    I'm doing some tests in a 2010 Information Worker Demonstration and Evaluation Virtual Machine (SP1). However, after a few days (maybe ~180), Office is now saying that it needs to be activated. I've tried rearming with OSPPREARM.EXE, but I get the following error: "The security processor reported that the maximum allowed number of re-arms has been exceeded. You must re-install the OS before trying to re-arm again." How can I circumvent this, without losing all the data I have in the VM?

    I want to copy all tortoisesvn related settings from one machine to another. Where are these stored? Update: While some of the settings are stored at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TortoiseSVN as stated below, there are other settings that are not. Comments seem to indicate these are Subversion specific settings as opposed to TortoiseSVN, but I cannot find where these are located.

  • Using a hypercard file on a Windows machine

    Hello, my parents were cleaning out their house and found an old Mac Classic which I used a long time ago to run HyperCard. I made a couple things which I'd like to keep but I don't know what appliations will even run Hypercard files anymore. Also, I'm using a Windows computer now. Can anyone recommend an emulator or some way to convert it to something I can use on my Windows machine?

    In /var/log/messages, this error occurred: Sep 19 13:18:15 wdc kernel: [2772302.630416] Machine check events logged Shortly there after, the entire server became unresponsive. This is in the log of the Dom0 for a Xen Server (running the latest version on Debian Squeeze). Can anyone shed some light on what this error means? Should I be ordering new hardware? Edit: Also, it seems to imply it logged something, where can I find that?

    I'm developing on my ubuntu 9.10 machine for the web (php). I'm using it sendmail for sending mails, and while developing on my local machine, I send local mails (to my user 'doron'). Up until a few days ago, I was able to send mails both from php's mail() function, and from the command line using the mail command. I'm using sendmail with mailutils. Since the last few days, it seems like it stopped working.     I've followed the instructions and installed and configured the Windows Virtual PC XP Mode. I've added it as a machine on the network and can log into it and use network resources. In the process I removed the saved credentials, which are just a default local login to the VM. I need to know how to set this so that the VM auto logs in with the domain account credentials used to log into the physical computer. Google hasn't helped me find the answer.

    I'm trying to run Tor in virtual machine. It used to work, but now when I try to access sites I get "502 bad gateway" error from Privoxy instead of requested site. I tried fixing time to correct one with date command but I still get 502 error. I use Virtualbox, Linux guest, and Tor+Privoxy setup.

    Hi, 1) Is there a way for me to install VirtualBox as a non root user? I compiled it from the sources but cannot find a way to load the kernel modules it requires? Is there anyway to make it run? 2) Is there any other virtualization software you have ever installed on linux successfully as a non root user, VMWare, Parallels, etc.?   • Run Rails server on client's local machine for single tenancy [on hold]

    We are building a Rails application for a client that wants to run the app locally to be close to their data center for best performance. I had assumed we would use a standard web host. What requirements should we demand of the client's infrastructure..all I can think of so far is remote access for developers and a Linux machine? We don't have server admin expertise so would need to contract this, I doubt the client has the expertise. Does this sound like a recipe for disastor?!
