• Mouse Events lost on zoom in silverlight

  Hi All, I'm running into an issue where I seem to be losing mouse events. Essentially I have a grid with a bunch of controls that get refreshed (removed/re-added via Grid.Children.Clear and Grid.Children.Add(control) ) via a WCF_Service. If I zoom in to a part of the grid where no control exists, I'm unable to zoom out. I have implemented zoom to mouse position but have logic to ensure the coordinates of the grid are never beyond the window of screen. (Eg: Grid.ActualWidth must be 0 and Translate.X must be < Grid.ActualWidth - 200) I have also experienced this where I can still see a section of one of the controls, but it still is not able to zoom out (unless I'm over the control). Appreciate any and all help.

• padding not shifting my logo

  I have a logo link that's using a background-image (css sprite). All works fine, but when I try to add a 20px padding to the top of the link (to give it more space for user to click the link), the background image is not moving down.   Hi all I wrote a control, and use a tool to do the code analysis. There is a test that I didn't pass. Avoid excessive locals, http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/ms182263(VS.90).aspx. In my CreateChildControls function, I built a big table with lots of field. I need to create a lot of TableRow and TableCell to construct the table. But these are not field or property of control. Thery are local variables in the function, which are created dynamically. Should I make these TableCells and TableRows as fields of the control? Or I just keep them as the local variables in the CreateChildControl function? Best Regards,

• How do I specify both icons for a universal iPhone/iPad app?

  I hope to create a single app that supports both the iPhone and the iPad. The app works in the simulator for both devices as desired. Now I'm trying to build and deploy it. I set the "Icon File" in the plist to the 57x57 .png image and when I build and try to submit the app ItunesConnect complains about needing a 72x72 .png image for the iPad. If I specify the "Icon File" to the 72x72 .png ItunesConnect complains about needing a 57x57 image for the iPhone. How do I specify both icons in a single plist?

Is there a clear differentiation between SRC and HREF? where/when to use SRC or HREF? I think they can't be used interchangeably. • UISplitViewController Common View

  is it possible to have a common view for both master and detail view controllers. What if I need to add a header image(at top, the very first view) common for both the master and detail view controllers. When the device is in the portrait mode the width of the header image view has to shrink to fit to the detail view controller's view and when the orientation changes to landscape the width of the same header image view has to be expanded that is the width of it has to be 1024. Please tell me whether doing this is possible. or any workaround for this?

• HTML5 drag & drop: The dragged element content is missing in Webkit browsers.

  I'm trying to implement something similar to a cart where you can drop items from a list. This items (<li> elements) has some elements inside (divs, span, and that stuff). The drag and drop itself works great. But the dragged element's image doesn't show its content in Webkit browsers. My list element has a border an a background color. In Firefox, the image is the whole item. In Webkit browsers, only the dragged element without content. I see the background and border, but without text inside. • Scroll the entire page with with UITableView that doesn't take up the entire screen

  The only UITableViews I have worked with thus far are sized to fill the entire page. I'm trying to create a page in my app where I will have an image and a label on the top of the page followed by a UITableView to hold comments below it. Something like this springs to mind: http://www.inquisitr.com/wp-content/fbb.jpg My problem is if I add a UITableView below the image and label, when I scroll the tableview then only the UITableView cells scroll. Not the entire page. How would I go about making the entire page scroll so that the label and image scroll off the page and more table cells appear? Thanks.

  Hi. Among many animation scenarios, there are times when I want an object to move a straight line then change direction, move another straight line and so forth. Assuming I would use either UIImageView or CABasicAnimation with image arrays. Does it make difference to provide more images when the object is moving in a straight line? For example, point1 ---------point2 ------- point3 (all points are in a straight line) Providing an image at point2 to UIImageView or CABasicAnimation, gives any better animation result, assuming I don't need to change the animation speed along the course? If I were flashing each image myself, yes it would make the animation look smooth, but I'm giving the images to UIImageView/CABasicAnimation, and wonder what they do. Thank you

The page has aspx Submit button with onclientclick event and ocClick event. <asp:Button ID="btn_upload" Text="External Upload" runat="server" OnClientClick="Javascript:StartUpload();" OnClick="btn_upload_Click" /> When I click on the aspx Submit Button, the file selected in Silverlight control should be uploaded and after the completion of upload, the Server side event should get called. I tried for it but was not able to do so. Please help me out!....

