  • WCF Service Authentication problem?

    I have an application which exposes lots of interfaces via net.tcp protocol, using both SecurityMode.Transport and SecurityMode.None (I really need support for both). My whole application is written in a DLL file. I have a form which consumes this DLL and now I made a Windows Service to consume this DLL. The problem is, when this windows service goes up, the insecure service throws this exception: Stream Security is required at http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing/anonymous, but no security context was negotiated. This is likely caused by the remote endpoint missing a StreamSecurityBindingElement from its binding. In the client side, nothing has changed. Is there any reason for this behaviour? The program is exactly the same. When I run the same test with the form app, it works... ps: I've already tried running the windows service as: SYSTEM, NETWORK SERVICE and my user account (which runs the form app) Thanks

  • XML/XSD intellisense not working in Visual Studio 2010

    I am working on xml and xsd files in VS 2010 but intellisense isn't working. Intellisense is working for the same files in VS 2008, however. When I type '<xs:' options like "attribute", "complexType", "simpleType", or "element" do not appear. Is there some difference between the VS 2008 and VS 2010 that I'm missing? I add an xsd file to my solution. All the proper namespaces are generated automatically as such: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <xs:schema id="XMLSchema2" targetNamespace="http://tempuri.org/XMLSchema2.xsd" elementFormDefault="qualified" xmlns="http://tempuri.org/XMLSchema2.xsd" xmlns:mstns="http://tempuri.org/XMLSchema2.xsd" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> </xs:schema> The "xsdschema.xsd" is in the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\xml\Schemas" directory.     I am running a centos 5 image on the vmware player and as of recently, I was able to check out from a repository that is no longer working. I am now getting: svn: Unknown hostname 'www.kennykong.com' It is a valid hostname and I know this because I have this svn location on Windows and I can browse/checkout no problem. After doing some searching I have (mostly blindly) assumed it's a DNS error because for i in 'grep nameserver /etc/resolv.conf | cut -d " " -f 2' ; do dig @$i domain.com ; done returns done ; <<>> DiG 9.3.6-P1-RedHat-9.3.6-4.P1.el5 <<>> @192.168.1.1 domain.com ; (1 server found) ;; global options: printcmd ;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached I am unsure what to do from here to get my centos to recognize more servers

  • ExternalInterface in flex calling javascript function works for mozilla/chrome but NOT IE

  • on hover overlay image in CSS

    I need a div with picture bg to overlay an image (with some amount transparency) when hovered on. I need to be able to have one transparent overlay that can be used and reused throughout the site on any image. My first attempt was round-about to say the least. Because I found out you cannot roll-over an invisible div I devised a sandwhich system in which the original image is the first layer, the overlay is the second layer, and the original image is third layer again. This way, when you roll-over, the original image disappears revealing the overlay image over the original image: http://www.nightlylabs.com/uploads/test.html So it works. Kinda. Because of you cannot interact with an visibility:invisible element (why?!) the roll-over flickers unless you rest the cursor on it. Any help? This method is bad so if anyone has a better one please comment.

  • How can I locate all the network printers in the enterprise?

    When I go to Printers and Faxes dialog, I can click the Add a printer link, select Network Printer, then Find a printer in the directory. From there I get a dialog box which lets me find ALL printers in the enterprise. I need to find all the network printers with my code. How can I do this? Note that I am not talking about network printers that are connected to my PC, but all network printers in the enterprise (my workplace has almost 4000 printers). P.S.     Ok so I am taking a screen shot of a photo I took with my camera on the iPhone. I put the camera photo into UIImageView and grab a screenshot of it using this sort of code (this is from http://www.skylarcantu.com/blog/2009/10/16/saving-a-view-as-an-image/)... - (void)takeScreenshot { UIWindow *theScreen = [[UIApplication sharedApplication].windows objectAtIndex:0]; UIGraphicsBeginImageContext(theScreen.frame.size); [[theScreen layer] renderInContext:UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext()]; UIImage *screenshot = UIGraphicsGetImageFromCurrentImageContext(); UIGraphicsEndImageContext(); [self doSomethingWith:screenshot]; } I have it working as I want but the image quality of the screenshot is much worse than the image I take with my camera. Is there a way to overcome this? I guess it is because this takes a screenshot which captures the resolution of the iPhone screen rather than the resolution of the camera - maybe?! Any suggestions would be great :-)

I have a profile setup like so: public class ViewModelAutoMapperConfiguration : Profile { protected override string ProfileName { get { return "ViewModel"; } } protected override void Configure() { AddFormatter<HtmlEncoderFormatter>(); CreateMap<IUser, UserViewModel>(); } } I add this to the mapper using the following call: Mapper.Initialize(x => x.AddProfile<ViewModelAutoMapperConfiguration>()); However, I now want to pass a dependency into the ViewModelAutoMapperConfiguration constructor using IoC. I am using Autofac. I have been reading through the article here: http://www.lostechies.com/blogs/jimmy_bogard/archive/2009/05/11/automapper-and-ioc.aspx but I can't see how this would work with Profiles. Any ideas?     Let's say I'm developing an iPhone app that is a catalogue of cars. The user will choose a car from a list, and I will present a detail view for the car, which will describe things like top speed. The detail view will essentially be a UIWebView that is loading an existing HTML file. Different users will live in different parts of the world, so they will like to see the top speed for the car in whatever units are appropriate for their locale. Let's say there are two such units: SI (km/h) and conventional (mph). Let's also say the user will be able to change the display units by hitting a button on the screen; when that happens, the detail screen should switch to show the relevant units. So far, here's what I've done to try and solve this. The first time the button is hit, the UIWebView doesn't change. The second time it's hit, it looks like the conventional style sheet is loaded. The third time, it switches to the SI style sheet; the fourth time, back to the conventional, and so on. So, basically, only that first button press doesn't seem to do anything. Here's the second problem. I'm not sure how to switch to the correct style sheet upon initial load of the UIWebView. I tried this: - (void)webViewDidFinishLoad:(UIWebView *)webView { NSString* command = [[NSString alloc] initWithString:@"switchToSiStyleSheet();"]; [self.webView stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString:command]; [command release]; } But, like the first button hit, it doesn't seem to do anything.     Hi i got the following problem: I want the user to authenticate my app, so i want to show the authorisation dialog. To do this, i tried the api function FB.api("/dialog/oauth", "get", {client_id: APP_ID, redirect_uri: URI}, function(response){ console.log(response); }); But i get this error: code: 2500 message: "Unknown path components: /oauth" type: "OAuthException" But why? The FB.api call should be the same like http://www.facebook.com/dialog/oauth?client_id=<app-id>&redirect_uri=<uri> If i put this url in the browser directly, the dialog is shown. ('window.location' also doesn´t work because of x-frame-options)

