• Can I add round cornres to HtmlPanelGrid in code or in page? If yes - how?

  Hi all! I have a task - add round corners to HtmlPanelGrid. Now I am trying to do it with css (using 4 images for each corner - that css create our designer). I load css and try to do this in my code: this.grid = new HtmlPanelGrid(); this.grid.setStyleClass("toplist,toplist-top"); But no changes I could see in my page. • servlet-mapping for Wordpress on Tomcat using Quercus

  I have a web app running in Tomcat and I'm trying to add a Wordpress blog to it using Quercus. It works if I hit a .php file in my blog, but links to my articles are structured like http://myapp.com/blog/2011/01/my-first-post/ which don't work. • Project setup for creating third party libraries for Android

  Hi all, I am creating a library for Android that others can include in their own project. So far I have been working on it as a normal Java project with JDK 1.6 setup as system library. This works just fine in Eclipse when I add the android.jar. The issue comes when I try to my build script. I am running Gradle and doing a normal compile and test build cycle. My thoughts were that it does not matter if I compile it with a normal JDK, since this is not a standalone application. The benefits by creating a normal Java project is that Gradle does support this much better. My project also does not contain any UI at all. However, the problem is that of course android.jar and the JDK contains lots of the same classes and I think that this is what messes up my build script. Everything crashes when running the tests (the tests are in the same project under src/test/java). My question is, how should I create this project that is meant to be included in Android projects as a third party library? Should I create it as an Android project in Eclipse even though I am only creating a library that does not use any of the UI features? Also, should the tests be in a separate project? • Flex: How to resize DisplayObject to fit panel in Flex application

  I am trying to attach some of my actionscript class, inherited from Sprite, to my Flex application by attaching it to a UIComponent, then add UIComponent to a panel. However, the size of my Sprite class appears to be larger than the panel. So, I try to resize it using DisplayObject.scale property, but I need to know the size of my container. Since I try to make my code reusable, I figure that I should let my Sprite class handle the resize by getting it via its parent property (let's say, I can resize it by set this.scaleX = this.parent.Width/this.width or something like this) However, my Sprite class's parent, which is the UIComponent, has width/height of 0. So, my question is: 1) Is there any better way to resize DisplayObject class to fit its container when attached to Flex object? 2) If you know, why my UIComponent's size remain 0 and my DisplayObject still appears at its full size? • Spring: PropertyPlaceHolderConfigurer to set values for non-string/integer properties

  Hi, All the examples I have seen where the PropertyPlaceHolderConfigurer is used seem to be setting simple values like Strings and ints. How do you use the PPC to set the values of classes. E.g. If i had a class signature Source(String name, DistributionSample batch, DistributionSample delay) How would I go about setting the batch and delay properties. There is also a small catch. DistributionSample is an abstract class. On the bright side, The class that is using the propertyPlaceHolder knows the beanName of the "Solid" class that needs to be instantiated. Any help would be much appreciated.

• Why would someone use ob_start in this manner and what is the point?

  Something is failing in the class I copied over. It's not my class, but the relevant bit that fails is: class foo { function process() { ob_start( array( &$this, 'parseTemplate' ) ); } function parseTemplate(){} } Does anyone know what the ob_start expression is supposed to do? Call the parse_template method in the context of a copy of &$this? PHP Version is 5.3.2-1. I suspect that the class was coded for 5.0-5.2 and it breaks in 5.3? or could it be something else?

  Has there been an announcement (outside microformats.org) that the value-class-pattern is fully accessible? e.g. given <abbr class="value" title="2008-06-24">this Tuesday</abbr>, will a screen reader say "24 June 2008" or will it say "2008 dash 6 dash 24"? History Microformats came along, and were great, except that dates etc were stored in abbr tags: <abbr class="dtstart" title="20070312T1700-06"> March 12, 2007 at 5 PM, Central Standard Time </abbr>` This lead to screen readers doing ridiculous things as noted in hAccessibility. Now that microformats.org have released the value-class-pattern it's a lot better. But I'm left unable to find a declaration from WaSP (or another accessibility source not directly tied to microformats) that declaratively states that they are now accessible to screen readers etc.

• Unit tests for deep cloning

  Let's say I have a complex .NET class, with lots of arrays and other class object members. I need to be able to generate a deep clone of this object - so I write a Clone() method, and implement it with a simple BinaryFormatter serialize/deserialize - or perhaps I do the deep clone using some other technique which is more error prone and I'd like to make sure is tested. OK, so now (ok, I should have done it first) I'd like write tests which cover the cloning. All the members of the class are private, and my architecture is so good (!) that I haven't needed to write hundreds of public properties or other accessors. The class isn't IComparable or IEquatable, because that's not needed by the application. My unit tests are in a separate assembly to the production code. What approaches do people take to testing that the cloned object is a good copy? Do you write (or rewrite once you discover the need for the clone) all your unit tests for the class so that they can be invoked with either a 'virgin' object or with a clone of it? How would you test if part of the cloning wasn't deep enough - as this is just the kind of problem which can give hideous-to-find bugs later?