• Having two backgrounds for an active menu item?

  Hi I have a dynamic menu where the ul li items change in width depending on the text set in the CMS (Joomla). They want the menu item, on mouse over, to both have 1. a repeated background image and 2. an image placed at the top (http://screencast.com/t/Zjk4YTJmNGQ). Now, I'm great with doing the repeated background image on a mouse over and that would be great, but I am not sure how to get both of these images in one css declaration. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I haven't learned this technique yet :(

  Hello, To start off, what I have is a simple Winforms app, with just a save and load button, and with a datagridview control to hold data. What I am looking to do is input some data into the control, hit the save button, and it save all the data to a file locally on the computer, and when I hit load, it loads the file and populates the control appropriately, keeping all rows, columns, and data the same as when saved. Although it sounds fairly simple to me, I cant seem to figure a good way to save and load the data. Can I get a few pointers or examples to get myself started? Thank you.

I gave a search through here looking for an answer to this question, but was only able to find information on image replacement and the infamous h1 debate. For example would: <h1><img src="#" alt="Contact Us" /></h1> Act the same as: <h1>Contact Us</h1> In the electronic eye of a search engine? This seems considerably less "CSS Hacky" than other image replacement techniques like negative text indents, display:none, height:0, or ridiculous z-index integers.

  Hi, I have two large source trees. One of them has some out of date image files. I would like to automatically update all the old image files (png, jpg, gif) in one source tree with the up to date image files in the other source tree. I am using Windows 7 but I have Cygwin installed. I have tried using rsync so far but with no success. I was hoping I could do something like: rsync -r *.png newSourceTree oldSourceTree Any help would be much appreciated.

• Portrait vs Landscape Launch Images

  An iPad app can support inclusion of launch images in both orientations; presumably, if your app supports auto-rotation, then this would suggest to me that if the user launches an app while the device is in Landscape mode, then the Landscape launch image is used. But in all the apps I've built and released, this has never been the case. Never once has the Landscape launch image appeared, only the Portrait. After loading, the app will auto-rotate to whatever orientation the device is in, but at launch, it assumes you are in Portrait. Always. Why? I have seen many other apps in the store that behave this way, but then there are some seem to always automatically know immediately at first launch, from that first launch image, that you are in Landscape, if that's the case. How is this done?

  Im using Windows Server 2008, IIS7, .NET 4 and when I use the FileUpload control to save a file to a directory I get : Access to the path 'C:\xxx\Websites\CMS\Admin\test' is denied. I have given the test folder full control permissions for NETWORK SERVICE but it makes no difference. I have given full control to the Everyone user but makes no difference. It might have something to do with the fact that up in the CMS folder there is a MVC web application and in the CMS\Admin folder there is a web forms web application. It is the web forms web application that is trying to upload the file and getting the permissions error. Can anyone offer a suggestion.

• Are there any good Javascript/Jquery thumbnail script equivalents to TimThimb (PHP)?

  For those unaware of TimThumb, it will take any image, of any size or dimension and create a thumbnail on the fly to any desired size. The beauty of it is that it really works on any dimension you feed it through a combination of either resizing the image, cropping or zoom cropping the image. Ive been searching for jscript equvalents but they either require the user to actually mask out the thumbs manually (looking for a script that automatically does it to images) or the scripts can't handle images in a different aspect ratio.   i am learning Java at the moment and have the following question: i am adding my controls to JFrame and then pack() before displaying. this runs the application and all is very nice. i was wondering is there a way to stop the user from resizing the application window? also is there a way to for the image in JLabel to expand as the user changes the application window? at the moment i have it as: constraints.fill = GridBagConstraints.BOTH; constraints.anchor = GridBagConstraints.CENTER; and it only centers the image, i would like to be able to expand/shrink the image. thanks.

We cannot read control values changed by the user because that changed value will get loaded after LoadPostData() event fires.