  • IE dropdown z-index bug

    I'm having a problem with a dropdown menu under IE (6 and 7). http://www.amaconsulting.pl/promocje.html As you can see, the dropdown hides behind the main content area in IE. It's a known bug and general advice is to set a z-index for header and content areas, so IE knows their "place", explained in the article here: http://bit.ly/coSPcI I've set the z-index of .header div to 20 and .featured, .content, .primary, .main to 1, trying to find the right div to fix the problem. While the dropdown stopped hiding behind the .featured div, it still hides behind the main content divs (either .primary or .main, .secondary is fine). The z-indexes for these divs are set in a separate stylesheet, ie.css, in case someone'll be looking for them. If someone could provide some advice, I'd be very grateful.

  • Ruby/Rails display general screen when modifications being performed on server

    I have a ruby on rails app running a server and sometimes it needs to be taken down for updates/etc. As of now, one way I see to have a general display screen during update periods (when the app is down) is to substitute the files within /srv/www/ directory to just have it display a general screen everywhere that the user could possibly navigate to. I also thought of having a central controller file that connects all others (essentially a main) but this seems counter intuitive for rails. There are many external links to these different components of the site that the user could navigate to from outside and I need to make sure that they always receive this general update screen when the app is taken down for a little. I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas.... maybe a library or something like that, I can't seem to find anything online. any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

  • jQuery: Dynamic image handling (waiting for load)

    I'm trying to write a plugin that has a built in function to wait until all images that are on the page to be loaded before it executes itself. $(window).load() only works if it's the initial load of the page, but if someone wants to pull down some HTML through AJAX that contains images, it doesn't work. Is there any good way of doing this AND implementing it so that it can be self-contained in the plug-in? I've tried looping over $('img').complete, and I know that doesn't work (the images never load, and the browser crashes under a "script takes too long to complete" bug). For an example of what I'm trying to do, visit the page I'm looking to house the plugin at: http://www.simplesli.de If you go to the "more uses" section (click it on the nav bar), you'll see that the image slideshow won't load properly. I know the current code doesn't work, but it's just holding place until I figure something out.

  • Orientation in a UIView added to a UIWindow

    OK, bear with me. I have a UIView which is supposed to cover the whole device (UIWindow) to support an image zoom in/out effect I'm doing using core animation where a user taps a button on a UITableViewCell and I zoom the associated image. The zooming is performing flawlessly, what I haven't been able to figure out is why the subview is still in portrait mode even though the device is in landscape.   • Jquery Validate Issue

    I'm using the Jquery validate plugin to validate a multi-step form like this one: http://jquery.bassistance.de/validate/demo/multipart/ Unfortunately, I can't seem to get it to work at all and there is a total lack of documentation to guide me through implemnetation. I think the accordian part of script is firing correctly because the bottom half of the form is being hidden and a 'next' button has been successfuly inserted.   • Minimax algorithm: Cost/evaluation function?

    Hi guys, A school project has me writing a Date game in C++ (example at http://www.cut-the-knot.org/Curriculum/Games/Date.shtml) where the computer player must implement a Minimax algorithm with alpha-beta pruning. Thus far, I understand what the goal is behind the algorithm in terms of maximizing potential gains while assuming the opponent will minify them. However, none of the resources I read helped me understand how to design the evaluation function the minimax bases all it's decisions on. All the examples have had arbitrary numbers assigned to the leaf nodes, however, I need to actually assign meaningful values to those nodes. Intuition tells me it'd be something like +1 for a win leaf node, and -1 for a loss, but how do intermediate nodes evaluate? Any help would be most appreciated.

  • jquery cycle "allowPagerClickBubble: true" not quite working

    Hi all, I want my page anchors to work as menu links so I used this code: $(function() { $('#slideshow').cycle({ slideExpr: 'img', fx: 'fade', speed: 2000, timeout: 4000, pager: '#nav', pagerEvent: 'mouseover', pauseOnPagerHover: true, pagerAnchorBuilder: function(idx, slide) { // return sel string for existing anchor return '#nav li:eq(' + (idx) + ') a'; }, allowPagerClickBubble: true }); }); If you click the right mouse button, you can choose to open the links and they do open just fine but a normal left button click does nothing. The thing is, they WERE working so I went to work on supposedly unrelated parts of the website and at some point the left mouse button click stopped working. Any ideas what I might have done? Left button clicking still works for everything else on the site so its not some global setting.