  Hi, I am developing an iPhone application that uploads videos to TwitVid using the library TwitVid-iPhone-OAuth3. I have selected this library since Twitter is shifting to OAuth mechanism of authentication. 1) Does this new library allows to upload without user-name and password parameters? 2) I am using the following steps for uploading videos (assumed that new library allows to upload without user-name and password parameters). But, I am getting the error 'Incorrect Signature'. I am not able to identify the mistake that I am doing here. Could you please help me out to solve this problem. Authenticate the app using OAuth (MGTwitterEngine etc) which redirects the user to the web-page asking for log-in and app authentication. If the user authenticates the app, access token will obtained as final step. • VPython in Eclipse - thinks it has the wrong architecture type.

  Evening, So I've recently installed VPython on my MacBook (OS X, Snow Leopard) - and it works absolutely fine in IDLE and from the command line (interactive mode). However, eclipse has issues. Firstly it couldn't find it (which is a bit of an issue actually with all these 'easy install' python modules - when they don't tell you where they actually install to!) but I searched it out in the depths of Library\Frameworks... and added that to the System PYTHONPATH listbox in Eclipse. Now it can find it, but it says the following: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/Users/duncantait/dev/workspace/Network_Simulation/src/Basic/Net_Sim1.py", line 15, in <module> import visual File "/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/site-packages/visual/__init__.py", line 59, in <module> import cvisual ImportError: dlopen(/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/site-packages/visual/cvisual.so, 2): no suitable image found. Did find: /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/site-packages/visual/cvisual.so: mach-o, but wrong architecture I am guessing that VPython might not be built for a 64-bit architecture (Intel), but the fact remains that it works in both IDLE and command prompt... I prefer the second, but it requires the IReporter to have a CameraData field (which gets changed by GetCameraInfo()), which feels weird.   I want to insert some script that is required for my JavaScript library in all view pages. I know that Asp.net MVC is built on Asp.net Framework. Therefore, I can override many methods in “System.Web.UI.Page” class that is a parent of “System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage” class. Nevertheless, I can do it by override Render method but it makes all view pages be invalid for XHTML 1.0 strict. • How to create a rails habtm that deletes/destroys without error?

  I created a simple example as a sanity check and still can not seem to destroy an item on either side of a has_and_belongs_to_many relationship in rails. Whenever I try to delete an object from either table, I get the dreaded NameError / "uninitialized constant" error message. To demonstrate, I created a sample rails app with a Boy class and Dog class. I used the basic scaffold for each and created a linking table called boys_dogs. I then added a simple before_save routine to create a new 'dog' any time a boy was created and establish a relationship, just to get things setup easily. dog.rb class Dog < ActiveRecord::Base has_and_belongs_to_many :Boys end boy.rb class Boy < ActiveRecord::Base has_and_belongs_to_many :Dogs def before_save self.Dogs.build( :name => "Rover" ) end end schema.rb ActiveRecord::Schema.define(:version => 20100118034401) do create_table "boys", :force => true do |t| t.string "name" t.datetime "created_at" t.datetime "updated_at" end create_table "boys_dogs", :id => false, :force => true do |t| t.integer "boy_id" t.integer "dog_id" t.datetime "created_at" t.datetime "updated_at" end create_table "dogs", :force => true do |t| t.string "name" t.datetime "created_at" t.datetime "updated_at" end end I've seen lots of posts here and elsewhere about similar problems, but the solutions are normally using belongs_to and the plural/singular class names being confused. I don't think that is the case here, but I tried switching the habtm statement to use the singular name just to see if it helped (with no luck). I seem to be missing something simple here.   Hi All, In WPF4.0, I have a class that contains other class types as properties (combining multiple data types for display). Something like: public partial class Owner { public string OwnerName { get; set; } public int OwnerId { get; set; } } partial class ForDisplay { public Owner OwnerData { get; set; } public int Credit { get; set; } } In my window, I have an ItemsControl with the following (clipped for clarity): <ItemsControl ItemsSource={Binding}> <ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <local:MyDisplayControl OwnerName={Binding OwnerData.OwnerName} Credit={Binding Credit} /> </DataTemplate> </ItemsControl.ItemTemplate> </ItemsControl> I then get a collection of display information from the data layer, and set the DataContext of the ItemsControl to this collection. The "Credit" property gets displayed correctly, but the OwnerName property does not. Instead, I get a binding error: Error 40: BindingExpression path error: 'OwnerName' property not found on 'object' ''ForDisplay' (HashCode=449124874)'. BindingExpression:Path=OwnerName; DataItem='ForDisplay' (HashCode=449124874); target element is 'TextBlock' (Name=txtOwnerName'); target property is 'Text' (type 'String') I don't understand why this is attempting to look for the OwnerName property in the ForDisplay class, rather than in the Owner class from the ForDisplay OwnerData property. Edit It appears that it has something to do with using the custom control.
