• Java: how to name boolean properties

  I just had a little surprise in a Webapp, where I'm using EL in .jsp pages. I added a boolean property and scratched my head because I had named a boolean "isDynamic", so I could write this: <c:if test="${page.isDynamic}"> ... </c:if> Which I find easier to read than: <c:if test="${page.dynamic}"> ... </c:if> However the .jsp failed to compile, with the error: javax.el.PropertyNotFoundException: Property 'isDynamic' not found on type com... I turns out my IDE (and it took me some time to notice it), when generating the getter, had generated a method called: isDynamic() instead of: getIsDynamic() Once I manually replaced isDynamic() by getIsDynamic() everything was working fine. So I've got really two questions here: is it bad to start a boolean property's name with "is"? wether it is bad or not, didn't IntelliJ made a mistake here by auto-generating a method named isDynamic instead of getIsDynamic?

• WPF RadioButton selected in UI, but seen by code as IsChecked == false

  I have some radio buttons in a group box. I select the buttons randomly, and all works perfectly from a visual standpoint and also the event handler is called each time a new button is selected. Now I have a dependency property with a callback when the value changes. When in this callback procedure I read the IsChecked value of any button, the value is False, in spite the button is visually selected (they are all false at the same time, strange). The debugger also displays all buttons unchecked. I'm not great at Hibernate to be honest, prefer straight SQL but I must learn, but i can't see what it is that is wrong.....? Any suggestions?

  Hi Guys I have a scenario, i need to send click events to an independent application. How can i do it using Windows Messaging or any other technique. So not fit for my need. Then i use. • How do I best run a search on Date when it is not a :has_many association?

  I have a number of activities that have a calculated scheduled date. The activities, for example, Email, have a email.days method which is the days from a Contact.start_date on which it should be sent. This means contact.start_date + email.days yields a date on which email is sent to contact. I would like to use link_to around the date, so I can see all the emails and associated contacts that are to be scheduled on that date. However, this "date" is not an attribute or an associate, so I'm not linking to a model's view. It's calculated. So: 1) What should the actual "format" of the date that gets passed in the URl be? What is the method to do the consistent conversion? 2) How do I (find) all instances, because this "date" is not an actual attribute, is it a calculated value which changes depending on the two associated models of Contact and Email. • How can I change the VisualState in a View from the ViewModel?

  I'm new to WPF and MVVM. I think this is a simple question. My ViewModel is performing an asynch call to obtain data for a DataGrid which is bound to an ObservableCollection in the ViewModel. When the data is loaded, I set the proper ViewModel property and the DataGrid displays the data with no problem. However, I want to introduce a visual cue for the user that the data is loading. • Very strange form behaviour

  I can't work this out. One minute it was working fine and now it's not and I can't see what's changed!! My problem is simply submitting a username and password for a login function. The form method is set to "post" but for some reason no data is getting through. If I dump $_REQUEST or $_POST they return empty. I know the form is submitting because if I change the method to "get" I receive the data as expected. Can anyone think of any reason why "get" would work when "post" isn't?!?!? If it's relevant, I'm using the codeigniter framework.

I call web service, everything is ok. Then I revoke this certificate in certification authority. Certificate is in Revoked certificate. I call web service with this certificate, but web service verify this certificate as good, but this certificate is between revoked. I don't know why? Anybody help me please? I use this method on verify certificate. X509Certificate2.Verify Method I don't get any exception, certificate is between revoked, but web service verify this certificate as good.

• I need to stop execution during recursive algorithm

  Hey, I have a problem in choosing the right method to accomplish my goal. I'm working on Algorithms teaching system, I'm using C#. I need to divide my algorithm into steps, each step will contain a recursion. I have to stop execution after each step, user can then move to the next step(next recursion) using a button in my GUI. After searching, threads was the right choice, but I found several methods: (Thread.sleep/interrupt): didn't work, my GUI freezed !! (Suspend/Resume): I've read that it's a bad idea to use. (Waithandles): still reading about them. (Monitor wait/resume). I don't have much time to try and read all previous methods, please help me in choosing the best method that fits my system.Any suggestions are extremal welcomed.

• How to update widgets from a service?

  I have a background service that can be configured to perform some action every x minutes. I want to implement a widget that gets updated every time my service performs that action. However, I can't get the onUpdate method of my AppWidgetProvider called in any way, except when adding a widget to the homescreen. I tried sending APPWIDGET_UPDATE intents but onUpdate did not get called although the AppWidgetProvider did receive the intent since the onReceive method was called. Is there any way I can trigger widget updates from a service?

• Jquery load() help

  Hi. I am creating a portfolio page for m personal site. I have a slider with approx 20 anchors that link to projects I have worked on, each one contains a client logo that when clicked should load some html content then fade that content into a container div on the same page. I have been advised to use the JQuery method load() which seems straight forward. The question I have is do I have to repeat the following code for each of the 20 anchors as the url is different for each one or is there a more efficient way? $('a#project1').click(function() { $('#work').load('ajax/project1.html'); } Also would I have to use the unload() method first to ensure the div I am loading into is empty? • WLI domain with 3 servers - issues on JPD process startup

I'm currently working on a clustered WLI environment which comprehends 3 servers: 1 admin server ("AdminServer") and 2 managed servers ("mn1" and "mn2") grouped as a cluster, as follows: Architecture diagram: http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/4112/clusterdiagram.jpg I've developed a JPD process to execute some scheduled tasks, invoked using a Message Broker. I've deployed this project into a single-server WLI domain (with AdminServer only) and it works as expected: the JPD process is invoked (I've configured a Timer Event Generator instance to start it up). Message broker: http://img532.imageshack.us/img532/1443/wlimessagebroker.jpg Timer event generator: http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/7358/wlitimereventgenerator.jpg In order to achieve fail-over and load-balancing capabilities, I'm currently trying to deploy this JPD process into this clustered WLI environment. Although, I'm having some issues with this, as I cannot get it to work properly, even if it still works. Here is a screenshot of the "WLI Process Instance Monitor" (with AdminServer and mn1 instances up and running): http://img710.imageshack.us/img710/8477/wliprocessinstancemonit.jpg According to this screen the process seems to be running, as it shows in this instance monitor screen. However, I don't see any output coming out neither at AdminServer console or mn1 console.   I stored salt and hash values of password during user registration... But during their login i then salt and hash the password given by the user, what happens is a new salt and a new hash is generated.... string password = collection["Password"]; reg.PasswordSalt = CreateSalt(6); reg.PasswordHash = CreatePasswordHash(password, reg.PasswordSalt); These statements are in both registration and login.... salt and hash during registration was eVSJE84W and 18DE22FED8C378DB7716B0E4B6C0BA54167315A2 During login it was 4YDIeARH and 12E3C1F4F4CFE04EA973D7C65A09A78E2D80AAC7.....   I am a little unsure as to how to manage sessions within my nunit test fixtures. In the following test fixture, I am testing a repository. My repository constructor takes in an ISession (since I will be using session per request in my web application). In my test fixture setup I configure NHibernate and build the session factory. In my test setup I create a clean SQLite database for each test executed.   Hi I've been working on a project in Netbeans. Now I'd like to submit it and allow the markers to compile it with a script. However, I get the NoClassDefFoundError when I try to run via the command line.
