 34 But if i run phpinfo();, sqlsrv shows up, in the same way as the previous version did. Does anybody know this error or has an idea how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance :) Gushiken

• Build Event Macros for Other Projects in the Solution

  Is it possible to reference other projects' properties via a macro within a build event? For example: "Tool1" outputs to directory ..\..\bin\Release "Component1" uses "Tool1" in its post-buildevent To get to "Tool1", "Component1"'s project must do something like $(SolutionDir)bin\Release This requires that Tool1 always output to ..\..\bin\Release. If this is changed this breaks the other project. I know there is no indication to this within the macro list but is there a way to reference another project? Maybe like $(OtherProject.TargetDir)... I know WIX has a similar syntax [$(var.OtherProject.TargetDir)] but I think that may be a different mechanism.

• What is Restful Routing?

  I have been searching pretty hard for info out on the net to explain exactly what Restful routing is but I haven't had any success. There are a lot of resources but not a who lot make sense to me. I'm familiar with Ruby On Rails's routing system and well as how Code Igniter and PhpCake route things but is there more to it than having a centralized location where you give out routes based on a directory structure? Like this: controller/action/id/ Admin/editUser/22 I'd appreciate any help with this, it's had me baffled for months. I just thought of putting it on SO. Thanks

  I would like to deploy a Python Flask application on beanstalk. The application depends on external packages (e.g. geopy) and internal packages (e.g. adam_geography). The manual Create a requirements.txt file and place it in the top-level directory of your source bundle. This would probably fetch geopy and its dependencies, but would not fetch adam_geography which is available from a custom repo inside my VPC. How do I specify/upload private, internal Python package dependencies in a Beanstalk application?

• Best approach to a customer portal in ASP.NET MVC

  Hi All, The problem: client needs a website to serve 10+ customers, each customer has 5-10 people they wish to grant access using login & user name, once "logged in" the user can download files specific to their company. The files will be uploaded to a directory under the customer name, and displayed as a list. Currently using membership for all of the users, it's just the "by customer" segmentation I'm wondering about. the question being under ASP.NET MVC what is the cleanest or simplest approach to solving the customer segmentation, trying to avoid customer membership provider so was going to use the roles to assign customer group. Thoughts appreciated.

• How can install sqlite-ruby on linux when sqlite3 is not in /usr/local ?

  I am trying to install sqlite3 and sqlite-ruby (ruby 1.8.6) on a linux box where I do not have root. I downloaded the sqlite3 source, binaries, and shared library and placed them all in a directory called sqlite3 I then try to install sqlite-ruby using gem install sqlite-ruby --with-sqlite-dir=the_path_sqlite/sqlite3 but I keep getting the error... checking for main() in -lsqlite... no checking for sqlite.h... no * extconf.rb failed * Could not create Makefile due to some reason, probably lack of necessary libraries and/or headers. Check the mkmf.log file for more details. You may need configuration options. • Play local video with an HTML/Javascript based Adobe Air application

  I'm trying to add some video playback (that will be used for a tutorial) to my Adobe Air application. I'm not a Flex or Flash developer and my application is HTML/Javascript based, so I'm having trouble with some of the video solutions I've been able to find. Here is one of the examples I've found that is flex based: Playing local files with Air I've looked for a free flash video player that I could just embed. But the only one I've found I was unable to coerce to play files from my Air application directory. I was exited at the prospect of using the HTML5 video tag which I thought Air supported, but that also seems to not work. Can anyone recommend a free flash video player that I can embed? Or a solution that doesn't have to be built completely from flex?

• Makefile can not find boost libraries installed by macports

  I just installed boost 1.42.0 from macports using sudo port install boost. Everything worked fine. Now I have a project that I'm trying to build using a makefile. Everything builds fine until it comes to the file that needs the boost library. It says: src/graph.h:20:42: error: boost/graph/adjacency_list.hpp: No such file or directory That file is actually located in two places: /opt/local/include/boost/graph/adjacency_list.hpp and /opt/local/var/macports/software/boost/1.42.0_0/opt/local/include/boost/graph/adjacency_list.hpp In the file src/graph.h where it's looking for boost/graph/adjacency_list.hpp, the include statement is here: #include<boost/graph/adjacency_list.hpp> How do I make this work?

