• wxHaskell on OS X

  I want to use wxHaskell on OS X (Snow Leopard, MacBook Pro). I was able to install the library successfully and the script below: module Main where import Graphics.UI.WX main :: IO () main = start hello hello :: IO () hello = do f <- frame [text := "Hello!"] quit <- button f [text := "Quit", on command := close f] set f [layout := widget quit] does result in a window being displayed with a single button, as specified. However, nothing happens when I click the button - I don't even get the visual response of the button turning blue to indicate that it's been depressed (haha, no pun intended). I've heard that you have to run a package called "macosx-app" on wxHaskell binaries to get them to run, but I can't find this anywhere. It's not on my machine or (as far as I can tell) in the WX or wxHaskell distros. Anyone know what I need to do to get this to work?

Anyway, it is strange that it works in the first version but not the other two versions.

  Hi there, I'm struggling a bit with this regular expression and wondered if anyone was about to help me please? What I need to do is isolate the 1st phrase inside a string which is NOT inside an HTML tag. So the examples I have at the moment are: This is some test text about ITS for the ITS department. Also worth mentioning ABS as well I guess.ITS, ... and ... This is some ITS test text about ITS for the ITS department. Also worth mentioning ABS as well I guess So in the first example I want it to ignore the wrapped ITS and give me the ITS at the end of the 1st sentence. In the second example I want it to return the ITS at the start of the 2nd sentence. The aim is to replace these with my own custom wrapped acronym tags in a ColdFusion application I'm writing.   I have wpf datagrid with number of template columns. some of them have textbox in them in edit mode and some combobox. i need to give cut/copy/paste facility to user from main menu (ribbon) buttons of my application. when i select some text from textbox and press copy button from main menu. copy button becomes active control so i loose textbox as active control by which i could get selected text. (any solution for this) and second thing i wanted to ask... is there any event get fired when we select textbox's contents? or solution would be appreciated. Thanks in advance...

Please Wait"; } What I want to do is when the app has finsihed loading I want to change the preloaders text to "configuring". Then I want to go and do a bunch of setup stuff in my code. Once I've done all the setup I wanted how can I get the Preloader to dispatch its Event.complete from else where in my code? I tried Application.application.preloader but it comes up null. So I guess my question really is how to access a preloader from anywhere in my application. Would a better approach be to have all setup classes as members of my preloader class?

  In my Silverlight app I want a multi-line text box to expand every time the user hits Enter. The difficult part is how to calculate the correct height based on the number of text lines. I have tried the following but the textbox becomes too small: box.Height = box.FontSize*lineCount + box.Padding.Top + box.Padding.Bottom + box.BorderThickness.Top + box.BorderThickness.Bottom; What am I missing here? However some further customization is required, involving more than 1 question per page, and a multi-type answer in this type of format: Question 1: Describe 4 things you did last summer a) [ short answer space - text field ] b) "I wept" c) "My whole family died so I learned self reliance" d) "I got another xbox" Question 2: Describe 2 things you hate about yourself a) "My arms are way shorter than my legs" b) "I was born without human emotion" So I guess in two parts, how to show multiple questions per page, and then how to allow multiple text fields for answers. Oh and this quiz is not graded, it's like a self assessment. Thanks!

  Hello, I have an ASP.NET application that uses themes. Let's pretend I have a theme named "MySkin". I have a page that is in a sub-directory of my application. When I reference a page that uses "MySkin", I noticed that ASP.NET renders a link element that walks up to the root of the site and then down into the App_Themes directory. Here is an example link element I found in a rendered ASP.NET page: <link href="../../App_Themes/MySkin/theme.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" /> Is there a reason that the rendered link element does not use the following instead: <link href="/App_Themes/MySkin/theme.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" /> Is this a browser compatibility issue or is there another reason? The reason I am asking is because I am rendering my ASP.NET page using Server.Execute and storing the result in a different directory. Because of this, I would prefer to use the second way to reference my theme's css. Thank you!

• Linking Libraries in Xcode

  Hey all, I'm using a powerbook (osx 10.5) and recently downloaded and installed FFTW 3.2 (link text). I've been able to compile and run some simple programs based on the online tutorial using the terminal: g++ main.cpp -lfftw3 -lm however, I can't get the same program to compile in Xcode. I get a linking error, "symbol(s) not found". There is a file called libfftw3.a in /usr/local/lib. How can this be linked? Furthermore, apparently the libraries have to be linked in a particular order, i.e. see: link text thanks for any help

So far I have looked at Umbraco, which looks good but the help is poor and the getting started video section is empty, and dotnetnuke, which again looks good but I get the impression its aimed at non developers, plus to has much more than I need and want. In my last job I created a basic custom CMS system that worked by simply adding values into the database, the application called the text from there. it worked fine but I don’t have the source code. what I'm after is a simple CMS system that really just controls text and images, I dont need all the fancy stuff thats in umbraco and dotnetnuke, all the design and CSS i can do myself. also as im working with MVC (which is awesome, and such a breath of fresh air compared to the web forms/telerik crap I have to put up with at work) it needs to be compatible. • Scrapy Not Returning Additonal Info from Scraped Link in Item via Request Callback

  Basically the code below scrapes the first 5 items of a table. One of the fields is another href and clicking on that href provides more info which I want to collect and add to the original item. So parse is supposed to pass the semi populated item to parse_next_page which then scrapes the next bit and should return the completed item back to parse Running the code below only returns the info collected in parse If I change the return items to return request I get a completed item with all 3 "things" but I only get 1 of the rows, not all 5.   Hi everyone, I have some issues with a PHP file that is not working properly. The Content-type does not get recieved by any browser at all. Firebug interprets the file as text/html instead of css. • jQuery Selectors: how to access an a tag, whose span has a specific class?

  I'm messing around with FullCalendar jQuery calendar, and qTips, so that I can display more information about the event upon mouseover. I've added a summary element to the FullCalendar js, and also my server code. I then added a new qTip in the eventMouseover method, based on the span class, which works prefectly. However, if the event stretches over a couple of days, the qTip only works (because it is a span tag), on the text itself, not the entire blue strip. What I want to do is to assign the qTip to the a tag, and make the a tags display block.
