  • How to escape charaters in the title of a marker in a Google Maps?

    Say I have this piece of code: var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ position: location, title: 'B&#250;fals', map: map }); This creates a marker as expected but if I hover the mouse over it I don’t see 'Búfals' as I would expect (instead I see the html code). This doesn't make any difference: var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ position: location, title: unescape('B&#250;fals'), map: map }); Any ideas? Thanks.

The problem is...if I use the normal sintax , the button works fine, but If I apply some css to id by ussing # and .(classes) ,the button it`s not working any more ?!   • How can I force input to uppercase in an asp.net textbox?

    I'm writing an asp.net application. I have a textbox on a webform and I want to force whatever the user types to upper case. I'd like to do this on the front end. You should also note that there is a validation control on this textbox, so I want to make sure the solution doesn't interfere with the asp.net validation. Clarification: It appears that the CSS text-tranform makes the user input appear in uppercase, however under the hood, it's still lower case as the validation control fails. You see, my validation control checks to see if a valid state code is entered, however the regex expression I"m using only works with uppercase characters.

    Following this post jQuery table sort (github link: https://github.com/padolsey/jQuery-Plugins/blob/master/sortElements/jquery.sortElements.js), I am successfully sort columns, however it does not work in the case of rowspan: For example, case like this Grape 3,096,671M 1,642,721M Apple 2,602,750M 3,122,020M When I click on the second column, it try to sort Apple 2,602,750M 1,642,721M Grape 3,096,671M 3,122,020M which as you can see is not correct, please any jQuery guru help me fix this problem.     I have this strange problem, how exactly does control + enter decides the domain of a website?? If i type stackoverflow,then hit control+enter, it works and takes to homepage, but i type ubuntuforums, then hit control + enter, it does not recognise its ubuntuforums.org, but goes to ubuntuforums.com?? How does this exactly work? If i need to change this behaviour, how should i do it?

  • toggleClass messing something up.

    Hi I am using playing around with the Pretty-checkboxes-plugin and have a problem. The plugin can be seen here http://aaronweyenberg.com/90/pretty-checkboxes-with-jquery As you can see, this uses two links to select and deselect. I want it to only use one link and then change the class to make it work the other way the next time it is clicked. It should be simple enough. I have been trying to get it working with toggleClass. The classes toggle just fine, but the rest of the code only works the first time it is run. All subsequent clicks just toggle the class og the link and nothing else. Does anyone have any idea why this is?

    I was reading jQuery's page for animate() http://api.jquery.com/animate/ Its examples don't mention about if using <a href="#" id="clickme">click me</a> ... $('#clickme').click(function() { $('#someDiv').animate({left: "+=60"}); }) we actually still have to return false like in the old days? $('#clickme').click(function() { $('#someDiv').animate({left: "+=60"}); return false; }) (but then, those examples didn't use a <a> for the "click me"... but used something else. Otherwise the page will jump back to the beginning of the page? Does jQuery have a more elegant or magical way of doing it?

This is when I start using jquery's live method: $('.filter').live('click', function(event) { WriteProducts(0, selectedCategoryId, PopulateDivs); }); Now from some reason, the request passed to the server becomes this: http://localhost:8080/MyApp/MyAppServices.svc/GetProducts?categoryId=**%2217%22**&fromIndex=0&toIndex=8&randomNumber=%221271799783355%22 where did these %22 come from? If I take them out, the request passes successfully. I have no idea who inserted these %22, but they are causing havoc here! Guys, do you perhaps have a clue?