The structure of project directory is like this: series/ episode1/nameofepisode1.str episode2/nameofepisode2.str episode3/nameofepisode3.str ... Question: When I finish subtitle of an episode, I want to assign release tag for this episode (episode1_v1). I wanted to use git for this, but in git tag is assigned only to the whole repository. What to do, so that I can view every episode progress separately? Maybe there are some more suitable VCS for this?

  Hi, i'm new to the realm to working with Files in .NET I'm creating a WPF application in VB.NET with the 3.5 Framework. (If you provide an example in C#, that's perfectly fine.) In my project I have a Template for an MS Access database. My desired behavior is that when the users clicks File--New, they can create a new copy of this template, give it a filename, and save it to their local directory. The database already has the tables and some starting data needed to interface with my application (a user-friendly data editor) I'm thinking the approach is to include this "template.accdb" file as a resource in the project, and write it to a file somehow at runtime? Any guidance will be very, very appreciated. Thanks!

• Create a Sharepoint page but don't show in breadcrumb

  Hi, I'm struggling to do something which I thought should be straight forward, basically I need to create an aspx page which I now realise must be put into a document library but the problem I have is it's only one page and when the page is displayed the breadcrumb has a link to the document library. We really don't want the users to be able to get to the library via the breadcrumb and just want to show the page. From one of my other questions some other helpful people made some suggestions like putting the file in the _layout directory but this won't work because the new page has a master page associated with it. Any ideas how I can display the custom page but not allow normal users to navigate to the document list? Thanks! Dan

How should you package the custom control? Package the control in a Merge Module (.msm) and add the .msm file to a Windows Installer project. Package the control into a cabinet project (.cab) and add the .cab file to a Windows Installer project. Create a separate directory for the control and then package it in a Windows Installer project along with the rest of the project files. Package the control as a Web setup project and create a link to that project from the Windows Installer project. Any ideas?

For example, you have the following structure: ext/foo ext/bar In ext/bar/bar.h, you have a #include "foo.h" foo.h and foo.cpp compile to form foo.o, to make life a little more complicated. Finally, it is necessary that foo and bar be separate extensions. How is this managed? I can't figure out how to add ../foo to the search path for bar.h, primarily. Symbolic links seem hack-ish.

She has over 2GB -size repo already and growing all the time (mostly appended material i.e. more school notes, different formats, pdf, pictures and scanned, some text -files, etc). But I think plugging in Rsync somewhere could make it much better with Git. How would you help my friend to process and store the school -material under Git-version-controlling and still keep the size reasonable?   I implemented one service and it has several configuration item, such as data type, next node, blablabla. What I want to do is to deploy the service and configuration file into tomcat within one .aar. However, if I jar the service and configuration file into the aar. The service can't read the file though the file is there in the same directory. Even I put the file into tomcat_home\bin, the service fails to read the file. I know it should work. Can anybody give me a hint? Thanks.

When selecting a folder, I want an editor to open showing all files and subfolders that this folder contains. It has to work for versioned items, too.   I am currently trying to compile a simple program that includes two header files. I see them in the Solution Explorer, where I included them through "include existing files". However, when I run my program it get the following error. fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'FileWrite.h': No such file or directory. THe problem is that I see the file included in the Header's folder and in the code I have written: #include "FileWrite.h" and then the rest of the program code. Is there something else needed to do so that the compiler can see the header file and link it to the .cpp file I'm trying to compile?

• How to create a Windows GUI with a file explorer window, allowing users to choose files?

  Here's what I want to do. I want to present a file explorer, and allow the user to select files, and list the selected files below. (I then want to process those files but that's the next part) For example, the way CD Burning softwares work. I have created a mock up here http://dl.dropbox.com/u/113967/Mockup.png As you can see, the left frame has a directory structure, the right frame has a file selected, and the bottom frame shows the selected file. What framework can I go about creating this? I am familiar with command line C++ stuff, but I haven't ventured into any GUI programming, and figured this idea would be a good place to start. Any suggestions on where to start?
